Headed out to the Avon Valley National Park with Cravo10 to find two of the states oldest geocaches. Geocache number 1 and geocache number 2 by Nissan.

We had a few others on the radar aswell today throughout the park, but they are a major part of a goal we are working towards in relation to finding the oldest caches in Western Australia.

We had a few false starts at a few different tracks as we tried to get into the quarry to get the unloved, but couldn’t find a way in, so headed straight into the National park and found a few caches and checked out a few of the campsites around which were in great condition. We got some assistance in relation to what tracks to take to get to our goals for the day so we are very grateful for the PAF assistance there.

All in all a great day out and brilliant to find some original logbooks from the very early days of caching in this state.

Thanks to the COs for their hides.

Out and about for overnighter in the Avon Valley National Park with some clowns, namely AlliedOz, Kyzabra & SVKR_WA with chickenhawk07 along for the ride as well. We set up camp early at the Valley Campsite and hit the tracks chasing down some oldies and any others that took our fancy.

Young chickenhawk07 was onto this one in a flash. Congratulations on your first hide, I look forward to seeing more around here to give me an extra reason to come back.

WesternAdventurer I found your cache at 10:59am, this was the 5th of 9 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6336. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

SVKR_WA, Granett, Allied_Oz and I headed out for an overnighter to the Avon Valley with primary targets being a few oldies and a few bevvies. We love a good camping trip and even if it’s just one night, the FOTT don’t miss an opportunity. Chickenhawk07 came along for the ride as well.

The plan was hatched, updated by Granett (as per usual) and after setting up camp nice and early, we headed out.

Can’t believe we are 2TF equal so long after the first to find.

Many thanks to WesternAdventurer for placing and maintaining Parrot Bush. We found this one at 10:59 am on Saturday and this is my find 8794.

Granett, AlliedOz, Kyzabra and I were keen to plan a camping trip. After much debate the Avon Valley was decided upon.

This morning we all set off with Chickenhawk07 also in tow. First stop was the campground, hoping to get a suitable spot for an evening feed and fire.

We then headed out into the park to grab as many of the surrounding caches as we could. This area is a haven for old caches and these were high on our list for the day.

Quick find here.

WesternAdventurer SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Parrot Bush today at 10:58:31 17 Oct 2020. This brings my find count to 4389

WesternAdventurer - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

I put out a call with my free days in a chat, after some 2ing and frying it was decided Avon Valley for a quick overnighter. Caching with a majority of the FellowshipOfTheTrail guys to pick up some caches around the area. We set up camp early and then hit the tracks and trails with some oldies in our sights and whatever other caches that made the list.

Today I'm out and about on the trails with FOTT members Granett, Kyzabra and SVKR_WA, tagging along and helping out with the funds is chickenhawk07.

Quick park and grab , great for the middle of the day caching.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache WesternAdventurer you help make this game what it is.

I have been eyeing off this cache for a few days & today I couldn't resist the urge to get out & find it Big Grin With Jase being away I didn't want to go scratch up his car, so a few false starts were made before being on route to the cache Surprised We still found our approach to be quite adventurous & was always going to be with a cache name of "Parrot Bush" Razz Eventually we arrived at GZ, kids were pumped & bounded towards the prize which DM09 quickly discovered in its little hidey hole [D]

Well Done & Congrats on your first cache WesternAdventurer... Its a great hide in one of our favorite places to visit CoolCoolCool

Now, back to some more adventures of getting the hell out of there....... Wink Cheers!!!
