#5998 Nice hide here but the hint threw us off track for a bit. Enjoying a couple of days in Westonia as we slowly make our way home to NE Victoria. TFTC PollyMichele.
Stopped here to camp here on our caravanning trip around Australia. Could not look for it yesterday as there was another camper parked nearby. Luckily he left early today so I went to look for it. Took me a little while to find. I was in the right place but not quite getting it. Tried a few options before it worked. Thanks for the cache
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 72 - Wyalkatchem to Westonia via Trayning, Nungarin and Merredin. Today I was back at heading to new Counties. I stopped at as many of the roadside caches as I could. I did a few cemetery multis. When I reached Merredin, it was time to do some Labs alongside some great caches around town. I was happy to get off the main road and head towards Westonia where my afternoon was split up by a few different activities before cooking dinner at the van. I'm heading back west on a new row of counties north of the past few.I checked into the caravan park and had a great chat with the caretaker. My next activity was a walk into town for the final two caches. This cache took two visits, there was a van right alongside the fence at the cache. Later as I was in the pub, I heard them talking to the bar tender about the camping site, so I headed back for another look without any \one watching The cache was found after a few tries I would not like to drop it.Thanks for the cache PollyMichele48359.25 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 24 Hours 48 Finds A#292**Albida**
A tricky hide that took a good search, definitely not magnetic now. Had to read through logs, had the search zoned back in to trust the coords. Doesn't leave a lot of options but still missed it the first try, second and a lot firmer had the reveal. Thanks for the cache.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA and down to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield National Park, Wyndham, the Gibb River Road, Monkey Mia, Meekatharra, Wiluna, Laverton & Warburton.TFTC. Very tricky hide. It's not magnetic. Hate to drop it.
Such a beautiful little town which we really did enjoy exploring. It was a quick find for us here at the church grounds and then we continued our drive exploring the area. Thanks PollyMichele Domsky
Not magnetic as hint says as has been replaced thanks to OOHYEH! Nice quick find once we read the logs.Pazza hinted that he wanted to visit this historical town so on our way back from the Aurora/Helena Ranges this was a must! Loved the gorgeous town, stopped at the museum and WOW! ...so good! They have put so much effort into restoring this town, it is surreal!Thank you PollyMichele for placing and OOHYEH for maintaining St Luke's for us and others to find and enjoy!
No need to enter the premises so that is good. We always feel odd going places we think we shouldn't.Cache was found after thinking of various options.
No joy for me today, I might be back! Even with the hint and a thorough search of the obvious at GZ look at other spots.
Moving today from Merredin to Southern Cross. We unhitched the caravan at Carrabin before ducking up the road to Westonia. Back down to collect the house then a detour to Yerbillon for the AdLab and a stop at Moorine Rock before setting up camp at Southern Cross. Then a quick trek to Ghooli for the AdLab and a stop at the only unfound cache for us in town here at Southern Cross.

On a big road trip to Perth - Brim, Paruna, Murray Town, Kooma View Farmhouse, Penong, Nullarbor Roadhouse, Mundrabilla Roadhouse, Caiguna Roadhouse, Norseman, Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. We arrived in the quaint little town of Westonia late yesterday and after setting up camp at the local Caravan Park we headed out again and ended up checking out the Edna May Mine from the lookout and finding the nearby cache there. This morning we went to the Hood-Penn Museum in the Old Club Hotel before wandering over the road to find the WST - Westonia cache. This was the last cache we were going to look for in Westonia before heading off. We looked at quite a few possible options without luck, then it was the ever inquisitive Mr Pooky who just happen to stumble on the well hidden cache. A favourite from us. TF placing this cache here for us to find on our travels.
Epic fail you pwned us n00bs... You are only as good as your next find.
My surname is Luke. Muggle blocked by the nearby campers.

Quick find today while passing through on my Easter break caching and sightseeing in the wheatbelt and Goldfields.
Had me stuffed for a while but a flick through past logs was of assistance.

Don't believe the hint, total red herring. Trust your GPS, co order are very good.
Going no where until reading the reviews, particular 29/3/.22. The hint irrelevant. Thanks for the challenging exercise.
Cache in good condition.
This is my 2852 find.
Thank you PollyMichele for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
Walked all around the place and was starting to think we might not get it when SirFancy checked a bit deeper and turned up the tube.

Joined in on the fun heading out into the Wheatbelt for some camping with caching friends.
Left early Saturday morning and managed to get up the hill and well on the road by the time the sun came up.
The goal for the first day was to pick up a couple of new LGA’s and meet up at Baladjie Rock to set up camp and grab the new cache there.
Sunday started a lot slower and after packing everything stopped once for a cache while getting home in time to spend the afternoon with the kids.
Fantastic couple of days away had me walking in the door with 27 finds, 16 adventure labs and 0 DNF’s.

I added my name to the log at 11:23 on 18/6/2022.

Out in the Wheatbelt for a night of camping at Baladjie Rock. Cleaned up a number of caches that I hadn’t grabbed on previous trips, ticked off two new LGAs that I have been through, but never grabbed caches at. Thanks to all the COs that place and maintain caches in this part of the world.
A neat spot, very appropriate for a cache. Thanks for taking me to this location. Cheers PollyMichele!

On a road trip around the wheatbelt areas of Western Australia for a few weeks. We are enjoying the many friendly towns along the way, whether staying in the CP’s or camping out. Thank you so much to the CO’s of every cache for placing them for our enjoyment. They certainly bring you to many spots that you might not stop at otherwise.
Searched for a bit, looked around for a bit and finally spotted something a bit out of place. Great little hiding spot. Happy that we looked for this one earlier in the day, as later, there was a caravan parked right next to gz

After a lot of searching it appears the cache is missing. I hope the CO doesn’t mind that we have replaced the cache so we could log our visit. Cache is now a bison tube. TFTC in an interesting location
While the interstate travel is still a bit iffy we decided to spend the time touring southern WA.
We are staying overnight in Westonia and after our BBQ dinner at the caravan park we went for a wlak through the town.
There was a caravan parked near GZ as this is the free camping area but he used to geocache so he knew what we were up to.
It didn't take too long to locate.
This was find number 1 for the day.

I spotted the original cache that has fallen to the depths of the neverlands - contacted the CO and replaced the cache with permission. Now magnetic
Cache has fallen from its hide and needs to be retrieved. Due to breaking my wrist I am unable to get to fix this cache I will endeavour to get BoofMuka to replace it.
We worked out where this one should be and a search with a torch revealed that it had fallen out of reach.
Pretty sure I knew it it was but I was unable to access it. I did find a large spider though. I will keep an eye on this one to determine if I was wrong or the host was jammed.
Quaint little church that we were lucky enough to see inside! Sadly it’s used mostly for storage these days however our guide told us that the town is going to start restoring it! TFTC PollyMichele
Didn't have plans to even come to Westonia but after free camping last night we took some dirt tracks to get to town and decided to stay the night after finding the caches and visiting the great Hood-Penn museum.
So nice to have some relaxing time and not drive the 600 - 800+km a day like we normally do when on holidays.
Great to see some more caches here since we last visited in Aug 2019 on our way back from QLD and NT.
I had an idea where cache might have been so while I followed my phone Mr dimor looked elsewhere but same 'idea' but I came up with the cache

After overnighting in Southern Cross due to a cracked turbo hose, headed out early this morning to grab a few caches en route before picking up a new hose in Merredin. Lovely country church here and made a quick find. Thanks Polly Michele
Thanks PollyMichele for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
Final day of our Holland Track adventure and we have left Coolgardie this morning after grabbing a few caches around town and made our way down great eastern Highway towards Perth.
We stopped in to Westonia along the way to cleanup these three caches and made quick finds on them all.

Not impressed. Went to car for a tool and hubby standing there with in hand. no gps or anything torched
I loved the fact that a house nearby was playing loud music... i stayed for INXS and John Lennon to finish... found the cache and carefully replaced! Interesting read about the pvc!
Found it. TFTC PollyMichele. Not a quick find but got it in the end . Nice historical church.
Heading home with axell33 after a week in Kalgoorlie and we thought we would try and get some of the caches that take us off the main drag. The town looks wonderful and I loved St Luke's, a beautiful little church. A quick find here. Thanks for placing your cache here and greetings from Baldivis.
Caching our way back home from Kalgoorlie we took a detour off the main road to grab a couple here that we didn’t have. We parked at gz and made a quick park and grab with this one. We signed your log and returned your cache back to where it hides. Cool little church favourite point coming up as soon as I get some. TFTC PollyMichele.
Out for a ride with Mrs Mavz on such a glorious day... ( Pity I dropped both of us, and the bike in soft sand at Bodallin Soak.. Glad there was someone on hand to help lift the 330kg bike )
Sausage sizzle at a bench in main street of Westonia, only to find a lovely park bench at this Geocache
Nice easy find, but sneaky little critter.. Good hide
