I would guess this is gone.
It was a really interesting way to GZ today though, glad I came! Also glad I wore gumboots because there was no track - it had turned into a decent creek!

A lovely walk which I'd never have discovered if not for the cache - it starts out looking far too much like private property. Did a pretty solid search of gz and based on logs pretty sure I had the right side, but no luck.
Dropped my pencil somewhere along the way. Despite being local, I’ve never been up this track! Good excuse to explore another side of Lyttelton. TFTC!
Couldn't find but then second attempt after lunch time cache and here it is! Yay! Thanks!
CO had picked me up for a couple of other caches and offered to take me to this one. Weather was a bit debatable and we got this found and I signed just in time really. The walls around here are very interesting, there has to be some history here. Back to the car and the hungry children, Albert and Albertine! You really need to feed them LW ! TFTH
As we are now in level 2 from 8th September geocaching is now permitted again
Disabled as we are in lockdown and geocaching is not a permitted activity during lockdown
A cheeky find to earn my last Solar System Wonder of the World. I had dropped Mrs R at an appointment, did a couple of other jobs on the way here... then took longer to find the cache than I should have. Late to pick her up by 10 minutes... gee I was lucky she was late finishing too!
As to the hunt, I was a bit quick to decide where to look. Should have waited for the compass needle to settle. For the next to hunt - the cache is not wrapped in a plastic bag, that would be dog poo. Someone went to the effort of picking it up, tying the bag, and then hiding it behind a rock in the wall rather than taking it with them. GRR! I wasn't keen on doing CITO in the case as I was in the other car, with no gloves or bags of my own. Hopefully someone will be better organised than me.

I'm off for a walk with Jude_E . Wow how awesome. This wall must be really old. Thank you lytteltonwitch for this cache.

A lovely saturday afternoon walk with MrsTG and Mr11. After completing the Around The Block adventure lab we walked up here and on to the track. Funny wee track with plenty of stonework. Soon netted the cache. Then a much easier walk back down the track and hill to the car way down at the bottom beside the port. Thanks.
We knew this track, having found the cache further along on a previous walk. We picked this up today on a few short walks around Lyttelton. Quickly found. TFTC!
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a lovely warm Sunday morning.
After finding that our chosen route to Peaceful View on the other side of the hill was barred by a locked gate and a closed track sign, we had to go for Plan B, which was this cache, and the one further up the track, which SW had previously found on a solo trip.
As the GPSr counted down, we spotted the stonewall on the left, but the needle was pointing right. While SW went left, I saw a geotrail heading to the right place, so followed it and then found another section of wall, hidden from sight. The cache was a quick find here. TFTC.

#19258. This turned out to be a good plan B when plan A didn't work as planned. We enjoyed a good track and a fair bit of shade on the way to this cache, and Troodles made a quick find. It was harder work getting to the next cache (not much shade, and a narrower track). TFTC.
We parked up on the Summit Road and walked via the gun emplacements to GZ. We weren't really looking forward to the climb back up but it wasn't so bad.
The cache was a quick find. I wonder why this wall and post is here. TFTC.

An enjoyable walk on a fine calm morning. There must be some history about the track and the stone walls. TFTC
Came this way for a morning walk. I didn’t even know this track existed until today so thank yo for bringing me here LW on this fine a frosty morning. Love the stone wall which must have been here for a long time by the look of it. TFTH
A lovely walk after lunch to this cache. Great views looking back. Thanks for this cache lytteltonwitch.
