After attending the Early Birds Event this morning, I headed off for a few hours caching in the northern suburbs.
My main targets were some previously solved puzzle caches and some multis. I also managed to complete the Adventure Lab cache at Thorndon Park Reservoir.
Thanks Bob From Elsewhere for the puzzle and the cache.

Needed a big nudge to get on the right track for solving this puzzle. For the intermediate step, and just for the record, I've been to five of those places. Maybe even a sixth, although I might have blinked. Thanks for the puzzle and cache BFE, and congratulations for your nomination in the 3+ Star Difficulty category!
I had almost all of March away from caching to concentrate on the Garden. Time to get back to working towards my goals for the year. Also Time to get back into the regular Wednesday Wandering again. [^] Today myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out on a BFE rampage. Last puzzle meeting night we had worked on all the new BFE puzzles and decided it was high time to go and find them all - and his multi caches, trads and even the lab cache series. The other two having already found some whilst I was in the garden completed all that was required to get the Rat to TBFEN. Unfortunately we didn't have time to revisit 3 so I could get there and an early DNF on a BFE meant that would be impossible anyway. I ended up with 3 DNF's today - so much for goal number 3!
Well this puzzle took a while to sort through and although allyl the steps had been seen individually before putting them altogether was quite the nightmare. Luckily it was solved on a regular pizza and puzzle night and just sat waiting for me to get here. FP was earned here just from the puzzle. [:X]
Arriving at GZ I looked around and had no deja vu at all. It was all up to me. The GPS took me to a likely spot where there were a lot of decisions to be made. I decided to try them all and after feeling my down and around the corner I had come up with nada, nothing not a thing. Look at the GPS to see how far out I was and there in the background I could see a little something unusual. There is was. The caching gods were still with me. [^] On I walked to the next one meeting the others part way who had parked and walked back to meet me.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Bob From Elsewhere for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

It hard been a while since I’d been to town and probably longer longer since I’d solved a Bob puzzle so my Bob thinking needed a bit of a nudge and certainly a nice puzzle once I understood what was happening in a mystery multi sort of way.
At GZ the coast was clear and a quick find and sign. TFTC

OMG, it is amazing ghow out of practicew you get when you are not doing something for a while, and that also applies to BFE puzzles. Step one was easy due to a comment that the inimitable BFE made to me a long time ago. Then the numbers looked familiar but there I got stumped. Once again, a random comment when chatting to BFE raaised the DOH moment with a headslap, and after a bit of work, a set of coordinates revealed itself and the checker liked my numbers. So, into the TBF queue till the right moment.
This morning was decision time and a decision was made to make a small detour on the way to the office and make a find. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ and after standing for a few seconds and surveying the area decided where to look and discovered a cacxhe in the first place investigated. Gotta love that. Stamped the log and replaced all as found.
Well, decision time proved to be quite fruitful and another great start to the day.

I am currently on my L-plates and wanted to get some hours up. Today was a perfect day for a big 6h drive mainly on the North Eastern side of the city. Lots of opportunities for parking practise, reversing, u-turns and finding a few of those mystery caches that my dad had solved throughout the year but never collected. Total tally was 18 caches visited and 18 caches found. Most caches were stamped with my dad’s stamp but when there was a pencil available he also added my name.
Thank you to all Cache owners

Cache #10 and #11 allowed us to stretch the legs for a moment and do a short loop around the o-bahn tracks. Both caches were quickly discovered in typical Bob locations.
As far as the puzzle was concerned, naturally I made all the wrong decisions and it took about 40 tries to find the correct one!

Decision's decision's. A Decision to get help in trying to understand the mind of the great BFE. The Adder is still none the wiser, he is still trying to graduate from the puzzle pre school. Thankyou for the cache BFE found 23 December 2020 14:56
Managed to get a tick for this one eventually... using some Bob staples, some nudges, and some gwiat.
Stopped by for a quick find in the 1st obvious spot.

Got to GZ and made my decision. It almost wasn’t the right one for a moment as my finger decided once it was it it didn’t want to come back out easily. With a bit of wriggling and scraping I can say that my finger still belongs to me. Note to self: Make better decisions.
Thanks for the cache Bob From Elsewhere.

Out for drive with the Crazy Geo driver.

The decision was made to find this puzzling cache.
A quick find for us today. In a true BFE styled hide.

Sometimes you have to make one. I find it difficult at times and need to work on that skill. You'd think I would have this one figured by now. And it's not the puzzle I'm talking about. Anyhow the decision to find this was good and made by fingers do the walking in the end.
Thanks to Bob From Elsewhere and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Found It!
I automated this one. Kudos to anyone who does those 1000+ conversions by hand. Although in hindsight it might be less than 1000 if I had paid attention to the language settings. Then a nice little walk to GZ today and a quick find!

Today with my event in modury, it seemed fitting to go and do a loop around the area on foot to collect some BFE puzzles and the odd other cache along the way. About 8km walked and 30 caches found along the way. All caches found are in good condition.
Thanks for the cache

At the previous night's Puzzled Puzzler night Owl was actually able to contribute a number of successful solutions (much to the surprise of the rest of the gang). She even worked out the final couple of steps of a BFE puzzle (much to her own surprise). Today she decided to take a break from cleaning and writing and find a cache. She almost missed it (to no one's surprise) due to muggle interference but the decision to check a Bob-like hiding place paid off. Bronze to the flying one.
A month ago BFE published this cache. Oh dear. Bob is back. There was another meeting of Victims of BFE. We started a twelve step plan. The plan was extended to 144 steps. More steps were required. Ben created some Benware. Version 1 is in beta test mode and a solution drops out. Oh Bob!
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which was actually first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age. Silver to the frog nation.

He’s back!
An absolutely classic BFE puzzle.
A mix of old favourites with a bit of a new twist.
“Multi step, multi stage puzzle”. The phrase which sends shivers down the collective spines of the Victims of BFE support group.
As usual knight’s move thinking may be helpful.
And of course previously having solved a couple of hundred BFE puzzles wont hurt either.
As is the ability to make leaps of faith along the way.
You can keep your history lookups, your library image numbers, and your single stage logical puzzles. Give me the classic BFE every time
Of course *Cache_or_Check* wont like it.
But it gets an FP from us.
