Bloody nano, burn down the nano factory Travelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Sol's day the twentieth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Great hiding spot! The log probably needs a bit of a refresh but weve put in a little stick to help roll it up nicely. TFTC!
TFTC! 27 July 2024 4:30:01PM 8269 thanks to MKSAFamily for the cache! great to revenge an DNF from a few years ago! The light rain has the park empty so we could look undisrupted!
TwoEms went a little out of bounds before curving back to the correct terrain rating. We thought, kind of a hole-in-one, and then, sort of a tee. Its still got that artificial golf plains vibe around here.It is remarkable how quickly our species can transform a landscape into whatever we wantit almost seems perverse. What did this place look like before a hundred years ago? We didnt spy the homestead, but we will make a point to look for it when we come back to find the golf ball. Thank you for the cache.
21:29Caching my way through Templestowe and Doncaster after a late start... parking here, would I go left or right first?Left.A sneaky hide in the most logical place, MKSAFamily.#8881---This was not the direction I'd intended to go today, but hey, sometimes opportunities fall through. So when I got up at stupid o'clock to a message that my ride was unavailable, I went back to bed.A fine day of adventuring with my overseas friends ensued. When I finally decided I should probably get out and find a few caches, I discovered that in preparing for an early start, some fool had flattened the car battery by leaving an interior light on. No problem, I thought, I'll just grab the spare car. Except that it has a flat tyre... and a flat battery...By the time I had put enough charge into my car, it was dark. Same old same old, really.
Found it. Checked the hint and was easy to find. Might need to change the paper, looks a little mouldy. Thanks for the hide
Found 17:30Catching up with friends in town, this was a good halfway point for the kids to have some fun and also.introduxe our friends to caching.Bit of searching and check of the hint to find this one!!TFTC
No muggles in this beautiful area due to the inclement weather. Never knew this newish verdant place existed. Teeny cache seems to be a little vulnerable to accidental damage. Neat container and placement though. TFTC
Found by caughtatwork on 08/10/2023 at 3:27:00 PMA quick find out here today.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
TFTC!
Good spot to spend a little quiet time. Not too many muggles, particularly at this time of the year.

No luck with this cache. We came here twice for a good 20 minutes and still couldn’t find it.
Did some un needed back braking bends to try and find this one. It was right under our fingertips the whole time hahaha! Thanks MKSAFamily.
After diverting to pick something up on my way home I stopped and grabbed this cache. Managed to grab it with our being detected.
Thanks MKSAFamily for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Had to come back the second time as it was dark the first time. Last time I was on the wrong side of the bridge east once you find the correct side ahah
We weren't quite sure what to expect in this area as one map shows this area very much as a golf course, but I did promise the geokids that if we saw a playgorund we could go there. As we approached GZ we spied something big and green. The geokids used the logic that the quickest way to your heart's desire is via a straight line and could not be convinced to use to path to get to it until they saw that there was no way through. As Arachnauts and I searched GZ I could hear my two geobrats yelling gleefully at each other about the giant slides. Thank you so much for bringing us to this place. We will definitely be back. TFTC
Here with TeamUs! - Quick find while the geokids enjoyed the playground. Thanks for bringing us here & TFTC!0
I had a few hours to fill in between attending an appointment in Bulleen and starting my afternoon work shift in Heidelberg, so I took the opportunity to do some geocaching.
This is an interesting little piece of parkland. I hope that it encourages the residents to exercise in their neighbourhood. The cache was found after I thought about where I would place a cache.
Thank you MKSAFamily for this cache.

Found with CMDYork. Previously tried to collect this cache but a number of muggles were guarding it. TFTC!
A nice easy one. It would be interesting to know where the holes were here. Thanks MKSAfamily

Another day out caching with Omegaman1971, today we were heading to the international ice cream day event so we did a few caches on route.
This is one of the caches found today.

What a day!
International icecream day and some caching with my buddy Rebel Acts.
The only downside is the weather, looks like it's going to rain.
Found after a short pleasent walk.

Found with icw. With the large slide in the gully proving to be a muggle-magnet I found the cache in the first place I looked. Tftc.
In a great walk around with after a pleasant latte at Macedon Square quickly moved on to find this on the old EGC site. TFTC
DNF , just not my day . GPS was jumpy, search all possible area low. Nothing. Oh well ! Jus another bad day for geocaching
I had been in Kew for the morning and thought I would stop for a cache... or three... on way way home. It didn't take long to zero in on this cache and get the log signed.
Thanks **MKSAFamily** for the cache.

Eagle eyed 8yo found it on the second go! We were asked if we had lost something by someone passing by!
With no muggles around and daylight to search it was a short search after putting my hand in the right place

TFTC. Had several ideas on where this could be but wasn't able to find, unfortunately.
Being only about 2 km from home I had left this cache for a day when I didn't have much time to find my daily cache and also take Jake geobeagle for walkies. Today was that day because some friends had come to our place for lunch and having not seen each other for ages because of all the Covid lockdowns they didn't leave until after 6:00 pm.
I must confess that I had been to GZ a couple of times previously. The first time was not long after the cache was published but there were muggles on the nearby exercise equipment so I gave it a miss. The next time was before Christmas after I had found the CO's other nearby cache. I had located the cache in its hiding spot once my GPSr settled, which took quite a while. So knowing where the cache was hidden it was a quick find today at 7:30 pm. TNLN. I used hand sanitiser before and after finding the cache.
Thanks MKSAFamily for this well-hidden cache and for showing us this lovely area where we will now bring Jake for walkies. I remember being upset when I noticed the Eastern Golf Club being developed into a housing estate. However, it's great that the entire area hasn't had houses built on it, unlike other housing estates, and that lots of land has been left for recreational use and playgrounds.

Took us a while. GPSrs were all over the place. We took a rest, it’s a hot day anyway and read logs to no avail.
About to walk away and it was that “one last look” and that time the satellites pointed to a logical spot and Mr Riddell stuck his fingers in some cobwebs that Mrs Riddell quickly avoided previously and bingo!
So we are happy campers.
After the story of this estate we were actually quite impressed with the layout and use of most of the significant vegetation which had been retained due to the former golf course.
TFTC now for the golf ball.. maybe we can roll! Ha ha

Cheers, Geokids found that a bit easier than the nearby Golf Ball cache. Thanks for the excuse to find a few playgrounds!
My geosenses have failed me today wasn’t able to find this or the golf ball nearby. On the plus side, what a great area! Haven’t been in the area since the redevelopment so it was interesting to see all the new houses and playgrounds.
I found this cache today on my Doncaster to Heidelberg Geocaching Morning. Completing the pigeon pair in this area. The morning temperature out here is just beautiful. Thanks from D B-A
This is quite an incredible place. It’s like a holiday resort in the middle of suburbia.
Sadly the recent storms seem to have taken care of many of the original trees. The area as a whole though is really nice. Lots of exercise equipment, a playground and a really good cafe.
Fortunately not too busy at this particular play ground today. We found it without too much trouble.
Thanks MKSAFamily for placing and maintaining this cache.

Quick find driving hone from work (novel concept). I remember when this was a golf course. Thanks.
DNF @ 11:20 with Annoying Tarbit
After many virtual puzzle solving evenings over lockdown Annoying Tarbit and I have solved lots of puzzles in various places around the state. With the travel restriction boundary still being 15kms from home, and with both of us being fully vaxed, we decided to meet up for some exercise... and ignore all the caches that we'd solved and hit some others that were in our overlap area.
This was the second one that we tried today, but the first one that I'm logging - because we went back to the car via the first DNF and found it. Today might not have been the ideal time to have a try for this cache as there were so many muggles around taking advantage of the relaxed restrictions. We had a look around, probably spent more time here than if I was by myself, but still couldn't locate it. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Thanks anyway MKSAFamily

Last time I came past there were muggles using the equipment. Today there were plenty on the playground but none too close so I was able to search in peace.

Where were playgrounds like this when I was young? Gee I feel old!
I’m so glad that many of the trees were saved during the building of this subdivision. It’s a lovely area to stroll around. A bit short on time today but I’ll be back to continue my walk one day. Thanks for bringing me here.
