WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 58 - Swan Valley Perth Day 3. After two days of local area caching, I headed further afield to try and cross off some more counties. It seems I just missed one while I was in Fremantle, so back I go to East Fremantle, Mosman Park and Cottesloe. It was a fanatically sunny clear day and very park and beach side spot was busy with people waling and seeing the sights. I started with some tough caches, struggled to find lunch rather than caches and did a few labs late in the afternoon. It was a much longer day and I gave the fourth county a skip for another day. Home for a van cooked meal before heading into the city on the train tomorrow.I walked up the hill, enjoying the view as I went and from the top of the hill. I was looking about and saw a likely object. Everything was fine here today. Thanks for the cache Gumnut616048003.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & October 2020 Witches of Halloween A#430**Albida**
Cache still at location but will need further maintenance soon. I will wait to be notified by further logs.Log replaced.
Looked through the recently trimmed bushes without luck. Read previous logs about a clever hide and something about a cache being dry and about getting into it to find the log. Spotted a potential host at GZ and took it apart. Nothing there. Oh well.
A wet day but at least it keeps the muggle away so had the whole place to myself. Nice view and once at the right level made a quick find of the neat hide variation so favourite point. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Found it after a few mins.. didn’t have a pen so we’ll send a pic to the owners for proof of find
Wow what a great view. A fav for the vista and for the cache set up..took me a little while to work it out but all good here..cache and log in excellent condition tftc
Wow! This was pretty cool .we saw something suspicious and we found it! Thanks again Gumnut
Smart hiding spot. Had to make sure no one was around before hopping down. Cap was hard to remove but good thing I had someone strong to help. TFTC!
Found it immediately but wasn’t certain as it’s quite hard to open, looks almost like it’s meant to be there . Thanks for the cache
Found it. TFTC Gumnut6160. Come to this area for a walk. Just had to stop at a few caches to get a smiley. Happy to make a find here, replaced as found.
Taking advantage of a dry morning! First time at this lovely spot, found cache, all in good order. TFTC and a FP for bringing me here.
Loved this little find. Here by accident with torbaylaurelwood. Found the right spot straight away but thought we were wrong. Eventually came back and tried again. Clever design! TFTC
Easy one! TFTF 'its just a passing shower' mum said. Quite a rainy day and it wasn't just a passing shower. Drizzled all the way there! Nice hiding spot and views.
Thanks for taking us to Thai scenic view. We took a moment to enjoy the views before we started the search for the cache. Once we spotted a likely host it took a bit to get the lid off to get to the log. fav point added
A quick find without bush bashing. Nice design.

Out for a ride in the Mosman Park area along the river to tackle a bunch of caches today. Fantastic view and a great hide too TFTC
Went out to Mosman Park on a fine Sunday to tackle some of the green dots that had built up on my map.
A very clever and well executed cache… and what a ripper view! Gets a favourite from me! Cheers Gumnut6160!

One of my favourite spots from before I became as geocacher. Saw a geocache on the map and saw a good opportunity for another visit. Loved the ingenuity of this cache and had fun retrieving it. Lovely still morning to watch the weather come and go from this location. TFTC
Thought we would be out of luck here at first as gardeners have heavily pruned the area today. As it turns out the cache is hidden safe and well. Brilliant!
Fun morning out around Mosman Park and Cottesloe hunting caches. Found 14 all up with my youngest. Started at 6:30am and back home by 10:30am.
Fun hide, have a fav point. TFTC

After first spotting the cache had an 'Oh no' moment thinking I should have bought water with me. Fortunately a closer inspection proved otherwise and cache was soon retrieved, signed and replaced. TFTC
Something looked out of place here. Took a closer inspection with Baxter & Co. Tfth!
Catching up on some missing online logs.
After finding the new cache nearby the Better Half and I came down to find this one. It took a while to get the lid off this cache but eventually did so. Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks Gumnut6160 for placing this cache for us to find.

Out on our bikes this morning picking up quite a few geocaches along the river front here!
After riding up the spirally hill to GZ, we spotted the container for the geocache. However, whoever was here last didn't put it on properly, so we had much difficulty getting it off. Luckily, geo-son was creative and used the top of my phone to push the lid off with all his strength! We then were able to retrieve the cache, sign the logbook, and ensure the lid was put on properly!!
Thanks for the cache!

Grabbed after making our way up the hill.

Joined up with I C Northing, Kapelula & Meme28 for a day out caching. The plan originated with the idea to head up to Whiteman Park and try and clear the area of unfound caches. Over coffee this morning the plan changed a little as the idea of a hot day out with little chance of breeze had us looking a bit closer to the city.
Getting into the car with no real destination it was suggested heading to grab some duck caches and see where the day led us. And boy what a day it was, we ended up caching all around the river from Applecross into Fremantle, through Mosman Park before finishing up near Mt Henry Bridge.
At the end of the day I finished with 41 finds, 0 DNF’s & 1 didn’t look for. Ticked off some older caches, got some rarer attributes added to the tally and picked up a first to find.

Thanks Gumnut6160 for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2696 for me.

After a bit of a hike to the top and an awesome view we soon had the cache in hand! Found whilst out on a caching day with I C Nothing, Meme28 and Cirrus_WA. TFTC!
Out for a day caching with Kapelula, Meme28 and Cirrus_WA hunting ducks and anything else that takes our fancy. Another nice hide that we all enjoyed finding.
Find 5 of 19 with 2 DNFs on a mountain bike ride around Mosman Park and Cottesloe on a perfect springtime sunny day.
Good job, happily spotted immediately. A neat mechanism, like it.
TFTC Gumnut6160!

Whoops.
Long time forgetting to log. I got permission to log along while ago after I rode up the hill and couldn’t get the cap off. Nice camo here. Thanks.

We spent a beautiful afternoon wandering along the Minim Cove walkway. Thank you for bringing us out this afternoon.
Spot's family history has its roots right here so brilliant to come over here to do some caching. Certainly one of the best that we've ever come across. Heather Bear found it and all in excellent shape. Thanks for conjuring up another ripper. FP again.
Really enjoyed caching at Mosman Park this morning. Great views of the river. Well constructed caches. This was the first find. Took a while to work out how to extract the bison tube. Thanks Gumnuts6160.
Just happen to be in this area unexpectedly check app and saw this one so quick stop but a slow walk up the steps after a small search i spoted something that brought a smile to me nice view up here.TFTH SL. Fav
Well done, that's a good one. Had to get PP1 to give me a piggy back up there but I did manage the descent on my own. TFTC Gumnut6160
Nice work out I had to hold back the ‘Rocky’ in me from calling out ‘Adrian’ from the top! Nice camo - thanks for placing this and adding a smiley to my day
