EN : After our day walking to Lower Tama Lake and Hupper Tama Lake, we returned to our accommodation. As it is not late, we decide to come and look for these caches. One of them will not be found. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Our Travel Bugs pass through this cache but do not come out of our backpack; they continue the adventure with us. Trip to New Zealand decided very quickly , but that did not stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 is, of course, at the top of this list! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country.FR : Aprs notre journe marcher vers les lacs Lower Tama Lake et Hupper Tama Lake, nous avons rejoint notre logement. After many, many hours of flying, a passage through China on the way there and through the United States of America on the way back, we will finally arrive in Christchurch which will be the starting point of our journey. We will enjoy the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and we will go back towards the North Island via State Highway 1. To combine business with pleasure, we will take regular breaks and small detours according to the caches that seem the most accessible to us.With a little more than 3500 km in 20 days, we will have discovered many facets of this island which is soothing. We will have to come back because there are so many places that we have not done . In broad strokes, the path will go from Christchurch to the Kaikoura Peninsula then towards Picton for the crossing to Wellington.New island, new road, and by State Highway 2 we go towards Hastings and Napier. We will leave the seaside for several days to go to Tongariro and Taupo. We will continue north towards Rotorua and Hamilton (without forgetting a detour via Hobbiton ) A detour to the Coromandel Peninsula and finally the almost north of the island with Whangarei and Waitangi to learn the history of this country. There will only be a few days left to spend towards Auckland and its suburbs before taking the plane back to the grayness of our European autumn. The majority of the boxes will be found, we have abandoned those where our English was lacking and where we could not understand the clue. Thanks to all the owners who brightened up our path, who took us to incredible places (that's also geocaching)In short, we had a great vacation, saw beautiful places that simply ask us to come back. We learned a lot about the history of this country and its traditions, it's a great motivation for our destinations.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Petit log en retard mais un peu plus complet maintenant que nous sommes rentrs la maison. We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old )caches. There are too many caches so we limit ourselves to the (old) gems or where we happen to make a stop. We found and signed this cache in good condition. NPSLearners, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
Pak u byl as popojet zase dl. A njak prochzky urit taky zvldnu. A tak jsem tu konen potkala opravdov Maory s potetovanmi oblieji a ne nkde u turist ale normln v supermarketu. It was a beautiful sunny day from the morning. I found some drive-in caches in the village of National Park and drove back to Torangiro National Park. I went to see the lava mounds and Tawhei Falls and collected caches that were left after yesterday's visit. Especially the ones on Bruce Road towards Ruapah Mountain. Then it was time to move to Lake Taupo, where I will have a base for the next few days. On the way, I collected some caches and enjoyed the landscape. Thanks to everyone for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
Today our trip through New Zealand takes us to the National Park. Due to circumstances, the route did not go as expected and we missed many geocaches. But luckily we came across a lot of them here. Thank you very much to CO for making it possible to do our shared hobby here. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Out for a central north island mission with Reschedule. Circling around Ruapehu today. Find 31 of the day.TFTC
Left our Basecamp of Rotorua to explore the cacheline around Ruapehu and the central north with Kre8ive, stunner of a day! TFTC! #31 for today.
**Log about this cache:**After we did some shopping it starts to clear up again.I made a walk around the village to do some geocachingA quick find, a sad story Roy Turner, good that he will be remember as a good person, it`s a lost for the village!**General log:**After years of planning and the canceling of trip due to the corona crisis, the time had finally come:***"more than 5 weeks in New Zealand".***And how beautiful it was!Visited both the north and south islands, many tourist attractions have a cache nearby so I could do some as well.Lots of virtuals and earth caches too and traditionals. But also done a few multi caches here and there also even a mystery and wherigo cache. The trip to New Zealand was great and we saw a lot of nice places. The country has so many different types of landscapes. And the nice thing was that it is winter in the Netherlands but summer in New Zealand Too bad it takes so long to fly and that the flight is so expensive otherwise i can go here next year again. Now you can enjoy it, logging the caches is also part of it. I will try to email the answers for the earthcaches and virtual caches to the relevant co`s as soon as possible. But first log all caches and upload the photos .Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching
(# 8662) As it is a long weekend in Wellington I took a caching jaunt up to the Waikato and Bay of Plenty with TwigNZ, NZ_B and Itchyfeet2020. Stayed in Tokoroa which was the centre of the caching universe for this weekend. Today we are heading back home to Wellington. Stopped off in National Park. I love the idea of using caching for education.Logs were either signed MINT (being our initials) or Mr-Mcgoo.Thanks Beauty & The Beast for bringing me here.
Team MINT (Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B & TwigNZ) were up in the central north exploring, targeting oldies and fun caches. Today, Wellington Anniversary is the day for heading home with the McGoo Machine and Twig-a-nator, choosing the western side of the lake. It's a hot day, but caching does not stop for anyone. We really enjoyed this series of caches. I read the info on each page at the site and enjoyed the finds, that you to the organizer and all the kids in helping to maintain them.
Another memory here of weekend school ski trips certainly hiring gear from Turners and possibly the accomodation site was his also . A real shock just a few years after that when his family were sadly lost . Thanks
Nice to hear about a well remembered fellow of the community and sorry to learn about his tragic end. Thx for hiding.
While waiting that the weather gets better to do the Tongariro crossing, I discovered this cache series! No problems to find the cache and its in perfect condition!TFTCChaosCacheCrew CCC
The second cache on my mission to keep me entertained. I appreciate the opportunity to learn a few things about the region as well. TFTC!
#5.725The logbook is still a bit damp and rips when you pull it out. But we hope it can dry off even more over the next days and by that makes it possible for us to do the hikes around this area as well.TFTC says team mastba from Hamburg/Germany
We arrived here to do the crossing tomorrow. Good moment to pick up these caches. The log was soaking wet so it needs to be changed.

Stayed the night in my van at Whakapapa Village, just done some cache maintenance on Mnt Ruapehu, later I will place a few caches today. It's warm as but raining on Ruapehu, oh dear but not while I'm in National Park at the moment. I got 4 caches here today by this C.O, then I headed south, thanks for the cache.
The complete month march I am travelling on both Islands. Christchurch heading south, next the westcoast.
AbelTasman-Wellington-Rotorua-Hahei and finally Auckland.

Roy Turner has left a great legacy - so nice that he and his family are remembered and honoured in this way. Cache is all good. TFTC
Traveling around New Zealand we are stopping here to do some hiking. Walking around this town we are staying in a hotel, I came across a cache traile. I found most of them. Tftc
If I were Roy Turner, I would posthumously complain to the community for having a dead end dedicated to me. That's more of an insult than an honor!
Go National Park School - gradually finding your caches as we come through!! All good at GZ found with Piwaka54. TFTC
Two adventurous Canadians found this wonderful geocache on a beautiful day in New Zealand! Off to explore the park today!
Found by Blenheim Bear, on a a work trip to look at lots of bridges on nearby farms. Stayed at the Kiwi Campsite and did a few evening walks to pick up the geocaches, all good today. TFTC. BB
Unfortunately this one had been thrown through a fence into a bush out of arms reach. Managed to find a long stick retrieve. Put back as hint indicates
Interesting to hear the story of Roy Turner and how he helped to set up the ski field at Whakapapa. He is still fondly remembered by the National Park community by this account. Found with Kauriforest. TFTC
Having a day trip down to the mountain today, and stopped by a few caches after a fab pub lunch. A nice easy one to add to the numbers. TFTC.
Splashing my way to GZ (should have changed into gumboots), found the cache and carefully made sure the lid was on tight and it was standing upright. You might like to check it after all this wet weather. T4tc
