This is a very clever cache. Took a little time but we managed to lift it up and reveal it.
Found on the spring equinox. As previously mentioned, this cache is now readily accessible. tftc
We almost gave up and were walking back to the car, then we found the comments and knew we were in the right spot. Great cache. So fun. Many people have left messages. My son left a quote. Enjoy.
Tricky little spot to find, wonder what the house prices are in this neck of the woods.Camo was on very tight but had something in the car to loosen it, much bigger than I thought it would be, but that's what my girlfriend says too. Signed and left loose but not conspicuous. TFTCIronbark
Logging this as found although I couldn't get at the cache because the cap is hard on the post but I have definitely found it. A false nut micro cache would be better for this location. There's no way to access the cache without tools.
As someone said, I heard the cache while ratteling the pole...but how to open the lid?? Unsuccesfull here
Thanks. It was pretty hard to find and when we figures out where it was it was really hard to get the lid of but I think it was really good
Sadly didnt find it, although am sure we found the spot where it was from other messages.
Hey, we checked every pole, lifting up yellow plastics covers on poles as per other messages/hints then found a rock with a hole in it, great hiding spot but nothing inside. I think its the rock down by the creek but is no longer there.
On our way up to South East Queensland for a week long trip, grabbing geocaches along the way of course, as well as adventure labbing wherever possible. Today we drove from Port Macquarie to the Gold Coast with near perfect driving weather, only a couple drops of rain here and there.Quick stop here, found a few of this hiding style before so was right onto it.Thanks for the cache
No collecting No fishing No dogs No JetSkisI didnt break any of the rules just found, logged and returned this very clever cache.TFTC
2nd time lucky! We tried and looked first time. No luck. Returned 10 minutes later. Bingo. Here with kiwisteve2, drobbonz and olliedogoz. We are spending the weekend in Alstonville visiting the local highlights before heading further North.Tftc
Planning to come back for this one, got side tracked by an empty bottle near the water and a string attached to nothing in a tree, got too dark
Well found. The daughter had the right idea. Well done. Quiet place. Thanks for the cache
Thank you we loved it!Really cool place to put it! Nice thing to do on our vacation
Hurray! Looked for this one last year but couldnt find it. Back in Byron again a year later. Rainy day. Time to geocache! TFTC.
We had a great search all 5 of as but affter 20mins we gave up. We looked in all possible spots but had no luck.
Up staying in Ballina for a few days to attending a funeral. We had a day to ourselves so decided to head up to Byron Bay via Lennox Heads - Great day discovering some interesting places, as well as a ride on a train in Byron! After some a fun little ride into Bryon for some lunch and back again we drove out to this one. A very familiar hide was soon spotted (I have a a similar one) A nice spot here. TFTC!
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there. Thanks MattyRx for the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable
What a great little spot. As we sat signing the logbook, there were a few fish jumping around. Thanks for the Cache and cheers from Browngang
Amazing geocache! a great little find, not as many ants as previous cachers. TFTC
We arrived at GZ for a look around. After checking out all the likely spots, Mr Herbz decided on one particular place that was most probable. He gave it a little wiggle and heard something suspicious. He then went to the car and got out a useful tool and his hunch was proved correct. TFTC MattyRx.
What a great cache in a lovely location with drool worthy houses along the way

Out for the day with Peppa and this time I had a plan. With this current Wheel of Challenges still in progress, I thought it would be great to grab most of the caches needed for this challenge as well as another LGA I don't have in this area.
Driving down the motorway, we played I-Spy and caught up on the latest gossip.
Making our way to GZ was bedazzled by the homes along this road...
Checked a few places and realised where the cache was. Peppa did the retrieval.
With log signed, cache returned.
Oh for a fishing rod!!

A play day with Patrol14 and she suggested Byron Bay to help with the current GC Wheel of Challenges Icon Hunt… suits me, a little further south and I venture into fresh LGAs… and these days it’s all about the LGAs…
Having left Brisbane well before a decent hour we played I-Spy down the M1 while discussing a plethora of current issues…
We then cached from Brunswick Heads south to Evans Head enjoying a great day out…
I was concerned Patrol14 would disappear down the beach if she became aware of what’s just over there… I on the other hand kept was consumed with the hunt for a Hemsworth…
Thanks MattyRx
A really nice example of this type of hide…

A quick diversion while on a morning tea break with a rellie about 120 m up the road. Once at GZ, I soon spotted a tell-tale item that had me signing the log not long afterwards at 11:50.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks MattyRx.

While wiggling the pole to try release the cache (very tight) it released a load of ants instead. Could hear the cache but couldnt write on it as didn't want to stick around to see of those ants bite
Ants have officially moved in downstairs Nice shady detour from the beach. Found today with 21 gizmo
Driving from Brisbane home to Wollongong, we came into Byron for lunch... But first, a cache!
Cheers
