Second find today, first of the traditional caches for us after having found the multi prior. Very quiet on the track today!
Merging my accounts. Found this as "Ambers007" on 12/10/2022. Now tracking together with "Hoterini" and merging the old finds.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 3 of our Matariki 2024 West Coast trip. Today we are driving up the coast to Punakaiki then onto Charleston on a beautiful sunny day. This cache was found on our way back to Greymouth.Wow, another Alphabet Jumble found today. Sadly we DNFed a couple yesterday (L & U), then there is the Mahinapua Mailbox which I have still not been game enough to return to, after my two broken arms when attempting it a few years back. Maybe one day!Cache was a quick find, log book in great condition inside 3 "Matryoshka dolls". Had to forgo sitting on the seat as we wanted to finish the walk before sunset. TFTC.
#23989. After struggling with the multis, it was good to have a quick find here (especially as it was already getting gloomy in well shaded parts of the track). TFTC.
We have just finished a four day walk doing the Paparoa track and we are then greeted with all these cache's. It is important that we clean them up. This one had us for a while and we looked around a bit. Then came back to the original area and looked better to come up with the goods
Found during our nice walk. Thanks for leading to this beautiful spot. Greetings from Germany.
Trouve Last day on the Paparoa track. This part of the walk is busier than the rest haha I didnt expect that much muggles around today m. Tftc
Visiting the South Island from Ottawa, Canada, and getting some caches along the way. So beautiful! TFTC
One of our favorite trails. Magical valley with all the Nikau palms. TFTC

Loved this set of caches as we walked up to the swing bridge. Thanks Gracie7&mum for always keeping your caches maintained and making them fun to find, with good clues. Although that seat Picture was somewhat Problematic!
I am with Muggle on a three and half week trip to NZ. Nothing serious, just the well trodden track every NZ tourist does who is coming from the other side of the world and has not the chance to come here more often. North Island is done, Auckland Coromandel, Rotorua and Wellington touched. Now we arrived in Picton and transfered to Motueka. Idea was to do a day trip into Abel Tasman NP. Now we are in Punakaiki. Last time I was here (20 years ago) we only got off the bus to look for pancakes about 20 minutes. This time it is a 2 nights stay. Hydrangeas gave us shelter. The 12 km round trip up this gorge , Pack Track of the hill and down the other gorge was a pick better than I expected. The views on the landscape are tremendous and the path in perfect shape much to the joy of muggle. The cache hid longer from me than intended. I missed the spoiler picture initially. GPS and foliage can be very tricky here. I almost gave up. But in the end muggle persisted on a find. A happy end for anyone.Thx for hiding.
Quick find out caching with my nephew and niece from New Jersey USA, whilst travelling together for a week after a family wedding.Thank you for placing the cache. I have enjoyed my opportunity to cache on Te Waipounamu (South Island Aotearoa New Zealand). I acknowledge the Maori iwi of Waipounamu, the custodians of this beautiful land.
Today's road trip planned to go North of Runanga up to the Pororari River leaving Rapahoe for another day.Now it is time to do the string of Trads along the track. The GPS was all over the place but the hints were excellent.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.
This afternoon mr9 must be tired, after saying there is no way we walk 2 hours, I prefer kayaking, he kept complaining. He had no idea how hard kayaking could be... I stopped to watch a duck, then for the lookout. I went to grab the cache while he was eating some fruits and nuts, just 30 minutes after having had lunch. Hopefully things go better and the magic of the canyon operates just as the wilderness coastal trail did. Both container and logbook were in good condition.
Its Maintenance Month and today Mum has an afternoon Lions meeting in Westport so we combined this trip with maintenance checks on all of our caches out this way. We werent sure if we would be able to fit this walk in today as the forcast was looking grim but we made it here in plenty of time and decided to risk it. It took us 1hr walk from carpark to the 10th hide and 30mins return. This one was wet so we added a waterproof log and also an adiitional container for moisture protection. All good here again. Happy Caching
Thank you, found it even when I was quite confused with the Lookout, found myself looking on the right spot
Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!
We did this walk with our 4 kids and we all loved it! What a beautiful landscape with the rock faces and the river and the trees. We found all caches along the river, great addition to the walk
Thanks for placing and actively maintaining these!

Back in Germany, I now want to log my finds in this beautiful country. Thanks to the owners for their work and care. With some cans remains of course also a favorite point.
Found on our hike today to the suspension bridges.

Walked 10 minutes beyond the lookout here on a fine sunny afternoon.
Didn't see a weka but a family of goats was not far from the car park.

This was the first cache for us today. We needed some time to get a little bit used.to caching in the rain forest. But then we had a lot of fun Thanks for the cache!
Before dinner I walked a little bit along the river and looked for some caches. Near the lookout I found the #2 on my way.
Thanks for hidding.

Today we visited the Pancake Rocks, hiked the Pororari Punakaiki Loop and explored the Punakaiki Cavern. We enjoyed the time and are thankful for the placed geocaches.
Did the Punakaiki-Pororari-River-Track today. Really wonderful places. We enjoyed it al lot and found the caches quickly. Tftc!
Just after having hidden the box again, a Weka family passed. Were they also looking for the cache?

We were on the track today to check on a possible MIA cache and decided to add a few more before the rain started. So, we checked on this one on the way passed of course. The book is a little damp probably due to the missing bag so we added a new one and now alls good with the cache, onwards we go. Happy Caching
Relatively quick find with the clue, which was handy due to the iffy reception. TFTC.
#11,306. I am down in Punakaiki on a work trip. The weather this morning has been too wet to go outside so spent much of the day on the computer. But finally it cleared up later in the day. This trail is very close to where we are staying so we decided to go for a walk and do the multis along the path plus a couple of trads. We reached the "lookout" showing the view up the river. Love the scenery and native bush along this easy walking track. At GZ we checked under a few objects and finally spied the cache. We signed the logbook and returned the container where found. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.
Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
Spending the next wee while based in punakaiki as I landed a bit of work..
Found on the way back from the junction..had to read a few logs to get a help with this...I had checked gz on the way out but not well enough..tftc

Walking out to complete a wonderful four day walk on the Paparoa track. A good hint, neatly placed and the contents are in good condition. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for your placement.
A quick walk between the showers this afternoon and found the cache. I didn't have a pen with me, so couldn't sign the log. Tftc.
Decided to go for a walk up this track and turn around at the junction as we are going to ride a bit of the track tomorrow. A lovely track to walk. This was a nice quick find at gz. Thanks for the cache
This was a gorgeous track with the river beside us to get a few caches .Thanks gracie7 + Mum
I loved the walk to here and couldnt help but think I really need to bring my kayak down and paddle the river. We caught up with a kayaking legend at 12 mile who told me that you can paddle a long way up, definately worth a trip. Nice easy find. Thanks for bringing us here gracie7+Mum

We were keen to explore the start of the Paparoa trail after talking with one of the DOC workers at Punaikaiki. As we headed out to the swing bridge, we stopped to collect this cache which was quickly spotted. TFTC
Hmmm, a wee slip on the track on the way up that took a while (and a lot of mud over clothes) and onto the cache. I think the views are of the cliffs over the river, so we had a wee breather here. Cheers
Staying at the nearby motor camp for a couple of nights. Was a biggish night on the beach for NY but that didn’t stop us from going for a wander around this lovely track.

A nice and easy find on our way out after doing the Paparoa track. Thanks for placing the cache
Coming towards the end of my three-day, 55km tramp along the Pararoa Track and have now reached part of the 'original' Punakaiki end, I guess.
A welcome rest at the bench before looking for every conceivable flat rock. A bit of back-tracking required but then things became clearer.
Not a bad outlook at the lookout...certainly after the rain and mist of previous days.
Thanks

Found after doing the ad lab. Enjoying a lovely Nikau bush walk ţo cool down on this lovely sunny day.
Was on the final stages of the Paparoa Track walk so had to grab this one It took me a while to find The rock forming the ledge was a lot smaller than I had expected I guess I had been looking at too many big boulders over the past few days Many thanks for putting a cache up here It's well worth coming for the scenery even this short distance from the road
This one took a wee bit of hunting, I should have concentrated on where the GPS initially took me! thanks.
Ms_KR and I are on the west coast, to complete the PWGT GeoTour this weekend, with only 0 to go. Yahoo!! Another glorious day today, fine weather for most of the caching time but a little rain too. TIme to head home now.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Took a while to search all the options. After the seat I saw the point at last. Tftc
Awesome views! We kayaked up through the rapids earlier today. Saw there was a cache along the track and we had to come find it. This one took a little bit longer to find than I thought it would.
