Founded after grabbing the labcache nearby. The University Campus is really a very nice spot to spend some time on a Sunday afternoon.
An early morning (though somewhat unsuccessful) piece of puzzling around the lakes with some Bromance mates finished up with the 5 km St Lucia Parkrun. My recent four weeks holiday has hampered my fitness, but I am slowly making progress again, with a course PB this morning. OK, I have only ever run here one other time about a year and 10 kg ago!Afterwards, Seff and I took another wander around the campus looking for inspiration. I grabbed a coffee in Great Court, whilst Seff went to see if if there was Saturday morning access to the pitch drop experiment. There wasn't.Once done, I was keen to grab two other local caches. This was the last. We walked here from the last one, and having made the find, took the opportunity afforded by a chair and table to review our mornings effort, I think I completed the AL the last time I did a parkrun here about a year ago. All in good order here. Many thanks ZacPete#8,012
Brisbane Day 2: On The Other Side of the RiverTodays schedule was jammed packed with things to do, and of particular interest were the caches in South Brisbane, and U of QLD at Saint Lucia (which I learnt was pronounced as Lu-chee-ia and not Lu-see-ia) on the ferry. It was also river cruise day, making maximum use of the 50 cent fare trial period, and hopping on and off at all the various stops on the Central Brisbane area. Ended off the day at Kangaroo Point, and crossed the Story Bridge back into the CBF to end the day. Walked 37.5k steps today over 26.5 km, making for a very crazy day of geocaching. Thanks for all the caches across Brisbane - they all made my day in some way or another. This is the specific log for this cache: Solved the AL in good time but was slightly peeved to see that I had to backtrack a bit to get to the bonus. Well at least it isnt in searing heat (like I would have had to contend with back home). Also, there was a rugby match nearby to distract me, but sad to see that the home team was trailing by quite a bit. At least they scored a try while I was there - perhaps I brought them a bit of good luck. The cache was found in fairly short order at GZ, though it was at the last position I looked. Ah, such is my luck sometimes. TFTC!
We came here to see the Pitch Drop but couldn't gain access even though it was meant to be open today. But we enjoyed wandering around the arcade looking at the carvings.Needing a bathroom we found ourselves at the location of this adventure lab. I wasn't a huge fan of wandering through this place without a child as an excuse, but by obviously studying the bits needed for the AL we just looked like ordinary people checking out the cleverness of the park. Nelson was suffocating beneath a bag but a quick google had the needed response for that part. Not being able to find Nelson had us reading all the quotes which was an unexpected and great find. Having all the information needed to find this cache, we moved on and made a quick find. Thanks
Thanks for the Adventure Lab and bonus cache. Found with NTM on a relaxing Queensland winters day. Cheers
Completed the AL this morning while in the area. Lots of kids enjoying the playground today. Had a decent hunt at GZ before finding the cache. Tftc and the AL.
It was raining like crazy when I arrived at this incredible playground to do the Adventure Lab. As a retired itinerant special education teacher for the blind and visually impaired, I had spent time in similar playgrounds. However, none of them can match this one. Everything was placed with intention from equipment to quotes to art. Wow! In spite of the rain, I really enjoyed my time there doing the Adventure Lab. A bonus is always appreciated. I ended up driving to this one and making the short walk to GZ. There were a lot of birds enjoying the wet ground (and worms?) and appeared nonplussed by my presence. I soon had the cache in hand and tried to keep it dry as I signed it. Thank you for the smiley and the fun! The day:I was visiting from the U.S. and had a goal of driving all the way up the east coast starting in Melbourne and ending in Port Douglas over a few weeks. Today started in Brisbane and ended in Maroochydore. (My Canberra friends and I had a FaceTime last night and they laughed at how I said Maroochydore. Australian names are hard! LOL) I had originally planned to attend a CITO mid-morning in Brisbane but it was canceled due to rain. I picked up a few caches I had saved to drive to including in the cemetery where the CITO was supposed to occur. I found several diverse types today on my way to Maroochydore and its pretty shoreline. It was another great day in Australia! Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but I do appreciate you.
A lovely few days spent in Sunny QLD - here for a work trip but extended it and a mini-getaway it was. TFTC
After parkrun this morning, the group of us headed around the valley the around the west to find a few caches and check out the cool spots. A uni is one big playground and especially this location has so much history, quick find at GZ here.I headed to Brisbane for a few days with Courtneyrose_ to check out the attractions and to catch up with Davidwazza and Jesswrigley, a nice few days away in QLD finding caches along the way here and there. Thanks for the cache
This is a nifty little playground even though we had to park 600 metres away. I like the fact they are trying to sneak in some education with the fun. It was just like how we used to blend up veggies to put in the kids spaghetti bolognese so they didnt know they were eating something healthy. There were lots of discs on the cement blocks that we wanted to check out, but it always looks a bit dodgy when a grown man siddles up next to a kid pretending to be interested in the artwork. We had already walked a distance from the car so there was no problem putting a few more metres in the legs. Nice to have something new pointed out to us and public toilets with soap and paper towel. tftc
Had a great time on my 50th Birthday reminiscing about my years at UQ to gain my degree in Mechanical Engineering.TFTC!
We made the find quickly after the fun AL. We are visiting UQ on ORX626s 50th birthday. Thanks for the fun. Greetings from Seattle.
I had solved this cache quite a while ago. I have attempted previously to make a find here, but the final location was quite busy, so I parked this in my solved file.Today i had to pick up my son from an e-sports event (what is that?) so i left home a little early to make sure i had time to cross this off the list. Parking was easy and GZ was clear, so i began the search and very quickly spied the cache. Container was full of ants, so i cleaned it out, and dusted off the logbook. Original logbook is still in good condition, and there are 8 pages left. Thanks very much for creating this bonus cache for the community Zacgyver. Cheers
Touring around Briscoe so I caught the ferry here and off I went to wander. Magical grounds and a great playground here too. Lovely finally GZ too. Thanks for the fun and adventure.
TFTC! I might have inverted two of the last digits which had me climbing through spider infested garden to try and find it on the fence rechecked the answer and was 77m away with the correct coordinates. Easy find and had a big cheer!
Apologies for the late log here (12.01.24) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.I'd found a good sleeping spot at the end of the road and so came back for this in darkness to catch a bit of a game, look around to do the ALs, and of course, collect this cache as the crowd dispersed. They seemed happy, which was nice. No problems with this one - thanks for an entertaining time in the area TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
I brought GeoM with me to the UQ playground this afternoon and we both had a great time checking out all the different features and completing the AL. We played a few rounds of hide and seek and then walked up to the GZ. He was looking in all the garden beds and I pointed out the hint and the terrain rating to him. Then we checked a few other spots. It was getting dark and I was using the light on my phone so I found the cache just before he did. Thanks Zacgyver for a fun AL and bonus cache. I love being able to share the fun with my kids!
We came here after the UQ Open Day. A fun adventure lab in a cool park with my daughter Pinkypie05. The cache was an easy find in a nice area. TFTC!
Sunday is definitely the day to do UQ caches. Free parking (in blue zones, at least) and way less people. Thanks for the bonus cache!
Found this one after completing the AL. The GPS was not happy to settle but I looked in the obvious spot and found the cache quickly. The university is such a huge and beautiful place. Thank you for brining me here
Zacgyver I found your cache Bonus cache for UQ Educational Playground AL on 4/6/2023, 11:00 am. This is my find 5496 and find # 1 today. Obtained the numbers for the final after completing the adventure lab. Arrived at GZ for a quick and easy find with the help of the hint. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Took Bodhi for a walk and a sniff around this lovely playground for the AL. We jumped in the car for the final . Cache found neatly tucked away. Tftc
Lovely campus and nice area for an afternoon stroll. Quick find. Took TB. TFTC
Our last full day in Brisbane. Decided to take a ferry ride to do the AL and was pleased to find there was an associated bonus cache. The find was pretty straightforward though we had to keep an eye on the muggle snoozing under a nearby tree.
Left a TB that I've had for a while.
Thanks for the cache.

Event and CITO this afternoon and then a few caches in the area.
Stopped by at the playground and took a walk around to the WP in the area. Believe that one was missing so had to do a google to find the answer.

We found Bonus cache for UQ Educational Playground AL before heading home after a long weekend on Brisbane
Obviously, 1st day back was not the ideal day to visit UQ however we enjoyed the Lab series and the quick find at GZ
Thanks Zacgyver for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves

With the geo kid at uq for a training session this evening, what else is there to do but a spot of caching. Completed the lab and then went off on the short very humid walk to grab this one.

Knowing we’d have easy access to free parking at UQ today, we decided to bring our bikes and collect what we could in the vicinity. We parked at the playground and started our adventure with the AL. What a great facility they have here. Afterwards we headed off on our bikes and found all the surrounding caches before finishing our circuit at this one. A nice muggle free area today for our hunt.
Thanks Zacgyver
Thanks Zacgyver
Delightful exploration of a playground and garden I didn’t know existed, and honestly wouldn’t have expected at a uni. I very much enjoyed all of the locations, and definitely feel like I’ve experienced a side of UQ that I didn’t know about. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC, Zacgyver. =^.^=
Found while over here doing some adventure labbing! Had a fun time getting a few adventures over near the university and the West End parts of brisbane!
Cool AL, very fast 5 finds too!

We decided on an Adventure Lab feast this afternoon, hitting St Lucia, West End, Highgate Hill, Dutton Park and Yerongpilly before heading home, grabbing a small handful of assorted caches along the way....
What a great little playground, all playgrounds should be the same really.... a little extra education never hurts. The bonus was found quickly after a quick search, TFTC!

Short easy adventure lab, made this bonus cache easy to find. University is looking good at the moment, lovely sporting area. All good here. TFTC
What a great little playground. As a math and physics professor, I especially applaud the fundamental equations etched in the walkways. Thanks for a fun adventure lab and the easy to find bonus.
Tftc and the lab, made a quick find here, cache was is good condition.

Stop 3 of our Australia tour is Queensland. Catching up with friends and old haunts in Brisbane. Visiting our land at Mt Mellum and friends at their Neurum Creek camp ground. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find.
Came out to tour UQ to see if Thomas had any interest (I did a Masters of Environmental Management here in 1998!). Thanks for the quick AL series and bonus at the end.

In town for the Magic Round of Rugby League. Decided to find some caches after arriving today, headed to the University for some Virtuals and a Lab.

Having visited friends in Queensland for an 18th birthday over the weekend, it was into Brisbane for a couple of days to pick up some caches around town before flying home.
The late night adventure in UQ continued with this adventure lab. Although some of the area was fenced off, all of the waypoints were accessible and so this final was soon found.
Thanks Zacgyver for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

I completed the associated lab cache a long time ago and really enjoyed the playground although today i see the floods have made an impact and workers were there getting back to its glory. I must take my grandson there when they are all fixed. Today i came to pick up this bonus and once at GZ i took a few looks here and there before i spotted this cache. Thank you for the great Lab cache and for the added bonus.
My gps was way off for this one fed up with being pointed all over the place I sat down read the clue checked again success found the cache. Tftc
Nice night for an adventure lab with scoobywhite, arbie87 and demogorgon519. TFTC!
Nice part of UQ that I have ridden past many times. Extra interesting in the dark! TFTC.

This is why I love caching! I never even knew this place existed, but came to do the adventure lab and let the kids have a decent play. Got the required numbers and plugged in the new coordinates and off we trotted. Time to get some steps up.
Cache found with ease by the kiddos and in good condition.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache and thank you for the adventure lab **Zacgyver**

With the required info I entered the numbers at started my search but came up empty handed. Well I must have done something wrong because where we were searching was in fact no where near GZ. With the correct numbers input we made our way to GZ where I located the cache. Tftc and AL Zacgyver
Ventured to this educational facility while the academics were hibernating and the local muggles were avoiding the rain.
Not too many short persons hanging around today which allowed me to collect the facts needed and the final coords. Spotted the hide when looking around, signed and hid a little better. Thanks zacgyver for setting up the lab cache.

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took a visit to the University of Queensland in St Lucia. We thought with it being the weekend, it would be an ideal time in walking around with baby and visiting the main campus. We started out with completing the *UQ Educational Playground* Adventure Lab, and then had a walk around the Great Court whilst completing the virtual cache and *UQ-St Lucia* Wherigo adventure. A nice few hours in walking around the area, although there were not too many eating options available on a weekend for lunch!
After completing the Adventure Lab and obtaining a set of coordinates for this bonus cache, we took a short walk to GZ. This area was lovely, and [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) commented that this section was reasonably new to her, from when she attended US as a student back 10 years ago. Upon arriving at GZ, we made a reasonably quick find of the cache, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Zacgyver for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Came at this one right after finishing the adventure lab.
Sat down on one of the slabs with the quotes on to input the numbers. Suddenly, I thought it was raining. Turned out to be some kid laying on the button for the sprinkler poles. Seeing as he was intent on continuing, I moved away to continue putting the numbers in.
GZ is a lovely spot. A group of very mellow ducks were hanging out here and didn’t even flinch while I sat, grabbed, signed and wrote this log.

Did the adventure lab a week or so ago, but save the bonus for another day. It is only a minute walk from my weekday car park! GPS on my phone was not playing ball here today, but took a look at a likely location and found the cache. TFTC and the AdLab series!
definitely one of the best labs around
so much fun
loved all the inspirational quotes ... have taken photos of them

My first bonus AL cache. I have often seen these but had never done any ALs. The nearby one is now No 3. Wandered over to GZ on a quiet afternoon and found the cache in an obvious place. About 4m out by my phone. Tftc
This morning I scored a coveted invitation to The Bromance "Swim Club" at UQ Pools, part of Swellerfungus' rehabilitation from ankle surgery that will hopefully have him back on the hiking trails some time soon.
It's been well over 20 years since I have last swum laps in a pool, and by the end of the session I could barely lift my arms enough to read my phone. I did manage to eke out just enough strength to wander around the various waypoints for the Adventure Lab. There were a few kids enjoying the various facilities on offer in the playground, but sadly I am way too old to partake (although the math based light poles looked rather interesting).
I managed to find a parking spot closer to GZ and wandered over. The excellent coordinates had me bank on the cache which was quickly spotted, allowing me to add my name to the logbook. TFTC

Awake nice and early this morning, I decided to make the most of my time before work and headed over here for a cache or two. After checking the map I was pleased to see there was an AL here, even better.
After working through the Lab and grabbing the required information, I wandered to gz and before too long had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced as found.

This was an awesome AL in a really cool place! Thanks for taking us here and thanks for the bonus!
If we had the right equation, we would certainly give the UQ Educational Playground AL ten stars! It was such fun - even in the rain!
Sadly at GZ we checked everything that would make a magnetic attraction without any luck.
Sadley, a DNF for us with this one.
Thanks Zacgyver for placing such interesting caches on the gameboard.

Thank you for having your adventure here Zacgyver. I took the family to Guyatt Park and then saw this ad lab nearby. What a fabulous park. We had so much fun here. The poles with the various games was our favourite. We also used the mist columns, the flying fox and did a run/jog lap of the athletics track.
Found on a very hot day, thought it would be easier to do while there not much going on at UNI and parking would be easier to find. It is a lovely Playground but my kids have far outgrown it. Lots of interesting facts but it was hard reading the phone screen to read the questions due to the glare. Sat in air conditioned car to do maths, arrived at GZ and a quick grab, signed log and replaced as found. TFTC
I had picked today to complete the AL series as I thought it would be quiet and there would be easy parking.
Well, I got the parking thing correct but the playground was crowded. I tried to look inconspicuous bat that was rather hard for an elder male with no children attached. I managed to get all the questions answered and then headed to find this bonus.
A bit of a stroll and in the opposite direction from where the car was parked.
Even at 3pm the sun was scorchingly hot as I strolled to FZ. A search of a couple of spots before I picked the right one.
Thanks Zacgyver for the AL series.
