It looks like there has been some fresh gardening occurring here as this local council freshens up the local parks. I found this cache today on my Mega Walk #18 - a 22,000 step walk firstly around Coburg, then from Fawkner and onto Brunswick. I picked this one up whilst on a walk around the Brunswick Brewery Ad Lab. Even when I knew where it was, I still could not see it until I got up close, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, after finishing the AdLab, I did not get back for the bonus cache because, as I was walking, it was now too far from where I had ended up, so that one will have to wait until the next trip. Thanks from D B-A

Needing some exercise and having missed today's event and city Sad and fitfully working on a challenge, I decided to start at Fleming Park, walk along the Merri up to Pentridge and have a go at the newly created series centred on the site. I didn't quite realise that the whole trip including caches would result in roughly 19.5km of walking but I can tell you I felt it on the way back to the car as I navigated the service-laden Sydney Rd. footpath.Seeing as how this is the portion of the log which will serve as a common bit of text to all my logs of the day I want to take this opportunity to have a bit of a rave about the Pentridge series. I can see it wasn't appropriate to nominate for the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards but I'll be certainly nominating the series as best-in-class for the 2024 awards. This is **exactly** what geocaches are at their best: cheeky & brilliant camo, well chosen spots for hides that don't have high levels of muggle traffic, meticulously researched cache text that informs a cacher about what they are seeing as they navigate the site, accurate sets of coords and finally coverage of the bulk of a fairly large area. Well done GJMMelb a real tour de force and many thanks for a very enjoyable afternoon. My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. ---Many thanks to FMH1977 for putting this cache out. On the day I found it I was understandably more concerned with finding it with the least chance of being unobserved by a muggle. Arriving in the afternoon maximised my chances I'm sure I was unobserved. If it does go missing, I'd suggest attempting to relocate this to a less observed (if possible) part of the park as it would be a shame to see it archived and lose all the well researched and informative historical text.I congratulate Moreland (now Merri-bek) Council and its residents on their far-sighted wisdom. My local council is only now beginning to realise the problem of an increasing population with the least amount of open space in the whole of Victoria.

On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. SmileDay 7/74, Sunday, it was all about geocaching and relaxing. I had so much fun. The best part of the day was a really interesting and long discussion in a tram with an American guy that was spending a working holiday year in Australia. But the geocaches were good too. SmileThis was the first actual cache of the day (after some lab caches). I found the camo quickly... but no logbook. Then I found the logbook from the ground nearby. Then I found the thing that covered the logbook, also nearby. Odd. Well, not they are all back together. Everything in good condition, no worries. Thank you for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! SmileLogged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).

I’ve been taking a bit of a break from caching lately and haven’t found any in a few weeks.

Today I drove into Brunswick East to go buy some modular synths so I decided to go for a walk and find any nearby caches afterwards.

After I looked in the right place, I quickly found the familiar container, log signed and replaced as found. Additionally I dig the metal themed hint, even if it’s not a band I listen to particularly often.

Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Tftc

I needed a cache for my calendar and so was hoping for a quick stop here before heading to Blues dancing. I began to worry when I started reading previous logs and the hint didn't help me too much as the cache wasn't where that suggests exactly. But eventually my geosenses kicked in and I saw something out of the usual and there was the cache.

Thanks for placing and maintaining a cache for us all to find!

I'm in the area for work this morning and decided to swing past this cache. I know this area well as it's the home grown to the Fitzroy Dockers. It's where all is West Aussies gather to play a game of footy. Fitzroy Dockers vs West Coast Eagles!!

Cache was found very quickly. Signed and replaced ready for its next visitor.

Thank you

Too many muggles and people in the backyard of the adjoins house

13-Jan-23
Third time's a charm. I came down here with my lunch and ate while I waited for some little muggles to scram. I checked the map with satellite view and found it where I did not originally expect to. Also found was a spiders nest, so be careful! TFTC

Cache was still in place. Just need to look a little harder Smile

06-Jan-23
A large branch has come down with recent winds very close to GZ. Might need to be careful trying to retrieve this one. I'm still trying.

06-Jan-23
The fallen branch does not obstruct access to the cache and it is easily accessible without touching or being particularly close to the fallen branch.

04-Jan-23
Wondering if the newly fallen branch at GZ means that this one needs maintenance - no luck today

04-Jan-23
Going to disable this one looks like it might be gone. I’ll put a replacement in tonight.

21-Dec-22
No luck. Lots of bugs and a dead pigeon though. I'll keep trying

I had been nominated as the family taxi driver and had an hour to spare between 'fares'. I decided that it was time to make some progress on Reach the Peak with just a week to go.

This was the first for the night. Although there were a few people in the park it was clear at the GZ so I could make the quick find. TFTC.

12-Feb-22
We quickly enticed the local muggle sitting on the nearby seat into caching.
The intro of “ don’t mind us , we are playing a game” gave us the Pokémon Go cover.
As he got more interested we revealed so much more. Last we left and he was googling geocaching.Com!
We found the cache, appropriately disguised and quickly spotted.
TFTC, the lovely park and all the well researched history.

Revelling in the fact that expanding our allowed range from home to ten kilometres has allowed me to cache again, I picked a walking route that should net a handful of finds, and started wandering the streets and pathways of Brunswick.

After visiting the amazing Annie Borat community resource, I took the laneways east to Fleming Park, which, in the sunshine, was quite busy. Fortunately, it was quiet enough in this corner for a quick search, before I relaxed at the convenient park bench to stamp the log.

Thanks, FMH1977
