Great cache hide, lots of fun. Cant believe we are straight after Preklaw (my brother) we both live 1200km from here. TFTC
Thanks for bringing us to this wonderful park. Great find and definitely a favourite. TFTC
This is a hilarious story so i went to GZ and a saw a "object" it was specifically place but i didnt think much of ir so i picked it up and started using it as a poking stick to clear put the tree hollows from any creppy crawlies. unknown to me i had already found the geo cache it was only after i took a closer look i realized it had been in my hand all the time i had been looking this cache caught me so off guard. Placed back correctly. If i had a favourite point I'd have given it to u but im not premium. Thanks For This Amazing Cache.-Arandomcacher12
Went to this park for an early dinner and decided to grab a cache whilst here, my first for the year! Too easy, what a great cache hide. Signed the log and replaced as found.
There was a group of locals skulling their daytime drinks across the way as I approached, was able to swoop in for a find and replaced as found unnoticed. Then admired the nearby murals in the IP address.
Into Townsville for a few weeks with work, sleeping in a tent in a field near a busy road isn't that bad really, when you're tired you soon acclimatize. Flew in yesterday from NZ and after unpacking and orientating myself we had the day to ourselves. I headed out for an early coffee before breakfast and after that I headed our for my first foray into Townsville. With not many transport options aside from Shanks's pony I covered over 27km of ground, but suffered with a swollen foot for a few days afterwards. Started off with a run of 5 or 6 DNFs, but soon turned it around afterwards. Thanks to all COs for their hides found today.

This was awesome! We had to come back in daylight this was the most fun we’ve had so far in our cashe career
Getting a few on this side of the river and adding more smiles to my map, also trying to hit my 50 finds. Tftc.
I needed some exercise; too much sitting in the car, so parked near the bridge and set out for a walk along the river. Walked about 7.5 kms. It appears some have had trouble getting the lid off, but no such difficulty for me today. Quick find. TFTC BenM70.
I found an archived mystery earlier in the day but that won’t cut the mustard as it isn’t a traditional so I headed on down to Rossiter Park and got stared at unrelentingly by a rather large turtle. I had to take refuge behind a large tree so it wouldn’t raise hairs on the back of my neck any more. While there I managed to locate what direction the GZ was and made the find after a thorough search. Seemed a little too easy and may have been a result of cache creep. Thanks BenM70 for the cache
Second attempt at this one due to too many muggles last time. It was easy to access without damaging any flora. Very cute cache
Streak day 11
Out in the cold rain for yet another cache. After talking to the co a couple days ago and getting a hint decided to come back and after looking for a while found, in a different way that required me spinning 180°.
TFTC or NFFTC is what I should be saying.
Cheers Ben for the cache, you are almost more annoying then Burgo.

This took us some time to get our hand on the cache.. We where not shore what we are allowed to do in the park..GPS said it was there .. long story short, we signed log and returned cache to its hide...
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 14. Townsville post Mega section Day 2. For my last day in Townsville, I joined TikvaNZ for another section of the Ross River power trail, with a bit of on and off again rain and a closed section we did pretty well. After that I set myself a list of puzzles and other non -trad caches to find for the day, which all took a lot longer than I expected, not to mention the ongoing rain all day. It has been a wonderful time in Townsville, and I have many more caches to get, so hopefully I will get to pass through again later in the year.
Thanks for the cache BenM70

Day 14 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. This morning Albida33 and I did some more of the Ross River Power Trail by bike/scooter. Apart from having to skip 4 due to being fenced off, all caches we attempted were soon found. TFTC.

Found with geopartner Wollaston and Monchichi1, checked this spot a couple of times, even picked up the container a couple of times until the light bulb switched on!

A bit downstream of here, a couple were baptising their K9. There were all manner of aquatic life in attendance including turtles but excluding the logs with teeth. Another good hide in this series.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC BenM70

During the Easter long weekend, it was all about the Townsville Mega event! Highlights included a hike at Cape Pallarenda Conservation Peak, walks atop the local mountains of Mount Stuart, Castle Hill, and Mount Louisa, checking out a few shady spots along Ross River, sewer pipe / tunnel adventures, and a scuba dive to see the Museum of Underwater Art at John Brewer Reef. The Mega events themselves were fantastic: Gadget lab caches, GPS maze, trivia night, tree planting CITO, and Cal's Escape Room. There was also plenty of geocaching to be had, such as power trailing through the geoarts The Saint and the Book, and the collection of challenge caches at Bushland Beach mudflats. My view of Townsville had completely changed from my trip experience, and much kudos to the Cache Qld Townsville Mega Committee.
Our next area of interest for e.gregory1 and I was some of the more interesting Ross River Power Trail (RRPT) geocaches along Riverway Drive. With no boat TOTT with us, our scope remained to those that could be accessed by land. We found this cache on our way back to the car after taking a shimmy. Our coordinates had us searching around, but it was e.gregory1 that found the shortcut inside, and we soon found the nicely camouflaged cache container. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We decided to sign the geocache as DWEG1 (Davidwazza and e.gregory1) to save space in the logbook. Nice turtle sculptures nearby too! Thanks BenM70 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found with BecknMonts while out using our electric scooters. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon when we found most of the cachers that we went for.
Found while in Townsville to attend the Mega event.
I travelled up from Adelaide, taking a week or so so get here, meeting up with FeatherWaite to do some caching around the Cunnamulla area then continuing on to Barcaldine and Charters Towers.
While in Townsville I teamed up with Budgietas, Stainless-steel-rat and Gooseandegg on some days, including a day on Magnetic Island, and with Davidwazza at other times. When caching with Davidwazza, logbooks were signed DWEG1.
All in all it was a great week or so in Townsville, with plenty of great caches found.
Thanks BenM70 for the cache.

A fantastic scooter ride around the river resulted in some caches today! Thanks for the caches BenM70.
Found it! What a sneaky and clever hide! Definitely worth a favourite from us, BenM. TFTC
Day 12 of the trip from Perth to Townsville.
Today was a quick trip down from Charters Towers to get the only appointment available to replace the windscreen before doing a few caches here and there around Townsville. After booking in to the cabin went for another short caching run before doing some shopping.
Cache found without problems. Log signed and cache returned as it was found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for geocachers to find.

Day 12 of the trip from Perth to Townsville.
Today was a quick trip down from Charters Towers to get the only appointment available to replace the windscreen before doing a few caches here and there around Townsville. Had decided to do a walk around some of the RRPT but it got too hot for a long walk so cut the number of caches attempted down to a shorter number.

What a magnificent tree. We loved the frog the fish and the turtle statue to. Thanks for sharing the spot with us a favourite point
Found at 7:49 AM GAFF1.
Went for a quick few caches near where we are camped before our day's adventure. Lovely mild morning and this location was interesting in that we went the wrong way around the tree as is usual and then found the cache in the last possible spot that it could have been located
Thanks BenM70.

Coongoola & Geodog are on an adventure travelling to the Townsville event in Qld. Love this hide, awesome tree, found on the ground, put back in a suitable part of the tree. We found your cache today, 9 April 2022 3:19 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC BenM70
I had a few hours this morning before I had to drive home and had the mountain bike packed so decided to do some of this trail, I didn't have time to finish it so will be back another day.
Overall I liked the array of different caches with some being an easy ride all the way to the cache and others needing some tree climbing/fishing ability.
Most of the caches and logs were in good order.
Many thanks to the CO's for placing.

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
24/12/2021 Up in Townsville staying near the Lakes. Attacking the RRPt today to increase my numbers. Thanks to all the cachers in the area who have placed caches fir my enjoyment. TFTC SL Good camo. Easy access into garden
Felt a bit guilty going through the garden but it did offer good coverage. TFTC
Couldn’t get the cache out as my wrist won’t undo the lid. I’m “logging” it online only.
Finally after hint from CO we found it. Little travel tracker in hand for the adventure
Another treasure hunt day with Mudblood6 back to avenge yesterday’s DNF after a hint from CO. Finally found it. Def a favourite for the creative camo and curiosity provoking title. Great little park. TFTC
Nice tricky hide justafan1107 was standing on it lol. Great camouflage T.F.T.C
Beautiful day for a walk and geocaching.
Very interesting hide. Liked it very much.
Thanks for the the hunt.
Turtle is one of my favourite attractions.

On the ground scrabbling around trying to find this one could not find but we will be back
This tricky hide definitely has Mudblood6 and I scratching our heads, covered in tree bark, leaves ans dirt determined to find that which is most likely more obvious than we expect.. we will be back another day to try again !!
Very clever hide!
Have found it, but am now stuck hiding until council muggles to leave the area

As I was passing by, I checked this cache as I have seen the recent DNFs. It’s still there people. The camouflage really couldn’t blend in more and given that GZ hasn’t been trimmed recently it is currently even harder figuring out where to search if you don’t know what you are looking for. Personally, I would judge it as a D3 due to the camo and high muggle activity in this area.
Had a good look, but too many spiders and other creepy crawlies for us to look for too long
Sneaky one. I wasn’t able to extract the log though to sign it , will message owner proof of finding instead.
Having arrived in Townsville and staying a stones throw away we ventured to this cache. Teamed with Team JLBL. So sneaky. Thanks for hiding. Fav
Hoping this would be a relatively easy find for a Saturday with my Geo-munchkins, but it wasn’t to be. Too many muggles & super windy at GZ, oh & that turtle... his stare was intimidating lol
Today was another day on the bikes, riding the RRPT searching for caches with the Snakepitters, this was a great way to visit the area.
There was quite a variety of hides including tree climbis, glad to have a monkey in the group with us today
Thanks for placing this amazing series BenM70

On the bikes today with Bill from DiMorgan, it was the RRPT Trail not sure how we would go looking at some of the terrain ratings, but decided to give it a go.

A neat spot for a cache. Today we were well hidden from the muggles on the other side but a lucky quick find meant we weren't there long anyway. Sneaky hide, thanks BenM70.
Had to kill some time on a Sunday morning so this was it. Zippy helped with the find. Bit tricky to open once we did find it.
Found with orth71.
Great cache Ben.
Although no tree climbing involved - Zippy the climbing turtle was able to sniff out the cache.

Found this one on Sunday with greyfire. I had a strong sense of déjà vu when arriving at the GZ with greyfire. He hadn’t been here before but I surely had with his mum earlier in the year. Must say, this hide is much more clever. Well done Ben!
[FTF] Surrounded by two birthday parties I had to wait and search form far. At one point I simply tried my luck, but it wasn’t easy. Thankfully burgo78 came for a rescue. Nice to have a cache in place here again
{*FTF*} 3pm 25/7/20 with GC_Diver.
I saw this one pop up but was busy doing some jobs so I’d decided to leave it for others until I was alerted to needing the DT for my FTF grid.
At GZ I met GC_Diver and a couple of minutes later the cache was in hand. A recent find of a similar hide being fresh in the memory helped.
Thanks BenM70 for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.
