Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in beautiful Port Elliot for a few days to cache the area. Heading to Victor Harbour on a cold blustery day. Thanks for the find. LCNU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Our last day in Port Elliot finds us cleaning up a few more caches before we hit the road again. TFTC LNCU.
Paddle Chick and myself are heading to Murray Bridge area. Getting caches along the way and very hot today
Picking up a few final caches in the area before we hit the road. Nice easy find TFTC Au Cook Family#16653
Was ready for a hard cache and this one kept the promise. Found in 8mins when I nearly walked into it. TFTC
Me and my bro were playing hide and seek and then he found it in the tree in a container
Ida and Rufus and Minnie found treasure. Not a bison hanging from a tree
We approached this cache as we looked into the sun and had no success. When we turned around with the sun at our backs, the cache was seen very quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Au Cook and Family for the cache.
I’m on my way to a CITO in Victor, and have time up my sleeve for a few bonus caches. Still a lot for me to choose from in this part of the state.
Time for one more trad before arriving at the CITO, and here it is. A lot of potential hiding spots here, but the coordinates worked a treat for me and the cache was found quickly.
I got sprung emerging from the bushes. I often wonder what people think.
Thanks for the hide Au Cook Family.

OZGrumpy and I went out for a day of hunting to fill in some of my DT grid and grabbed this one on the way. Not too hard if you know what you're looking for. TFTC Au_Cook_Family
On a lovely cooler day, KTPops and I went south to collect some smileys, some of which were high on our list for her DT grid, and others were puzzles I had solved in recent months. Armed with a multitude of TOTTs (except mosquito spray) we had a blast of a day.
This one was found by KTPops as I was circling for my second round. The cache is in good condition. Thank you Au Cook Family for this hide. Find #7684 at 1.42pm

Not gonna lie, I was hoping to find a literal mini bison in the tree, but good cache regardless! This reserve is a little hidden gem. TFTC!
Trip today with Earthlight. A lab and various types of caches were found as we cached from Moana to Victor and back .
Thanks cache owners for placing for our enjoyment

Found while caching around Victor Harbor for the day. Thanks for the cache Au Cook Family!
Nice park to hide it in.
Cache found in the open and log spread out on ground. I fixed the cache and covered it again (probably not well enogh thogh) but I am not sure where it is meant to be. Will need to be checked for correct hiding place.

We thought the park looked familiar but the new bike jump thingys look new and we didnt remember them. Another nice park tucked away off the main road out of Victor. We have bikes but they seem too unsuitable for these bike jumps, think we will leave that to the BMX gangs.
Look at all the types of bike sports there are ....
Road bicycle racing involve both team and individual competition, and races are contested in various ways. They range from the one-day road race, criterium, and time trial to multi-stage events like the Tour de France and its sister events which make up cycling's Grand Tours.
The races typically take place from spring through to autumn. Many riders from the northern hemisphere spend the winter in countries such as Australia, to compete or train. Professional races range from the three-week "Grand Tour" stage races such as the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España to multi-day stage races such as the Tour de Suisse and Tour of California, to single day "Classics" such as the Tour of Flanders and Milan–San Remo. The longest one-day road race sanctioned by USA Cycling is Lotoja which covers the 206 miles (332 km) from Logan, Utah to Jackson, Wyoming. Criteriums are races based on circuits typically less than a mile in length and sometimes run for a set time (60 min, 90 min, etc.) rather than a specific distance.
Main article: Track cycling
Track cycling encompasses races that take place on banked tracks or velodromes. Events are quite diverse and can range from individual and team pursuits, two-man sprints, to various group and mass start races. Competitors use track bicycles which do not have brakes or freewheels.
Cyclo-cross
Cyclo-cross originated as a sport for road racers during the off season, to vary their training during the cold months. Races typically take place in the autumn and winter (the international or World Cup season is September–January) and consist of many laps of a 2–3 km or 1–2 mile course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills, and obstacles requiring the rider to dismount, carry the bike and remount in one motion.
Mountain bike
Mountain bike races are held off-road and involve moderate to high degree of technical riding. There are several varieties; the main categories are cross-country, enduro and downhill but also 4X or four cross racing.
BMX
BMX takes place off-road. BMX races are sprints on purpose-built off-road single-lap tracks typically on single-gear bicycles. Riders navigate a dirt course of jumps and banked and flat corners.
Cycle speedway
Cycle speedway is bicycle racing on short outdoor dirt tracks, 70–90 m in length.
Motor-paced racing
Main article: Motor-paced racing
Motor-paced racing and Keirin use motorcycles for pacing so cyclists achieve higher speeds.
Gravel racing
Gravel racing is one of the newest disciplines of bicycle racing, emerging in the 21st century. For example, one of the premiere gravel races, Unbound Gravel, started in 2006.[3] Some precursors to gravel racing in its current form include road races like the Tour of the Battenkill and Boulder-Roubaix (named after Paris - Roubaix) which are road races with gravel sections.
At a 2013 event in Mexico, François Pervis achieved an average of 21.40 metres per second (77.0 km/h; 47.9 mph) with a flying start over 200 meters. The top average speed over the men's 1 km time trial at the 2004 Summer Olympics was 16.4 metres per second (59 km/h; 37 mph) recorded by Chris Hoy. Average speeds clearly drop with increasing distance, so that over the 120 km Cootamundra Annual Classic it is 11.8 metres per second (42 km/h; 26 mph). In the 259 km 2010 Paris-Roubaix, Fabian Cancellara set a speed of 10.9 metres per second (39 km/h; 24 mph), while over the 818 km Furnace Creek 508, the speed drops dramatically to 8.3 metres per second (30 km/h; 19 mph).
Phew worn out just reading about it. Thanks Au Cook Family for the cache.

After some rummaging I found it away from GZ in random position. So, replaced at best guess for safe, suitable location.
No body around here today so made a quick and easy find
This afternoon we had a few hours spare before the family dinner so set out to find a few caches in the local area with the time we had.
Total of 25 caches found.

Much looking but no luck also why we were looking a person walked past and asked us if we were looking for the geocache they had been looking for weeks but no luck maybe owner could check location of Of this case
Today I headed to VH and surrounds for a caching day.
Visitors coming to stay unexpectedly meant some frantic housework before I could leave home (they probably didn’t even notice ) so my 8.30 departure became 10.30 but there was a curry in the slow cooker and my house was the cleanest it’s been in weeks!
My goal had been to find 45 caches sadly this ended up being only 27 finds and 4 dnfs. Had a mint day out though the coast was looking beautiful and there was so much bird life to be seen.
Had a lovely cake and coffee in Goolwa and was please with my haul.

This was the first port of call on our bike trip around McCracken. I went right past it but 'Eagle Eyes' quickly spotted it. She hasn't lost her touch after a long break from caching.

I am clearly doing something very very wrong here???
I’ve been three times with no prize even after several extensive searches.
Clearly better than me

Out and about early before the weather turns - spent way to much time on this hunting from tree to tree as GPS bounced around. In the end it turns out we were almost standing on it. TFTC
Drove down this way with Purrfect Di & Jack.
Combined a relaxing spa getaway with a bit of caching fun
Found your cache along the way.
A nice little park. Circled this one for far too long. Lots of rubbish at GZ, and some was covering the cache!!!
Appreciation goes to Au Cook Family for placing and maintaining this one

This cache was found and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or sometimes with just plain old dumb luck!

Stay safe when caching. Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting
[:o)]

Thought we would make the most of the nice weather and tackle a few caches before the forecast rain.
