Solved before GCLOGAN in readiness for the visit. This series fitted in well with this afternoon's Slacks Creek Cycle event. A quick find of a really cheeky hide.... I'm glad no one wandered past while we had this cache in hand. TFTC RoddyC.

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 155 - Logan Day 8. GCLOGAN event day 7. There was no early morning start today, so we decided to do a trip to Rochedale to checkout the jigsaw caches we solved there before arriving in town. There was time for a morning tea before we lined up for the afternoon scooter run along Slacks Creek. A bit of a longer start to this one, but the trail itself went well, even though I only just made it back to the car. After the Scooter ride there was only time for a short detour before getting ready fro Dinner in Beenleigh. A huge crowd in the club and plenty of good information about future events. Another big day tomorrow. These puzzles were a mixture of devious and fun. It was nice to have enough time to visit them and the one we missed was replaced while we were her and then found. The coffee afterwards was a great reward. Our car load of people was Grim Raider, Kitty Katch, Smitten Granny and albida33.Thanks for the cache RoddyC49429.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Cache Hiders A#128**Albida**

Having done the jigsaw some time ago and now being in the area it was now time to make the search. After an extensive search the cache was located and the log signed.

Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow.Had solved all these Rochedale puzzles before leaving NZ and they looked like a nice compact series to knock off in one day. I wasn't so sure about some of the hints though. Seems the CO has a real sense of humour and likes to play a few mind games with cachers.Luckily this hint was deciphered quickly, which made for a nice quick find at GZ, Could have taken a while otherwise. Log was quite full and a bit damp, but managed to make my mark. Thx for placing and maintaining these caches.

13-Jun-24
I really enjoy completing jigidi puzzles as a way to unwind at night. And these puzzles were no exception. Having varying degrees of difficulty I gradually worked through until I had most complete. Having planned on a visit to Brisbane to visit friends we decided to stop by and rub a few of these caches. The anagrams were not needed but provided some additional fun with the puzzles. A quick find at GZ.Thanks for the puzzle and cache RoddyC

14-Apr-24
Having spent a few weeks solving the puzzles for the Rochdale picture series, we are out seeing how many we can find with Legend and Sniggypop. Started our search in the wrong area but then solved the anagram and quickly located it. The log is very wet.

14-Apr-24
Out with ILTW and Legend. Worked on the Rochedale picture series over the last few months. Time to find them all. After a little search I realized I was sitting on it. log signed and replaced. TFTC

I like the hide

07-Feb-24
In the area so while in the area before the heat and humidity kicked in further decided to take a walk around this set of puzzles. A variety of hides of which some provided harder than others and one that was overgrown which probably accounted for the previous searchers DNF. A nice new neighbour hood. TFTC

31-Dec-23
I over complicated this one. Also saw an angry crow swooping a man while signing the log. I ran to my car. Thank you RoddyC for placing this cache for me to enjoy!

30-Oct-23
When time allows, I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles. I completed these pictures a while ago before arriving in Brisbane. Today we were out and about with the CO and hatzofff, riding their e-scooters to collect all of these and perform maintenance where required. What a fun afternoon it was! TFT puzzle, cache, scoot and company.

Out this afternoon to find a few caches. This was a nice easy one for me as I had one years ago. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks RoddyC. All good with this cache and puzzle.

03-Sep-23
With all the puzzles recently completed (some were quick and some took me quite a while to do) and all the anagrams deciphered we made an early start this morning finding the caches. We found this one with the helpful hint, signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks RoddyC.

04-Aug-23
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Loving our time around Brisbane and around the area. Today we targeted some puzzles we had solved int the Rochedale area.

Stopped off here where the container was found after a short search, once we deciphered the anagram.

Thanks RoddyC for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Day 24 of our attempt to get the 3 new souvenirs. We bettered our streak last month to 20 days so we’ve now improved on that! This month we just have to make it to 28!

Needed a close by cache today so went here before picking up the granddaughters from daycare and school. Was a bit worried as I had limited time and it is my third time here. Luckily it was a fairly easy find. Don’t know what was wrong with us the other times !!.

All in order. Signed and replaced.

Thanks RoddyC for the puzzle (which I loved doing) and the cache.

16-Jul-23
Helps if you investigation the right one. We had a laugh here. Started on these puzzles this week and love them. Puzzles I can actually solve without doing my head in. Tftc and a fave point for our first in the series

20-May-23
Need to find some geocaches for this months challenge. I’d solved these ages ago but not been in the area to find them. I loved doing the puzzles BTW! So while coming part way to visit one of our daughters we decided to come the extra distance and find some of these. Sadly my hubby’s patience didn’t last as long as I would have liked but we did find 6 before he wanted to go home. We spent a bit of time here before working something out and then making the find. We thankfully signed the log. We did admire the two landscaped corners at the end of this road. Nicely done Council.
Thanks RoddyC and cheers!

29-Apr-23
Worked out the hunt for a quick find at this one. Clever hide.

15-Apr-23
Found with BrissyCat and GeoM93. Today’s goal: finish off all the house geoart caches by RoddyC. I think this will be the first full geoart picture I’ve finished. Thanks! Cache #1 for today.

15-Apr-23
Out for the day collecting house puzzles with elina_maree and GeoM93. GeoM quickly found the cache and after we signed him up properly, he got to sign his first cache.

Headed out on the geo-scooter for a few caches today.

Decided to hit a few around Rochdale. 16th for the day. Cool cache.

My last cache for the day. It had taken me just over 2 hours to do 13 caches. 12 finds and 1 DNF. It was great to be out and about getting these as I had solved 13 of these puzzles a few weeks back. I now have some of the larger piece puzzles to do now that I have done the easier ones. Was a very quick find here thankfully. A neat hide indeed. TFTC the series. A FP from me for this one and for the fun I had today.

05-Mar-23
After scrubbing headstones at a cemetery CITO, Muggle65, FlutterbySquishy, The Bug and l headed to Rochedale to finally have a go at finding this series. We expected Muggles to be a problem on the weekend but we were pleasantly surprised by how few we saw.
All good here. Thank you for the fun

05-Mar-23
After a busy morning drinking coffee & snacking on donuts we then attended a Dutton Park Cemetery CITO which held a lot of fascination and elbow grease.
The along with FltterbySquishy, The Bug and The Green Geckos we ventured to Rochdale to find some pictures. It was quite hot out there walking around.
Most were good, the odd one damp, but alright to monogram our names in some needed a little more vigour to find than others & one was out in the open & returned to the most likely hide (CO has been notified).

Thanks Roddy C for the series

In QLD for work and had the weekend free. So I met up with a friend who lives here to find these caches.... and motivated as my Melbourne caching buddy Spiffy- had already found them!

All coords where spot on with GPS regularly showing less than 2m. Quick find at this one.

Thanks to RoddyC for the fun and the adventure.

Having finally made my way through solving this whole series, we decided today was the day to head over and find them all. We were impressed with the amount of green space in this estate and enjoyed our time exploring and hunting. Thanks RoddyC

15-Dec-22
DisSister made the find here as I was about to head a little further on to look elsewhere. TFTC

04-Dec-22
I was a bit dumb with this one, going against my usual instincts and making an assumption based on the other caches in this series that I’ve done. Great hide, very well constructed! Tftc

27-Sep-22
Found you. Was not where GZ was trying to pull me and it was very uncomfortable getting this one as on previous attempts it was pulling me to the water sprinkling system next to the fence.

11-Sep-22
We were up here for a few days for my daughters aerobics competition and we were staying nearby in an Airbnb. In between competition and the other family members lazily lying around enjoying their holiday I went out to look for caches every now and then when I could even if I only had an hour or so. Gladly it rained a lot less than Melbourne has been lately and I could even get the shorts back on as well which was nice.

It was the last day of our trip so I was up earlier than normal because I wanted to try and finish whatever I had solved in this series with the help of the kids.
I was expecting this one to be elsewhere but that didn't happen so soon after I spotted something else and that was the cache. Lovely the variety of these hides.
Thanks RoddyC for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

27-Aug-22
I trip to Brisbane with Scratches to for my next milestone. I still had a little work to do making up the numbers so had a look at the map and saw this series that I solved way back when they were published but have yet to find...perfect for the task. Apologies for the generic logs. We had a great time with all the varied hides. TFTC RoddyC.

Next on the list for the mission with Eskies5, I am always a bit wary of these hides but very happy to see it was well-marked!

09-Aug-22
I solved this series some months ago, some easily but many were quite hard and not necessarily the high difficulty ones. Today I decided to find some of them in an area I've not visited before. I've seen this type of cache container before, so it was a quick find. It was damp in outer container but all good with the inner and log sheets. Tftc

Tftc and all the jigsaws RoddyC, out this afternoon to collect a few for this series.

17-Jul-22
Solved the puzzles ages ago but just coming through to find the next batch. In typical fashion, the hints are cryptic but the caches are in good condition and coordinates are spot on!

Found with graceygirl1234. TFTC

These caches have been sitting there looking at me every time I'm down this way mountain biking. Today i should have been doing same but I decided to investigate the area by bike.

I had an enjoyable morning covering the Rochedale back streets and connected path / cycleways. This is a lovely are indeed.

As for the puzzles some days you get lucky and useful tools seem to work. Most days the tool doesn't work.

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.

While heading to the Gold Coast I had a few minutes spare and I made the detour to grab some more of the Rochedale Pictures series. This was second attempt to find this one. Success today. TFTC

TUFTC RoddyC. I had to come back due to muggles and low light the first time. This really was a sneaky one as Google maps put me about 10 metres away and I could not figure out the hint. After I walked away, solved the riddle and came back after school had started and all the people had gone to work, I was able to do a wide and thorough search. the hint helped a lot. My Geostepdad found it first the other day but did not want to help me as he thought it was too obvious, the cheeky jester he is. Either way, another one in the series found. I think I am about half way through now.

05-Jun-22
Woo-Hoo finally found something today. TFTC RoddyC and have another favourite point. Cheers from the Jester-kiwi

Brisbane, we have now set up camp at Thornside for a few days. Visiting the area to catch up with family & also to do some caching.
Today we thought we would head towards Rochedale stopping 1stly at the Koala AL then onto Who Done it. It was then time to cruise the many streets of this new area finding the caches that I had done all the jigsaw puzzles.
Some interesting & tricky hides.
Eventually at mid day we had to call it a day & head back to camp.
This was a good bit of cammo so FP given
Thankyou RoddyC for placing this cache.

A very cool cache, we even got to meet Roddy C and Mrs Roddy. Thanks for the find

Reasonably obvious, but well built. Have another favorite point. Lucky the log is waterproof. I dried everything, but it needs a new baggie. The current one has holes, and I have none in this size. Thanks, RoddyC.

05-Mar-22
We tried this one more than a year ago, but today we had it soon in our hands!

We solved the jigsaws long time ago, but got only today here to get the logsheets signed.

Today we started early, and found all but the Bonus Cache.

I like jigsaw puzzles because I get the chance to finish the geoart.

Found today with Goldielover and the Geodogs. Have really enjoyed the wander around this area. I have installed quite a number of stairs in here over years. It has been great seeing how this area has developed.
Have managed to find and sign all the logs after a lot of hours doing the puzzles. 3 hours on one or two of them. Not really sure though about the hints. Even after finding the caches except for 1 or 2 the anagrams really made no sense at all. Lucky they were all fairly easy to spot.
Thanks RoddyC for placing these for our enjoyment.

I had three days to choose from this week where I could get out to go geocaching. Of course I chose the one where it was pouring rain on the day I wanted to walk around and pick up as many of this series as possible. They had long been solved (some of those puzzles took forever) and I had attempted several times to find the most efficient path to visit all of them, today was to be the day rain, hail or shine. Overall I have to say the finds were more bushy than I was expecting in a suburban setting. So my walking clothes were covered in prickles and at some points spiders and even my socks were sodden by the time I was done. Nevertheless good time had
I parked at the Lifestyle Centre, being the only part of this estate that I am familiar with and pleasingly managed to find 10 of the caches I sought – a record day for someone like me who doesn’t have much time to get out and search – but had me just shy of my next milestone of 500.
I look forward to returning and getting the remainder.

This cache exactly as per the clue and appropriately sodden.

A smiley has been added to Wallaby Street Park - Rochedale Pictures 12! Big Grin*

Out and about finding a few caches of the Rochedale Picture series. With some help from Ms Gums managed to get all the finals and all I needed to do was go and put my name in the logbook! Big Grin to reach the peak of Denali!

Thanks RoddyC for the Mystery cache, the hunt and the smiley today! [D*|

Following the recent lockdown & days spent watching the olympics with the only exercise being travel between the tv & kitchen, it was time to go out & get some exercise. There is no better way to blow out the cobwebs than to go in search of some caches.

Having enjoyed all the jigsaws & solving the anagrams it was time to tackle this series. Also time to get climbing in the ‘Reach the Peak’ challenge.

This was #5 of 11 of the series found today.

Log is wet. Photo provided to CO.

More and more muggles were surfacing from their bricks n mortar edifices. It was time to sca-doodle from here. Decided to collect two caches on the main road before heading back to the car. Will target the rest another day.

At GZ, recognised the spot from one of the jigsaws in the series. With a small searched, the cache popped up and got signed. Thanks RoddyC for entertaining me here.
