Made a start on these airport caches with half and hour to spare. Found some, didn't find others but not a lot of time to be had for prolonged searching. Evidence of vegetation trampling at each cache.nearly missed it.TFTC gabs1963
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 81 - Geraldton Day 1. My plan today was to attempt some of the series of caches around Geraldton. I started off with the Plane View caches around the airport. Very mixed road conditions, tractors to massive ore trucks. Plenty of difficult hides and some I just could not locate. Next I headed north for a go at the Jungle series, that looked like it was on a road, but, wow, it was not. I walked to most of them from Chapman road but even here I had a few I could not find. After lunch I went into the town center to do a set of Labs and tried unsuccessfully serval caches there, only one in the end. I will do some logging and head back into town for dinner tonight. Rain predicted this evening, it could be a quiet day tomorrow. Thanks for the cache gabs196348523.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & April 2022 Overland Adventure A#487**Albida**
Made our way up the turquoise coast to Gero from Perth on a caching trip for a few days. Rain has been heavy and relentless but we are still making progress. Tackling this series so apologies for generic logs! Cache found, signed log and replaced as found. TftcMM

Hi there gabs1963. While out for a days caching today we found this cache at 1133am after a short search . TN, LN, SL. Thanks to gabs1963 for this cache - our find 10849 and the 6th of 11 finds for the day.FieldNotes: The cache and log were both found in good condition.
Road trip day 2. More rain and wind to contend with. Everywhere is green at the moment and the wildflowers are making the landscape many different colours as well.
This is my 11473find.
Thankyou gabs1963 for placing and maintaining this cache

Heading north on a road trip with richlink enjoying the locations we visit, th sights we see, and grabbing some caches along the way.
As richlink had already completed this series, they continued on to our digs while found the found the few we had left to find.
Thanks gabs1963, it took us three visits to Gero to find them all.

We’re trying to get a few smileys on this leg of the Airport series today before we leave Geraldton to head North where caches are few and far between. A beautiful day to be out and about.
This one was a quick park and grab. TFTC

In 2019, we completed the lap around the airport on our first visit to Geraldton. We did not find one or the other cache. We wanted to go looking for them today. We were happy if we were able to ride the lap with e-bikes, because there was a strong headwind at times. We found almost all the ones we were looking for. Many thanks to the owner for laying the cans.
Day 16 of the road trip, and 2nd full day enjoying Gero. Main objective today was to make a start on this series - it's been spoiling my map for too long, haha. I managed to knock off 18 from the series, so happy with that. 2 hides were DNF but can give them another look next time I am here. Otherwise, all were reasonably quick finds - some a little more so than others All finds were in good condition - TFTC
Our aim today was to find the caches in the plane spotting series. We enjoyed the trail and the variety of hides and caches. Spotted quite a few planes taking off and landing, so must have been around at a good time. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Found it. TFTC gabs1963. Happy to make the fond here today. Just doing a circuit to see if I can get some that I missed before. Replaced as found.
A wander into the roadside grass took me to the boundary fence.
This would be a good spot to watch planes landing
And voila !! Right on cue, the morning flight from Perth materialised out of the blue.
After that bit of entertainment, it was back to finding the cache
TFTC and plane spotting.

We had a bit of free time today as our friends were busy with family today so we made the most of the beautiful weather to come out and grab a few caches.
Having tried this series a few visits back we spotted some new ones had been added to it and we still had a few that we hadn't found previously so we decided to head here and try our luck.
We enjoyed the nice quiet road and a couple of different hiding techniques and containers but unfortunately the air was vacant and there was no plane spotting for us today. We were more than content just enjoying the weather and picking up a few more smilies.
Thanks gaba 1963 for the cache.

Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Cheers gabs1963!

Somehow managed to lose my pen between this cache and the one up the road. Dropped a coin in as evidence that I’ve been there. Loving the variety of micro containers
Got up after the wind and rain last night so packed up our gear and hit the caches in town before caching our way home.
A great overnight trip to Geraldton, still managed a few dreaded Geraldton DNFs but managed to cleanup the labs in town so all wasn’t lost.
Thanks to the locals for their hides and we hope to be back soon, well I know we’ll be back soon.

Thanks gabs1963 for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
A rather large puddle on the lower side of the road necessitated a long walk or else wet feet. The double gee prickles are very lush and are going to be a real problem. TFTC
On holidays heading east and grabbing a few caches as we go. Thought a nice easy, relatively quiet drive around here would net a few finds and we were right.
All good quick finds
