Logs
I found the hide but didn't have the tools necessary to retrieve and sign the log.
Found on the second visit with a local who had the required tools to make the retrieval. Had to show her where it was now as she found the original hide. TFTC
After a short search we reached up and found the sneaky little thing. With a cache of our own that is exactly the same, we had a bit of inside knowledge. Thanks Stammily for giving us something to do while we were visiting this area.Chiefton!!!
Enjoying a day off in Leongatha.Out caching with Sharon14 & [email protected] you hide StammilyLogged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
A day with gwd.aussie and D@geo in Leongatha. This is one of the caches we found. Thanks for placing the cache Stammily
Found with gwd.aussie and Sharon14.Decision was made last night to head down to Leongatha for some caching. Plenty of newer caches for us to find since my last visit. Thanks Stammily
We had different plans for today, but as it happens, plans change. The rain, the logging trucks, stuff, it all accumulated with us ending up in Leongatha. We saw a series lets do that we agreed. As we drove into town, this was the nearest one. We hunted for a while. Once we found it we laughed at the previous log entries, now knowing what they mean.Nice hide, Thanks Stammily
Initial plans for today were aborted so SnipsandCo and I decided to cache in Leongatha. We hit up the playground series along with a few other strays. This was one of the caches we found..At GZ I couldn't work out where the sticky stuff everyone was referring to was...then I spied something that very much resembled WD40 lol...Bingo...
Grabbing a few different hides while passing through the area.Started searching where my GZ was pointing but it was lots of damaged trees. Expanded search after reading previous logs, where I eventually made the find. Thanks Stammily for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
After a previous DNF we were back today to redeem ourselves. And luckily for us, we did! It was a relatively easy find. Coords were pointing elsewhere but we got it eventually. TFTC stammily#131
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 149Sidetracked Cache Finds: 118In Leongatha for the day for a meeting with a client and just a few caches.A Top of the Camo is very sticky, not sure why. But definitely needed to wash my hands after finding it.Cheers for the cache.
Ooooo, that took some searching! I could feel something odd (compared to the rest...!) and after persevering, it came to hand. Please place this back gently so others can find it a little easier. ....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . ((__)..... _ ((___)....... -'((__)--.___((_)
Out visiting the area. Why not find some caches. Great locations. Thanks for placing the cache.
Its still there. It needed a little nudge from a TOTT to release it, but its good to go. Please replace gently and without force.
Looked for a good 20 mins and found nothing. We were looking where it said on the map but there was no trace.
An afternoon caching run with +Wife and EveTheStaffy. A quick find here after visiting the netball courts.Stamped the log. Thanks for the cache.
While staying in Inverloch for a couple of days, we ventured to Leongatha for lunch. Very impressed with the town. Lovely lot of shops and quite busy. Nice easy find but no letter/ number left here. Thanks for the cache
OMG…. Thought this was to be an easy series!!!
It’s getting harder by the minute with 2 DNFs and now a missing clue.
This was a reach alright. Needed to get some TOTTs from the car… namely a step up and a hammer! A brand new log and our name is second.
Brand new log… no clue for E!!!
So no clues available to us for A, E and J… we are so disappointed!

Luckily no muggles were around so I could make my way to GZ without any trouble. Once there I quickly spotted where I thought the cache was, but unfortunately wasn’t able to access the log. I messaged the CO who said I had indeed found the cache and was happy for me to log it anyway. TFTC!
Found on one night in Leongatha. A little trouble extracting from its hiding spot but eventually got there. Thanks.
We wandered over and straight into the bushes, nicely secreted from the family utilising the equipment and well within earshot of the basketballs being pounded in the nearby stadium, like a drumkit. This took a lot of work. We knew we were relying on our tall timbered team member so I spent most of the time peering upwards. Team Gruidae already checked out the most suspicious thing, but I made her return not once, but twice to have another go and on the third go, we discovered something. Off she went to examine others and found that this was a unique feature.....and I couldn't take the torture any more of being so short and climbed up there. I tugged, she pushed, I twisted, wrenched, re-arranged my feet for another yank and nothing. A precarious photo was taken and the CO gave us the go-ahead to log. TFTC Stammily!
This was to be our fourth cache for the afternoon, another with multiple DNF’s logged previously. The children searched for a bit but the big colourful park right next to GZ and the shiny Autumn day was too much to resist and off they scampered, leaving just Mummy Short Legs and I scratching out heads. I’d actually suspected the location of the cache first but then decided it wasn’t it. MSL persisted, insisting I inspect the suspected and obvious location of the cache and the anomaly was found. Unable to retract the cache, the CO was contacted and said that we’d indeed found it and was happy for us to log it. TFTC!
DNF with LittleBoss2 after a night at Fish Creek. On our way home via Leongatha. Thanks again stammily, but too good for us today
Found with icw who is a lot taller than me. After looking in some likely places I suggested a type of hide I had found before and that was the answer. Tftc.
After a few days on Phillip Island, I’m heading towards Leongatha and gathering some caches along the way. Found this quickly but glad there was nobody near TFTC Stammily
What a stinker of a hot day.... take 2 at finding a cache and playground in the shade. No luck here with the playground however cache was found and signed.

Found at 2:47 PM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob.
Now that was a spot that I was totally ignoring for a T of just 1.5. That turned out to be a T of at least a 2.0 or even a 2.5!
You have to consider the average height of people!
Thanks Stammily.

Found by David in company with pprass at 14:50. Mary and cprass took the day off to check out the local shops. At GZ we saw some evidence that pointed to the location and nature of the hide. Nicely done. Our thanks to Stammily.

This one resulted in a good search of the area and nothing could be seen. I tried another tact and sure enough was straight onto it.
Log signed and all back safe as found.
Well done and thanks Stammily

Family day out caching and we selected the Koonwarra rail trail as the destination. After hitting the FTF, we enjoyed walking about 5 kilometres from Koonwarra and back.
Once we had all had enough, except the geopuppy, we headed back to Leongatha for some dinner. After collecting it, we drove here to eat it. Unlike last time we were here, we had the place to ourselves. After finishing our food, this time 999HK and myself strolled over to the GZ. With me following the GPS incorrectly, 999HK said "I bet it's here" but she was wrong. However the second time she said it, she was absolutely right.
Thanks for the cache Stammily

First thing on the agenda after arriving in Leongatha was lunch. With that done it was back into the caching, this being the first
Spent quite a bit of time looking in the wrong place until finall widening the search and finding it.
It has been a while since we have neen able to get out caching. What with Covid lockdowns, then Mrs SKI breaking her ankle, and Rebel being out of action we have had quite a gap.
But today everything came together. The weather was lovely and everyone was available to head out.
We had noticed a number of new caches had popped up in the Leongatha area, so that added to a few high D/T rated caches in the area was enough to have us heading in that direction.
A successful day was had with only one DNF and as usual plenty of laughs and banter.
All logs either signed as SKI Pair or RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair)
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cacheStammily.

The easing of Covid19 travel restrictions, gave us the perfect opportunity to team up with Suscoe and spend a couple of days caching in sunny South Gippsland, including this find on our mostly "Gatha Day"
We were looking for something a bit bigger here, luckily the recent logs put us on the right track.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** The container we found did not match the cache size of 'Small'.
Thanks Stammily for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern were caching in the Leongatha area today.
It was a delightful day with plenty of sunshine.

Tftc Stammily Totally coincidentally someone else is on the hunt here todayand has found it b4 me. Luckily I've come across this sort of hide before. Nice precinct here - I recall playing 3rds football here in 1974, later umpiring here in 1993.

10 May 2021 12:11 pm Out and about caching with Gonefishen07. It's been way too long between caches. Thanks Stammily for the cache.
Found with Hearse068 on a day out caching around town. OMG I’ve nearly forgot what to do it’s been that long been drinks so to speak. We had lots of fun hanging out like we use to. Thank you so much for taking the time to place this cache it was very enjoyable. TFTC took a minute to locate nicely done was a little hard to open but lucky we are strong
I don’t know how long this one stared me in the face. If inanimate things could laugh, I’m sure I would’ve heard a chuckle. Thank you for the cache!
Well that's a cracker really liked this cache signed and replaced...TFTC stammilys
Quick little find in a beautiful Park. I think we puzzled some bootcamp participants.
Not sure if this cache was set exactly as it was meant to be but tried to leave it in the best position possible. Slightly wet inside but still signable.

A trip down to Fish Creek for a few days.
I was a bit early, so stopped for a few on the way after I was out of the Big Smoke.
A couple of people in the park here, but GZ was in the bushes out of their view.
Been a while since I have seen one of these hides - very nice.
Thanks, Robmc.

Needing a spot to park for lunch we chose this reserve as there was a bonus cache for us to find afterwards. Mrs P had the keen eyes to spot this one, fortunately I knew how to get the cache having seen a few of these clever hide types before. Nice to pick up some new hides since our last visit to town two years ago. Thx again Stammily.

This cache was tricky. It took me a while to locate it until I read the hint. Even then it took a while to find. Then I carefully replaced it while I signed the log to make sure I didn’t loose it. However once signed it took me ages to get container back in my hand to replace the log because it didn’t have enough weight to return it to my hand. After what seemed ages I finally managed to coax it back to my reach and complete the job. I loved the clever placement. I’m looking forward to finding the rest in this series.
Tassie expat and I saw this series had come up and made the (regional) drive up to make a day of it. I particularly liked this one, it was a bit different. Thanks.
Out with frmen1 on our COVID restrictions observed geo-hunt. Our plan was to target this series for today and that will leave the rest of Leo for another day. I'd been previously to this playground for a cache of old. This one was more imaginative. Easier with two people. TFTC
The weather was looking good and I needed to get out of the house, with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed out to explore Kurumburra and Leongatha armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches I found today. I was glad that most of these were far enough away from the playgrounds, some great hides.
Thanks Stammily for the cache.

WOW. WOW. WOW. Definitely a favourite point from us! Really love the design and you don’t fail to amaze me with your caches! Loving this series TFTC Stammily

Dad and I were off to get some
FTFS today. We didn't want to hog all 11 of them,so we weren't sure if we would get them all or just couple. When we arrived at the first cache we happened to bumb into KBUCKY who was also out to get some FTFS. So when dad went back to work KBUCKY took me on a mission to get all 11 FTFS in then the end 11 joint FTFS
Awsome park series from Stamily

Ftf with skunk junior (skunk028). Wow, what a day! Starting the day painting window frames but saw there were many new gc’s in town. So I dropped everything and bolted to McIndoe Park with skunk028 arriving at the same time. Decided to join forces and ended up exploring Leongatha’s playgrounds with the best geocaching company. Congrats to Stammily for a fabulous gc marathon with lots of creative, fun, and some challenging hides.
This one, number 4, is definitely our favourite
