Forgot pen photo proof! Very clever and much easier to find after some maintenance in area
After quite a while with not checking,we checked the cache today and it is still in place.
A fab day to be out exploring on the bikes. Looked in a few places before Kimbathelion spotted this one. Tftc
Wasn't sure what the hint meant until we found it. Had a look in a few places before we found it. Beautiful day to be out on the bikes. Tftc
Woke to a fantastic spring morning so off on our bikes to remove another dot day from the calendar. Great views from the top of this old Pa site. Thanks for the placement.
Swapped sodden log with water proof sheet.

Cycleway really busy today, so it was nice to have a place off the track to ourselves. Thought it would be difficult with all the DNFs but we had a good, quick find. Cache is all good. Earns a fave from us. TFTC

This cache had almost turned into our nemesis as we had been meaning to, and meaning to, and meaning to collect it when in the area but always seemed to run out of time! Today was the day though - we were staying overnight locally house/pet sitting for the eldest daughter so we had no excuse to finally put this one to bed. Mr Geckoh took a moment to spot the cache, concealed as it was and what a cute little surprise awaiting us. Worth a favourite point. Thanks for your efforts with this hide. TFTC

We made it back to search for this and chose a beaut of a day. A lot has grown around gz since we last looked...and it made the search a wee bit harder. Were tired after our walk and trying to keep naughty pup in line and were close to giving up when we had some encouragement from a passerby. Seconds later we had our hands on it and what a relief! Weren't too keen to walk the track again just for one.
Yipee! Fantastic view from up here and seeing the developments for the new road. Thanks

Unfortunately wasn’t able to find the geocache. Will have to come back another day.
GPS and hint led us to where it surely must be, but after many minutes searching still could not find ️
While in Lockdown on one of my walks I discovered this spot. Sitting across the other side I noticed people on top of the hill. Check my geocache app and saw this cache. Dam you can get up there. So I went up and enjoyed the view. Today I came back to find the cache. No one around unlike the last time I was here. It was busy as. So could hunt around uninterrupted. Saw the DNFs but also saw that it was confirmed still here. Hunted around for a bit and funny the spot both me and hubby had look it was there all along. Lol. Can see why it would be miss. Enjoyed both my visits here. Good spot to bring people. Tftc.
Hi all. The "not so wee one anymore" and I checked the cache this morning and all is well. Cheers
Had a good look all thru the much overgrown and dilapidated ‘house’ but could not find.
Hey,can I have a hint I’m not seeing any camouflage house or secret hidden door anywhere, does it have something to do with the 3 piles of wood or this pile of gravel
Please give me a hint(s)

Found this one a few weeks ago. Didn’t know the area existed. Went biking with friends the cache owners. A couple of clues for the little ones and soon had goods in hand. Beaut views from the top here!
Time for a walk and the weather is good and not too hot Decided to park at Westridge as I always enjoy the bridge. I had been watching this hill as I drove the road and so great to see all the work that has been done. What a bonus to this already great area for bikers, runners and walkers. Took a little while to spot this cache and yes I had already looked here but with good coords and extra look was required and rewarded Thanks for bring img me here TFTC
I'd just finished work and heard DavidsonClan was in town clearing up some caches. We arranged to meet up at the lakes and at some stage ended up here. I'd been wanting to venture the Puketoromiro Pa site for a while and now there's a cache and a reason! The walk was a tad longer then I anticipated and the cache took far longer then it should have given it's size. Even a PAF didn't help a lot - got it in the end though, after all we weren't leaving without it. Cheers tina.pete & TFTC

Out for an adventure with two of the kids. After we finished out at Te Puna quarry and Plummers point we headed towards Tauriko and caught up with Philip.Perry to clear this area. This took us a while to find and we had to call a previous finding to get help. Philip found it in the end.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), the nieces, and the dog... School holidays are upon us. We missed our weekly walk yesterday because of bad weather. The pestering to make up for it began early, and didn’t let up until we were in the car and on our way...
Our last cache for the day... Pa restorations seem to have become quite popular these days, and some sites should be opened to the public. At Puketoromiro, it is possible to see the landscape as Maori may have seen it - With a commanding view up and down the Kopurererua Valley. An amazing view, but those stairs are narrow and pitched oddly...
We arrived to find ground zone has been hammered. A small blockhead toy in the debris caused us to think the cache may have been muggled. However, a more thorough search netted a result. A favourite for bringing us here... Thanks tina.pete and TFTC.

After a few caches in Tauriko, decided to take the scenic route and walk out here. I needed the exercise and, if the walk didn't do it, the climb certainly did. The hide had me stumped for a while and the storm seemed to be returning so I called a friend and the cache, which was about 10cm from where I'd been looking was soon found and signed. Now for a good walk back to Tauriko. I hope the storm holds off. TFTC.
{FTF} 10.25am. Had lots of chores this morning. Took car in for service then over to the mount. Saw local cachers logging my new hides so took the opportunity to park in Westridge in my way home and a quick walk over the bridge. Been eyeing up this spot for ages. Cheers guys. Ps. No lid on outer container.
Great place for a cache...looked at the cache after lunch and still not logged...Out in the sun we go, well I sure made that hard for my self...there is always two options and I picked the most steps version...as soon as I arrived at GZ I new I was in second place.after a short search the little hiding hole was located, with a nicely themed container thanks tina&pete for this tidy cache in a worthy location
We considered this cache this morning after the Tauriko caches but couldn't decide on the quickest entry point and time was running out before my appointment. This afternoon we had more time so made a bit of a walk of it. It's great to see this part of history told. What a lot of steps constructed (and walked up!). It obviously was and is a great vantage point. When we arrived at the correct altitude we could see that there had been previous activity. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here Tina.pete.
