rxrica and I were in the area grabbing a few caches. This was our first find.Just as we arrived, we were bailed by a worried lady about her missing hound, Luna. Apparently, Luna and her pup decided to make a break for it and had been detected via an airtag in the area. She asked if we could keep an eye out for the pups. No Luna and pup for us today. We pulled up and this one and made our way into the bush. rxrica was not sure we should go into the bush. I assured it was a-okay. I soon found the prize. It was a little damp but still very usable. I rehid everything as found.A great little spot for a cache. TFTC TBU2Uwe001 Smile

You just have to love a south east Queensland winter, whilst the mornings can be cool the days are often bright and pleasing and a trip out into the nearby country side to hint caches is a lovely way to spend a morning.

After finding an appropriate spot to park the geowagon, I walked over to collect the prize. It was soon found, log extracted and signature added before returning safely for the next cacher to find.

Very pleased to be able to turn this cache into a yellow smilie and off of search of my next adventure.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

Cheers

A micro in the bush is always a hard find. Every tree, stump and log has to be searched from every angle. In the end the slow methodical search did reward us with a cleverly hidden container.

We took a stroll here today targeting a nearby letterbox for a challenge but couldn’t get so close to this one without finding it as well. It was lovely, bright and crisp on this winter’s day, just perfect for exploring this area. Unfortunately the log was saturated and moldy. TFTC TBU2Uwe001

I was out for an afternoon of fun with IolantheK and found a few caches while I was at it Razz We started off with the adventure lab at Kumbartcho and then headed out to Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park. We had a good time visiting the various cache locations.

Thank you TBU2Uwe001 for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Big Grin

After some fun at Kumbartcho, Just a Trifle and I headed north to track down the new caches here around Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park.

At our previous stop we were only 1.4 kms from this one, but to drive the cars around meant 11kms! Neither of us minded as we could head home in different directions from there anyway. A pleasant walk followed by a short bush bash had us at GZ and we made a surprisingly quick find. A good way to finish off our day. TFTC, TBU2Uwe001.

We were enjoying our walk and this hide was the next to be attempted.
Invested time at the GZ before we located the cache container.
Thanks for a well placed, sneaky hide.

Hoping to be redeemed by Christ at this cache, Wombles and I made our way to GZ past the yappy dogs. On the way, we saw a small flock of Double-barred finches. They are so adorable, we could hear their cute little twitters before they flittered in front of us. Arriving where we needed to be it didn't take long until Wombles had the beasty in hand.

Thanks for the cache TBU2Uwe001 Big Grin

It was like Dejavu, driving back down the same road and parking in the same spot. The cache was slightly different to what we were expecting though.
No muggles about out here today, very peaceful.

Sunday. Slow Puncture were out early today, collecting some caches to fulfil a souvenir challenge. Luckily we’d left enough near home that would use for this purpose. We headed along the path and as Mr SP walked on a few more steps, one of us was on the ball and I couldn’t believe it when I turned around and spotted the cache right off! Yay. Wow, now that is a well hidden cache container. I called Mr SP over who still couldn’t spot it, even when I was pointing right at it. Could have made it a long day... Razz

This was the 5th of 7 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***TBU2Uwe001*** for showing us this place Razz

After a DNF up the track, I was brimming with confidence... however this was a quick find... I did just pass a power walker on the way out... some people are just plain crazy...

07-Aug-20
Wandered down the track and then turned into the bush and arrived at my GZ, stopped and thought where shall I search. Would you believe it, I spotted it about two feet away, great coords.

After seeing that this cache had not been found, I decided to come have a look. Spent a while searching, but in the end came back to the first place my GPS had directed me to, turns out I just didn't search well enough Cool. Glad to be first name on the log, turns out there were others not far behind me.

Today after work I decided to stay in the area and designate the rest of the day for caching. I saw that their was a new AL series nearby so I decided to get started on that and grab any other caches as I travelled to complete that. My morning started in Morayfield and I made my way through Upper Caboolture and ended up in Rocksberg. I've never ventured out this way before, so it was great to come to a new place and enjoy the scenery.

I carried onto this one with the CO, but I went ahead of them so I could find this one myself. I found the container in the first place I checked and it was nicely hidden to. I signed and handed it over the the CO so they could sign to.

Find #1151 - TFTC

Great walk down the path a bit I saw this one come out on Sunday and it's not far from home but decided to leave it as trying to do the cache a day challenge. We have a few days to complete for thus month but after a maintenance RUN close by, I figured we might as well grab it as it made 3600 total and I like round numbers. Thanks to the hint it didn't take long to find tftc

04-Aug-20
After this cache had couple of finders, I thought it's time for me to find it too.

Met on the track Geonafe, whilst our grandson was taking his remote controlled monstertruck for a drive in forest conditions.
