#14837 14:25After the SideTracked event at Glenbrook, we continued our geocaching tour around the lower Blue Mountains. OCW GoogleHiHi, Brewmaker and Everest High.TFTC thomo31
Found the stump and the camo and the cache. Nice area. I like this bird. TFTC
Fancy that, another cache I drove right past when I was up here in the Bluies last week. This time I parked the geomobile in Haymet Street and followed the track from there. Well I didn't know this lagoon existed! What a lovely spot.Along the track I found a sign explaining previous use of this area of land and the creation of the lagoon. It was very interesting. Found the cache then walked down to the lagoon, and there they were, a flock of 6 Purple Swamphens!I wonder if this area would interest our BNSW outing group?TFTC # 6161
Saw Darter, Cormorant, Black Duck, Wood Duck and of course a Purple Swamphen on the way to the cache. TFTC.
Alot of memories coming back parking in here at this old hang-out.Really enjoyed the walk over to GZ, the lagoon was looking great.I like swamphens we have heaps near home down the south coastThanks for the cache
First one for 2024 and first find for newly minted Geokid. Happy New Year and TFTC!
Nice find to keep my streak of 109 consecutive days unbroken. Off to work, TFTC
Took a little while to find the right stump, but sort of a quickish one after looking at the hint
Stopped by after attending an event at Faulconbridge this morning and enjoyed the stroll via the lagoon to GZ. Didn't see any swamphens on the foreshore, perhaps because there were quite a few muggles (and their kids/dogs) in the picnic area, but certainly had no problems spotting the cache at GZ thanks to the generous hint.
Thanks for placing this cache thomo31 and for bringing me to a nice spot that I didn't know existed.

A nice walk to GZ. Quick find TNLN. We enjoyed the views of the lagoon from the nearby picnic area, thanks.

Great cache in a nice spot near the lake, even though the weather hasn't been the greatest. TFTC.
This was a nice easy find to introduce my friends to this awesome activity
TFTC. Left a few small goodies.

Tftc. Should have worn gumboots to this one. The ground is sodden. Cache and log are dry.
#8795 (8 of 11 today - including 1 Adventure Lab)
I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to two months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES!
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Anything interesting from my day will be added here - don't hold your breath.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Anything specific to this find will be added here - really, DO NOT hold your breath.

How funny, my daughter found it as I was about to read the hint. Now covered with a little more camo. TFTC
Cache check while walking around the Lagoon today. Put log book in new plastic bag to keep it dry!

We stopped at the lagoon for a picnic lunch, and looked to see if there were any newish caches nearby. This one was only 55m from where we were sitting, so it was our post-lunch walk.
While we were eating we spotted a purple swamp hen wandering around the tables. Then what we think could be a butcherbird landed next to us. Add in the ducks and this turned out to be a good bird spotting spot!
Cache was a quick find. I was guided by the garden gnome I saw in the distance. Turned out he was guarding GZ. I presume he was a GCA moveable?

Up visiting the in-laws and we decided to take a walk to see the ducks with the kids. The water hens are very tame and came right up to us. A quick side walk and we spotted the cache. TFTC
A nice walk around the lagoon to find this cache. Plenty of the said bird ( swamp hen) so good day out. Tftc
Found it but wasn't able to unscrew it no matter how hard we tried. Fun find regardless. Thanks!
MrT did a bike ride to check on the cache. Container is all good. Lid is ok. Left a couple of our pathtags.
Was looking a bit far up initially but once I found the stump it was an easy find tftc!!
Awesome spot to hide it! This was a fun search for our 9 year old explorer. Thank you!
Easy little park and grab on a beautiful autumnal day. The cache is in good condition, signed and replaced. Thanks for placing the cache
A early rise and drive to get to the Penrith lakes parkrun, then some nice caching on the other side of the Nepean River. First Glenbrook and then Lennox Bridge.
