A big wander for me today. We are staying in Hampden for a few days and I looked at this area on the geo map and saw loads worthy of a 4ish hour walk. The tracks are a mixed bag but mostly good and clear thanks to who ever comes in with a chainsaw to chop up the fallen trees after strong winds.Just be careful of all the wild blackberry vines everywhere - just a few ripe for the picking today - yum.Last one all tucked away hereTFTC
Found this one after some digging around the surrounding area. There was a bit of water in the container but the log was dry. TFTC
Looking for the hint item... Then bingo I saw it hiding in the bushes.. cheers for the smiley
Found nicely tucked away in perfect condition. Thank you for placing these caches, Robert, that kept me entertained for the day
The road is closed at precisely GZ. "No Public Access" sign and tape across the road says "Logging Operations". But able to grab this OK. Love the Reliant 3-wheeler just up the road that has been made into an Only Fools and Horses replica. TFTC.
Last one for the day, 3 out of 4 not bad.

Short walk from car park after doing the Podocarp track. A bit if excavation needed but all ok.
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.
Enjoyed the trip around and the challenge of the finds.

Having finished the north island section of the Te Araroa at the beginning of the year ,I am now section walking the south island...the original plan was to do the aruhiri to Wanaka stage over the next few days but the weather has put a stop to that so onto plan B..tiki tour around the area knocking of a few caches as I go...

A quick easy find before starting a pleasant walk through the forest. We initially found the old cache, and signed it (again!), then as we replaced it, discovered the new cache, so signed that also. TFTC
We a;; congregated around GZ, (some drove there, some walked there) and stood and watched i-gotit head into the bush looking for the hint object. In short order she emerged carrying not one but two containers. So got two bonuses without the hard work (although we did complete the loop).
I walked down to this one, not wanting to muddy the vehicle. Picked the wrong hint object, i-gotit picked the next one and there was a bonus here with 2 caches to sign. Excellent!
Because this was on the drive into the car park we decided to do the walk and then pick this up on the way out so we did the work except for looking for any codes. It was nice to find the extra bonus. thanks for all these caches. A great excuse for a walk.
Sent the scouts out to cast around for the cache while the rest of us watched to see who would surface with the goods. I wonder what the nice men cutting firewood 50m further along the road thought when a line of cars blocked the road to watch as others dived into the bush and re-emerge a few minutes later smiling.
Back at the car, boots off, this one's a drive-by. A line of three cars all stopped here and a line of geocachers watching I-gotit search. She came up with a cache... and a bonus? So some signed one, and some signed two...

About to go out biking when some caches started to arrive but they were all further north so waited a bit longer and some more some what closer so we were off. Six cars in the park must busy. Cache soon located. TFTC
