We have moved to the Redlands Bay area staying for a few days to catch up with the family.Today we headed out to do the NN series & others that we pass along the way.So glad it was Sunday as it was quite light with traffic. This was the last of our trail, so took the opportunity to grab a few groceries while we were here. Thanks for placing this cache RoddyC
Nasty nanos indeed .. !! I think they are my least favourite cache hides, but I needed a large Wherigo to complete a challenge I signed off a few days ago, so it was time to bite the bullet and make a start on this trail today, whilst doing the Wherigo at the same time, which was a bit challenging itself on the GC app.Luckily this first one was reasonably quickly found. TFTC
Nice quick find. Log signed and returned to where I found it.Thank you RoddyC for placing this cache.
This was a part of town that I hadnt visited before and I wasnt up with the local customs and languages. The one thing that caught me by surprise was the sign not to smoke on the toilet.I dont want to descent into discussion about toilet hobbies, so I will. I know people are creatures of habit and do some strange things when sitting on the loo. Some like to do crosswords, others read the paper or worse play on their phone. Still as yet I havent thought about lighting up a durry when Im squeezing out a King Henry.I had to sit back and think about what I actually do when Im sitting on the toilet. Im guilty of sitting there daydreaming, but as yet havent lit up a bunger for a few puffs. I might have to try it. tftc
Regarding our Underwood Road E-bike ride, baby Cottontail and I departed from Runcorn Plaza on Warrigal Road just after 11:45 hr, and we turned around at [The Little Things - NN#11](https://coord.info/GC8C8PW) on Rochedale Road. We cycled a total distance of 12.1 km across an elevation of 156 m, with a moving time of 1:00 hr, and elapsed time of 2:40 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/11279950900). We also detoured to nearby parks and geocaches that were along the way, and overall, it was a fun adventure.*The Start* was unsurprisingly the first geocache stop of our ride, and despite its evil size, it was a quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [RoddyC](https://coord.info/PRC80AY) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, baby Cottontail and I packed our bicycle, targeting the *Nasty Nanos of Underwood Road* series in Underwood and Rochedale South, aka [Ugo's Nasty Nano Twist](https://coord.info/GCABTJK).We initially detoured through Sunnybank and visited a few geocaches and playgrounds, before grabbing morning tea (coffee) at Cream House Caf in Sunnybank Hills, which was an unexpected delight with an indoor soft play area! We then parked in Runcorn Plaza, and cycled along Underwood Road starting from Warrigal Road. After Cottontail's nap, we visited a few remaining caches in the Rochedale South area before returning home for the day.
Im sure I started this particular journey once before but somehow failed to get very far. Today I returned and did it all again.Always a little wary of sticking my fingers into spaces, I took the chance here and immediately produced the nano. All good inside and plenty of spaces left so TFTC.
Doing these in a weird order! Mr b parked up dodgy so Mrs P could jump out to grab this one.Thank you RoddyC for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5064
Today I spent a lovely rainy Saturday afternoon knocking over the Nasty Nano series. A great variety of hides and very well maintained caches. I had no problems at all and managed to find 15/15. Unfortunately the Wherigo was playing up and reset itself after NN6 (I went back and started again) and then again after NN13, so I gave up and will have to come back and try it again another time. I suspect that switching between apps was too much for my phone's memory capacity (which is currently overloaded with geocaching photos).A nice easy one to start off with. I had to wait forever for a break in the traffic to grab it and return it. Apparently everyone in the whole suburb needs to buy groceries this afternoon. Thanks for the cache RoddyC!
Thanks for the cache. Signed and placed back where found. Looks to be in good condition
Happy Australia day. Thought wed work on a few local ones today. Knock off Underwood Road. Thanks Roddy C for the Hides
Found it! So glad I didnt end up looking like I was tampering with sprinklers.
What a wonderful idea (we think maybe) for a series, we have a love/hate relationship with these cache container types !!!Slowly chipped away at the series over a few days at the end of each work day, and happy to report all nasty nanos have been found, logsheets tweezered out, unrolled, signed, rerolled and tightly squeezed back into place, TFTC and the series RoddyC, well done !!!
Looked at the app while sitting waiting for the Princesses bus to arrive, I decided to see if there was something close so we could grab Blue Switch Day.There was so when the bus came in we shot off to get the smiley TFTC Roddy a nice quick one got the Team. Cheers from the Jester Kiwi and the Princess
TUFTC. A nice quick one to find after work. Was not planning on caching and was dressed in my work clothes but once my Geostepdad showed me his gzing, I did not have a choice. Only one left for us and the series will be completed. Hopefully that will be soon.
Arrived for the meeting early after getting lost and ending up at the wrong maccas. I headed to this cache. Not a NN at all. Nice quick find. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks RoddyC. All good with this cache.
Thanks for the placement. Found in plain sight. Thanks for the opportunity to discover coffee buns - soo yum.
Nearing the end of a wonderful day out picking up caches on the north side I headed past a few in this series before making the dash back to the north side for a well earnt ale.
Cheers

I decided to treat myself to a day of Geocaching as I start working on Monday. I underestimated the heat! Oh my word - it's hot out there. Lathered on the sunscreen, donned the cap and off I went. Didn't get as far as would like, but loved being outdoors.
The little cache is sneaky but not too difficult to find.
Thanks for the cache

Solo outing on the southside. Found it but no log located. Photo sent to CO as proof of find. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Do I hate nanos? No. Do I like nanos? Also no. Let’s see how many I can find. Off to a good start!
Took me a while totally thrown off by the gps but my trusty phone came in hand. Tftc
Was having a little trouble with this guy, so just stopped looking, sat down and it was found very quickly. Thanks for placing.
Love them or hate them they are part of the game. Thanks for the series. I completed it backwards but I’ve never done anything the right way

I was on a mission today to complete as many nasty nano finds along this trail as I could all whilst attempting to complete the Wherigo. Seriously, it’s only the start of Spring… why is it so hot!
I definitely tend to avoid nanos but I could resist doing this loooong trail.
The first one of the day had me surprised! I definitely didn’t expect it to be such an easy find. I was motivated and eager to find the rest after this one in hopes they’d all be as simple as this.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this geocache RoddyC!

Out for the day with crew after several weeks away.. first find if many today!
Found with Peppa and 2manytrailer. First one for the day. Hopefully we'll pick up a few more today ️
Having a few hours to kill we thought we'd have a crack at cleaning up a few as yet unfound 'local' caches.
Haha!
Trust us to start at the finish & finish at the start!
Our window of opportunity to find a few caches was rapidly closing as we were booked in to be our youngest grand-daughter's Uber today so this will be our last for the day.
A nice quick find once Mrs VC found her focus.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Found in between people coming and going. Now after my long walk getting a lot of these, I am going to charge my phone.
I had dropped off my wife for some medical tests and had enough time to check out a few of the series.
A quick find.

TFTC Quick easy find today, thanks
Grateful thanks to CO for placing and maintaining the caches to entertain me on my journey.

After a lunch break, I realised I may have just enough time to squeeze these Nasty Nanos in before heading back to Toowoomba. I was even more sure after I made a quick find on this one, this thought did change after one or two more. TFTC RoddyC
After an early morning start on the Gold Coast for a CITO, I made a special detour to do a Wherigo on my way to the Mega event and I couldn't leave these nasty nanos stranded at each WP I was visiting.
Nice quick and easy one to get me started.

This morning I met up with joojoo57, Richmond Lad and Aussie Liahona for some puzzle solving, but as always we started our day off with some geocaching! The hitlist for today is the Nasty Nano series and its Wherigo.
This one was a quick find, then we headed to the start of the Wherigo. TFTC, RoddyC.

Out and about caching with geo friends and this was undertaken while doing the NN Traditional Caches. A warmer day however this did not stop us gathering all the caches and additional information for the WhereIgo. TFTC RoddyC.
Completing the Nasty Nano Trail today as well as doing the associated wherigo. Some hides took some searching while others were super quick finds. We liked the way the wherigo information could be found close to a nasty nano - thanks RoddyC.
Parked close by and we were able to make a pretty quick find here and the log was signed JIRA for our little geocaching adventure group today to be careful with log space. Thanks for this NN series RoddyC. We actually got a few of them in February last year but haven't been back caching in this area since then so we were happy to come today and do the Wherigo while finding these NN's.
Cheers and happy caching!
Cheers and happy caching!
Today after the CITO I decided to stay in the southern area and continue on this series and do the WhereIGo. I started on the Eastern ones a while back and today I completed finding the caches using my bike.
Thanks for the cache and nice little series.

Out for a quick cruise on the geocycle and a WIG as a bonus. I have done a few of these a long time ago. The first run was a group effort after an event. Then I had a few pedal bys during lock down doing my daily exercise.
Easy enough to do this one between passing tin boxes.

TFTC. Didn’t find it first time went back and with some fantastic help found it. Log signed and returned as found.
I started at the wrong end some time ago now... and then realised there was a Whereigo attached to the series... so today I’ve finally made it back to start both... you know the good thing about new nano logs... you don’t have to spend 30 minutes rewinding the things... now if I could only get the Wherigo to work...
Found quickly by Miss10. Now hopefully we can work out what to do with the Whereigo. Log paper full.
Lots of muggles here.found it o.k. note log book is full, sorry did not have a spare book to fit.. Tftc
Out with Gunnie69 on a rainy Saturday morning. Us cachers were undeterred by the lure of finding caches in the wet! First one up and I hopped out to make the find here. On ward we went. TFTC
A very damp morning in Bris-Vegas, but with a plan hatched to glean the Nasty Nano's and work through the associated WIG cartridge with NurseyJulie this morning, cache we did, no matter the weather.
After securing the Makku Mob final location, we set off along Underwood Rd, figuring we would sort the straight line ot first. That worked very well for us and we knocked them off in no time at all.
The beauty of people in both front seats, is that you can dispatch the apt side to snare the cache and for this one, NJ did the honours. Off and racing, the rest awaited.
Cheers RoddyC.

Finally completing the NN series tonight. Have been saving the last these for a day when I would need them, that was today.
This was an easy find but my pen did not like the log paper, managed to scribble something.
Thank you RoddyC

With a couple of free hours we came out today to see if we could have a go at the Wherigo that links along the way with this set of Nanos.
We may have bitten off more than we could chew in one session, given a couple of time restraints however manage to make our way about halfway along the road. If there’s time later today we can always head back.
Yep, nanos are not our favourites, but this was a quick find and we appreciated the clever hide. We found it in a logical place.
Nice to have this series along the way Wherigo.
Thanks RoddyC

Found while on an aborted attempted at the whereigo. Cache found without issue. Very hot outside - must be a madwoman geocaching in this weather.

Quick find. Log is getting full but a few spaces left.
Final day of a trip to the Gold Coast with barb2e. Today was picking up Queens Land before doing some local ones, dropping Barb2e off and heading north to drop the car. And another fabulous day to be out and about. TFTC RoddyC

Out today with Selva Girls on the Southside to grab a few caches. The main one for today was wherigo, of course we grab a few caches as we pass.
I found 20 caches and 5 waypoints for today. We went home when a large storm around us.
Sorry for the generic post.

Out with Brislions, finding a few caches. The nearby WhereIGo was our main target for the day. Naturally, we found other caches along the way. This cache was quickly located and our names added to the log. TFTC

Thank you, RoddyC, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

I reached for where I thought the cache would be and a lizard leapt out at me. CaptainVimes did the signing while I addressed the Wherigo. Thanks for the cache
Thabks RoddyC. this was the last one i attempted. will be back to do the wherigo one day
Spending the morning south of the river picking up some solved puzzles and other interesting hides. Followed the trail of tears.... err, the nano trail while juggling the wherigo and recording info, boy wish I had a secretary today!
While it's well known that I consider nanos to be the lowest on the food chain of container types, I was willing to give this a red hot go and see if maybe that could change. All nanos signed in the series signed OC in the first available spot.
A nano to me does serve a purpose, it is the container of choice for extremely high muggle areas (think CBD at peak hour). Recently on an outback trip I found myself screaming WHYYYYY!!! into the vast nothingness after finding nanos on the back of every sign with not a soul for miles. Then there's the frustrated fumbling and dropping of the tiny bits and log, trying to find a spot to sign as the log fills up pretty quickly and many COs don't maintain them so well, then having to roll up the thing and fit it back in the container. OK enough meaningless whinging! Of course my opinion is just that, and probably not shared to others.

. After work I decided to take my bike for a ride and find a few caches. All up 18caches and 8km. Amongst them I found a few in my car. This nano series I drove to and found a park nearby. I did not realise there is a wherigo involved with this series so will have to come back. So many cars so i grabbed the nano and walked a little out of the way to sign. Log book was nice and easy to roll back up. Happy with this nano. Thanks for the fun
Remembering at the last minute that I needed a traditional today, I was lucky that this one is super close to work. Quickly stopped in and made a nice quick find while there was a gap in traffic. Of course the pen didn’t work so I grabbed another from the car (I mean who doesn’t have loads of backups) and made the required mark. Replaced as found and off I went. Thanks for the cache RoddyC!
