I'll make this one a note for the moment as I couldn't see the recent replacement.I left another cache but if the replacement is found I'll delete this log.TFTC
A nice few hours caching west/southwest of Riverton searching for any caches not previously found by us.We spent several minutes here searching for what is apparently a tricky little hideour first cache for the day.and starting with a DNF. No luck for us, but what a delight to read the landowners (samjohndeere8200) log on 13/8/22 which says he found this cache on his property boundary.his one and only find. He tells of a well known past resident which was fascinating tooMany thanks for the hide anyway Hurtle
Thanks to Kezzbear this is back in play. Still hard to believe this would be muggled! Anyways, great work. And great photo too!
I spent a good half hour and used elevation equipment coz I am short and had no luck. I found sticks, pulled, twisted and stroked sticks and shone the torch and camera into every crevice. No luck for me today.
I think this catche is no more. I went to check on it & its not where it was when I found it a few years ago ago
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Nuriootpa to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Drizzly day but the farmers definitely need it. Sneaky hide. Thanks Hurtle
Too devious for us today..maybe well pass by another time and have another try. Wonderful views. Thanks anyway
Today I headed out for my second day of caching back in Adelaide for the Mega. Allisterw was our chauffeur and JJ52 was the brains behind solved puzzles. We had a wonderful day out, the weather was splendid, lots of fun and a tasty bakery lunch. What more could any cacher want? Day only marred by one dnf and around 29 physical caches found. My thanks to all the hiders for contributing to this hobby of mine without you my life would be so dull! This was quite the devious hide but Allisterw made light work of it. TFTC
After a full day at and around the Mega another day was planned with allister w and Michells&hound while she was back from Tasmania for a few days. The plan was that we would head up to Kapunda via an Adventure Lab in Gawler then picking up caches that we all hadn't found. We had a great day driving some cool tracks and finding caches in out of the way places. We even had time for a nice bakery lunch in Kapunda.I love driving around on these dirt roads/tracks and coming across ruins where I often wonder about the history and what stories could be told. I took a photo while Allister found the cache. Thanks for the cache Hurtle.
Found it! Took much longer than it should have but got there in the end! Nice hide, nice location on a nice morning before a hot day. Favourite point here. TFTC!
Having spent a good part of the day in the mallee near Blanchetown and heading over to Wool Bay for the next few nights, I planned a route westwards to find some of the off-the-beaten-track caches along the way. Enjoyed the tour of the back-roads as I meandered my way across during the course of the afternoon. Thanks for the cache Hurtle!
I didn’t quite make it home yesterday and stayed with a friend in Tarlee before having another attempt at getting to my home base today . It seems caching extends one’s travel day
I awoke with the plan to go to Stockport, Hamley Bridge and head to the city but as always, that changed!
It’s a great view from here I can even see the old farmhouse where I grew up in the distance.

Another cache hunt on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Out and about along the back roads again enjoying the scenery. A great hide here. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-tour. We have enjoyed our time in SA, but it is time to slowly make our way back West again.

Hi. I am the landowner and stumbled across this by chance after watching a Facebook video, downloading the app then discovering there was a pin on my property.
Please admire the house from the roadside. The house was last lived in by Glen Dix, famous for waving the checkered flag at the Adelaide Grand Prix formula 1, in the 1950s. It was then left alone and finally destroyed in the 2015 Pinery bushfire. There was talk in our family to build it into a b&b but after the fire came through it then would cost too much and so it sits how it is. (No it isn’t for sale)

slowly working through this series. quick find.
found with Mogni. Headed out in the general direction of clare and planned to clean out clare before the June Long Weekend End Event in 2022. As usual there was ALOT of caches found before then and only a couple of caches where found in clare before staying in Farrel Flat for the night. The next day was cleaning out Burra and slowly making our way home. Damn doing multi's takes so long, since the final has a habit of not being in the direction you are planning to go next. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and logs found wet where replaced, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

It was school holidays and I needed a break from school and chores and needed to just have some fun. I talked sir_spectre into joining me for a weekend away caching near Clare and Burra. We avoided the big towns and focused on the caches we normally drive past on the way to somewhere else. Any caches that needed some attention got it.
Thanks to Hurtle from mogni

Full time nomads exploring SA. Today we moved up to Mallala, then headed out to grab a few newer caches since we were last here. Also managed to change 2 to making it a good day.

Property needs a bit of serious TLC. Or half a stick of dynamite.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

With only a half day at work today we had the afternoon to explore a few caches out this way, one of the things we love to see when we travel these back roads, they certainly did it tough back them. A clever hide
had to look twice before we spotted the hide

A stick!! What blimey stick!! Sticks sticks everywhere. A lot of pulling and a bit of tugging we were able to locate the cache making this a very interesting cache to obtain. TFTC!!

Out & about with CPwanderer and Gizmo's Gang.
A quickish find in the obvious tree, once I could get hold of the object.
Luckily, I was just tall enough, thanks for the cache Hurtle.

Attempting to access gz from the north was abandoned as the geo driver Owl was reluctant to attempt the dirt road after the rain. Fortunately the approach from the south was more forgiving so a find was recorded. Thankyou for the cache Hurtle found 23 September 2020 18:16
An Owl, A Rat and an Adder braved the elements and set out for a day of caching.
We attempted to access this cache from the north but the owl mobile started to loose traction.
So we decided to abandon this access.
The access from the south was better way in.
A quick find and stamp. Tftc

The back roads were becoming a bit slippery in the rain, but the southern approach was no problems at all. The Snake spotted the right approach to the cache, which caused a little amusement and Owl was reminded of a certain Paul Hogan line.
If I had a dollar for every place I thought I could turn into a nice romantic B&B... I could afford to do the reno on one!!!
Living in some not so lost heritage, we appreciate the work involved!!!
Certainly very pretty with all the yellow crops in the background now.
Breezy, nice views, authentic local stone, open fires, and rainwater.
Well distanced from nasty viruses with plenty of fresh air and vitamin D included.
An investor's delight. Much growth potential
An interesting retrieval. tftc Hurtle
Have to wonder if we would have found this one without the clue .

Great location [^]. Got a few photo's, but it was the wrong time of day to get a good one.
Thanks Hurtle.

Such a pretty vista. H423L u-beaut camera did a good job as you can see from the pic below. When in full bloom the canola aroma reminds me of a room of year 9 boys after lunch on a 45 degree day.
Thanks to Hurtle and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! beta log. [^]
In the dying light this cache was retrieved from its hiding place. The canola fields at this time of year are spectacular. TFTC
Another one in the series ticked off, let’s see how long this lasts before some idiot breaks the stick.
After getting an unexpected FTF this morning I headed north to collect a few new caches around Stockport before heading back to town and out with Davidwazza and Weredunn4 to collect some caches around Belair. All up 34 caches for the day.

I needed a multi today and hadn't yet decided where to go to get one[?]
Then my phone pinged with new caches and there was an even harder decision to make: North, South, East or West[?]
Knowing that I also needed to find 8 geocaches today, because in almost 9 years of geocaching I have only found 2 geocaches on this date, I wanted somewhere that would be fun for the afternoon[^]
Eventually the choice was made to head North[^], away from the city and avoiding the hills and the sea for a change
Rex had a good run before we got to the 1st cache at 2.30pm ish and he had several more long runs before the day's end at about 11.40pm[|)][:X][|)]
I had 1 DNF but found the 8 caches that I needed, including the needed multi[^] and also 3 FTFs
Once I actually looked at where the 1st cache was, it felt like a blast from the past driving up to Stockport
After meeting up with a new geocacher, so I could help her learn a bit more about this game we love![^], Rex and I headed to Hamley Bridge to cache[^]
Thanks to a DNF on a Freddo Used 2B, we were still in Hamley when another cache was published in Stockport later in the day
Back to Stockport and then off to Neales Flat for the last 2 FTFs[^] and then cache our way home
We had rain, we had drizzle, we had mild wind and we had a great day out
Bloody Nuvi, it said 'go this way' so I did![^] To be fair to Nuvi, there were no 'dry weather only' signs at all
While Rex enjoyed running for a while, I had to eventually call him back into the car as the road became a tad slippery
Still we made it through to the better road heading to the cache and pulled up a few metres from GZ.
Being short is a pain sometimes but I still didn't need the ladder, just my phone
A bit of effort and the cache was in hand Just be gentle with the retrieval[^]
In the misty rain and fog, the ruin was a ghostly sight
Woohoo! *FTF*
