Took awhile but we found some pieces of the cache and some soggy log. Might need replacing. Hid as best I could
Couldn't find. Couldn't even find concrete slab thing. Think the compass on ph is way out.
Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
This is quite a popular stopover for campers and travellers alike.
Muggles everywhere but not enough to stop us picking up a smilie here today.
Mrs VC kept Winter the Geo-Cat company while Mr VC did his 'thing' & slunk off into the undergrowth ... yes, a bit of a lurker for sure!
A nice quick find about 11 metres roughly southwest of GZ.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Heading to Maryborough for my four days off. This was a convenient place to stop for morning tea. This rest stop is a lot more pleasant these days. It used to be quite filthy,
A few people around, but nobody stopped any where near GZ. The last log helped heaps. My GPSr was off by 14m under the trees.

Was roughly 10 metres from where it should be. Think concrete slab 1m square
On a trip from Brisbane to Hervey Bay. I was hoping this would be a quick find for us, but no. I couldn't see anything that resembled brick or concrete :/
Rather quick find after we knew what we were looking for . Sorry for the black marking pen I used ,it's the only one I found in the car . Wasn't out caching ,so I didn't have my usual kit with me, we were on our way to Glenwood to see my dad and stopped for a break when I remembered there was one here . Thank you
Found with the owens 2 on the way to Hervey Bay to go whale watching found 29/09/21 @ 0620
This cache had me going in circles for a while til i read a log mentioning concrete and then it was smooth sailing to the logbook.
We set up tents for the night about thirty odd metres away from gz after riding the tredleys here from pomona.
Thanks for hiding a cache in this free rest area. (Incidentally the only place in gympie one can sleep in a tent.)

Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So sorry for the generic and late log.JABs.
We were driving to a rodeo in a little country town nearby we planned out rest stop here to find this geocache. This cache is close to our hearts as we have attended this field to watch our friend Blondie play football. we shortly realised that we had not been to search for this geocache. So, we set out to find this one and turn it into a yellow smiley face.
Before leaving the geocar (track my adventures D78QWZ) we re-read the description, the hint, confirming the Difficulty and Terrain and the previous finder’s logs. While reading the previous comment we realised the co-ordinates were off by 10 metres and the container was no longer near a brick but was near a reasonable sized piece of concrete.
We set off to walk to the GZ. Princess1005 was directing us where to go. So, we started our walk over to the GZ, discussing about where this geocache could possibly be located and if it were still there due to the finder saying the container was unfortunately missing. We got the GZ and started our search for this cache. Within minutes we widen our search and we were just about to say we would come back after the rodeo.
Thankfully after a decent search in the wrong place we worked out we were in the incorrect place and regrouped. Shortly after we had the cache in hand, and we added our ink marks to the geocache log and replaced the geocache exactly as we found it. Then we headed back to the Geocar for JLK to start writing this log.
FINALLY FOUND THIS CACHE!!!!

Completed with the group. Staying in the area for a few days. Thanks for showing us this area.
This weekend, jesswrigley and I decided to make the trip north to Gympie, primarily to attend the Community Celebration and CITO events organised by AtTheLakeHouse. We had only driven through Gympie previously, so it was a chance to sight-see the area. Highlights included Yandina's Ginger Factory, Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum, and the Mary Valley Rattler train.
Today, we made the journey up to Gympie, and stopped off at Yandina to see the Ginger Factory. We attended a bee workshop/presentation, and filled up with honey tastings, which was great. We continued the drive to Gympie, and after checking in to our accommodation, we visited the Gympie Museum to learn about its gold mining past. We then spent the remaining few hours of daylight completing the *Gympie Gold or 'The Town that Saved Queensland'* Adventure Lab and visiting various geocaches around town, and it also included some gold fossicking for ourselves.
This was our first geocache upon arrival to Gympie (or the area of Gympie). Despite the wet weather, there were a few people camping in this vicinity, including a tent setup quite close to GZ itself. I thought they were away, but I did hear movement once I was returning back to the car - I wonder what they must have been thinking to see/hear a random person walking around just outside their tent?! A rest stop indeed!
It did take a few minutes in searching for this geocache, and as previous logs mentioned, I needed to find helpful hints in others' logs, noting that the cache was hidden within concrete (and not bricks as the hint mentions). The coordinates were also out by 5-10 m. Once found, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks halez1993 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Wandered about for a while but a log saying to search further afield and the brick changing to concrete had things sorted to find the cache.
Day 6 of the 10 day Easter Queensland Trip with dty73 and Tankengine. As has been the way, covid threw things into doubt but we packed the car and headed off waiting to find the fate of the Dayboro Mega and if QLD would be the destination. On route to the north of NSW to stand by and wait... we got the news it was all go!
After last night's torrential rain it was no wonder there was so much water laying about as we drove. Up into the mountains to Gardner Falls the rain of the past few days was at its peak.. Amazing! After a drenching at the rainforest walk it was down to the sunshine coast where there was no rain and indeed it was sunny!
The welcomed sun didn't last with light quick showers blowing through but with the sun and the warmth occasionally still it was nice enough. Found ourselves in Maryborough which was a great town embracing it's Mary Poppins history and amazing buildings. An odd day of torrential rain which, floods, rainforest coast blue sky and sunshine... then Bunderberg overnight.

Weekend away with RoddyC hatzofff Snickersallan and TMZ59 for the Mary River paddle and caching in the area.
In Gympie for supplies so on the way back to camp we stopped here to find this cache. Couldn't find on first sweep but expanded our search and Snickersallan found the cache about 8m away from GZ. Brick has changed to concrete.

Second day staying in the local area with geo friends hatzofff, RoddyC, patrol14, grannysmith1947 and TMZ59. After a mighty fine paddle up the Mary River during the Community Celebration Event we all had a little energy left to do a few more caches before calling it a day.
This was certainly a very busy pit stop but no one bothered us in our search which we eventually found after eliminating things pertaining to the hint provided.

Nice place to stop for a Break on the trip from Brisbane to Hervey Bay. Would have been easy if it wasn't for someone's dog barking at me in the bushes. TFTC
Gosh this area gets busy. Fortunately I had the cache access zone all to myself. TFTC halez1993.
On our way into Gympie, we stopped for a short rest here. Quite a few caravans had pulled in and it looked like maybe people were setting up for the night. We parked fairly close to GZ and went for a short walk into the bush where we found the container safe and dry.
We have added our name to the log.

Last couple of times there have been too many people close to the cache so left it until today when no one was nearby. TFTC
We are travelling a little bit with our caravan. Doing walks, sight seeing, reliving memories, and caching, of course.
We planned a coffee break in Gympie, and violà: a cache on top. Didn't know that this free campsite was so big - even though too noisy for us.

These are the co-ords that worked for me today; S26* 13.909 E152* 41.790 I had it 14m out.
Normally, I would walk away @ 10m. but I figured I'd keep looking, searched for a hide (as in, where would I hide if I was a cache) BINGO, found you, just have to get you.
Cache found, all good, but 14m out,
We have a standing joke between YOF and myself about wh.os GPS is out 3m.
I would put the error down to tree cover and inexperience at taking co-ords, took me a while to get the hang of it. LOL Always great to have another cache in Gympie.

I found the container under a rock at the base of two trees and in between them 8 meters out from the posted co ordinates. All good. You have to walk over the little run off gully away from the edge of the car parking grass area. I checked with my smart phone as well and my GPSr and the Smart phone were showing the same co ordinates. All of your last lot published I had up to 6 meters out. TFTC halez1993

We found this one this morning after circling a few times. What a lovely little container. A lovely morning to be out caching. Thanks for placing it here.

Out for a day of caching with Mr CuriousQuest. At a nearby cache, we noticed that this one was still up for FTF. After finding the other cache, we headed to this one. I parked the goemobile and shortly after, the cache was in hand. We were greeted with a blank logbook and were happy with the **FTF** so far from home. TFTC>
