Thanks richlink for the cache. Its #2099 for us. We found your cache on Saturday 5 October 2024. Passing thru Point Samson on our way south and decided to find the only cache in town! Nice hide in a lovely park near the campground.
Awesome fish sculpture, I did look in his mouth first thinking it might be a giant fish hook Camo!! We soon it elsewhere. 21 September 2024 1:56pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC richlink (maintained by Grandadbazza)
Found at 1:29 PM GAFF1.Leaving Point Samson after a reasonable lunch at the Tavern and we managed to find a safe parking spot nearby this park. The location of the cache was spotted as soon as we got out of the car and what a nice sculpture it is! Cache was found while looking a lot lower and then spotting it when I started to get up.Thanks to richlink
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 107 - Karratha to Port Hedland via Wickham, Point Samson and Cossack. It was a slow steady pack up in the rapidly rising morning temperature, not to mention the sun. I stopped for a bought breakfast before getting on my way. First stop was a revenged DNF, second stop was a nice sculpture, the third stop was a relentless walk around a very small old village. I made one more stop on the side of the highway for a very hot walk across a red stony plain. Eventually I reached my destination in Port Hedland and managed to set up before I collapsed in the air con inside. I did manage to cook dinner and am now feeling well enough to do my logging. That walk was a mistake. With no where to park near the sculpture, I went over to the beach and walked back to the cache. A dog started barking, but got bored before I found the cache. I started on the wrong side and was happy when I found it in a great hiding spot. Thanks for the cache richlink48803.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2012 Sure Footed A#238**Albida**
Found 16:33Three months of travelling in Western Australia with Muggle friends from the East coast; stopover in Singapore on the outward and return flights. Caches and labs where they are on the way and can be done without too much effort. You may forgive me for using the same standard phrase everywhere, but there's not much more to it than that. Many thanks to all the owners for making our hobby possible. If there is anything wrong with the cache, more detailed information follows.
Caught it! Now if catching real fish was as easy as caching, we'd be wrapped. Tftc
#787 ~ Found after a little walk around GZ. Thanks to Eru & Family for replacing the paper in December. All nice & dry. TFTC!!
A great catch! Needs new paper, as the log is wet. Managed to sign it. Tftc!
Appreciate if next cacher in could replace log sheet. I am at the other end of WA.
Thanks guys. First day and didnt bring pen. Might need to replace the log soon as its been wet.
Didn't have a pen, couldn't use my phone to find it due to signal, had to call the wife for tech support team effort

Up in the area visiting family and seeing our new five week old grandson.
After visiting the Cossack Art Awards today it was time to check on my own caches in Cossack and Wickham.
After that done and Mr dimor wanting to 4x4 up a hill we did that before grabbing the Wickham cache and then heading to Point Samson.
Thought this would take a while but found it within seconds as part of it was sticking out. Signed log and it is now hidden better in same spot.
TFTC now time to head ‘home’ to watch the Matildas

Thanks richlink for bringing me to this location and taking the time to hide and maintain this cache. I found the cache at 11:30:00. This was my Find 31 for today out of a Total number of 50 Finds and 4 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I signed the log and returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 5385.
We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
I spotted the likely 'host' when we were about 60m away but that didn't help. I still had to make to make a couple of circuits and check every little nook and crannie before I spotted it.
This was find number 3 for the day.

TFTC & care grandpabazza! Found on our last day in Point Samson, it has been unseasonably windy cold & damp for 5 days. Grateful for this cache to get us out & about. Log & cache dry & in good order.
Had me searching a few min but I knew I was in the right area - persistence is all you need!
Another find for the geo-hubby while I was looking at the map, lol. We came for the fish and chips. The cache was a bonus!
TFTC!

Found with Bjossi. It took us a while to spot it, but got there eventually. Thanks richlink for the cache & Baz for the commitment to maintain it.
I've finally been out to Harding Dam, then a bit of cache mtce for Supertramp, lunch at Pt Samson, a walk along the viewing platform followed by this find. The weather is warming up again, so we were lucky to have the time today to be out and about.

Found this one yesterday with Panda Dundee and Morgo the Geo, who turned up as we were looking. Funnily enough whilst myself and Morgo the Geo where intently searching GZ, Panda Dundee sat back, thought about it and then snuck in and found the FTF. I then extractacted it, whilst Morgo looked on. Team effort. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting park and TFTC
This one had been published for a while so I drove to Point Samson to give it a shot!
How funny to drive all this way to find PandaDundee and Minergal here searching for it.
