So happy we found this! Lots of muggles muggling around so took it out of sight to sign and carefully put back together TYFC
Accio 15:11:04A lovely day out with T4mmmy, hunting Aussie-Liahona caches. Thanks for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12533}*
16 June 2024 5:10pmFinished the long weekend down here, quite tired but feeling great - was a worthwhile work weekend. To clear my head before heading home I grabbed another cache. What a beautiful spot! Thanks for the cache!
Pretty cool to see the remote controlled yachts in action! Pretty straightforward find staying loyal to GZ. Thanks for the cache!
Staying with my mate Shane who lives really close by. A quick grab as we walk around the lake checking out the RC yacht races. Introducing Shane to the world of geocaching. Maybe hell catch the bug. Just Gav for this one.
Find No: 9515. Visiting from Newcastle NSW, staying at my brother's in Nerang, thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona!!
Just going for a random drive to find a few caches this morning. A nice area here. The cache was sitting in full view so have tucked away better. Thank you Aussie Liahona for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5045
In town for the afternoon wedding of friends, and a great opportunity to hunt some geocaches with GeoFriend AdventurerKris. The hint was spot on and it was a quick find. Took the opportunity to watch some remote sail boats so a cool find!
Tftc. As I now check the coordinates from satellite view, they are quite exact. But for some reason I was circling around another object nearby before accepting that the cache is not there. After that I moved to correct location and signed the log book.
This was nice to sit down, sign the log and enjoy the view of the yachts racing! TFTC
A few people about so waited for a few minutes for my chance. Quick find here. Tftc
Did it in the dark and found it straight away! Lots of fun and thankyou for placing it there.
Went out for a lovely brunch with work colleagues and just had to grab another couple while I'm at this beautiful location.
Yay, the last of the emerald lakes cluster finished! Thank you Aussie Liahona, and Tftc!
Retribution! Walked straight up to it after not being able to locate it 5 years ago. I've run past so many times without stopping as I've been in training but the blue sad face is gone TFTC.
Definitely missing
Wait for CO come back to replace it
Thank you beautiful Lake and view stunning

I was surprised to see so many people down here today. For a spot that doesn't really have a lot there sure was some foot traffic. This one blended in real nice, it took 2 searches to find it inbetween walkers. The kids headed for the big tree to climb so I followed suit to sign in.
Replaced as found thanks again Aussie L

De E1k suggested that we could go for some geocaches in the afternoon and of course I had no objections to that. I saw a series of caches in the area of Emerald Lakes where we could park the car and go for a nice walk. This was one of the caches today. Apparently we are doing this backwards. Closing in on GZ I was a bit worried about the amount of muggles playing with their boats but luckily it was a bit further away and the muggles were very much focused on what they were doing so we had no trouble getting this cache.

Found last weekend with the family but unfortunately didn't have a pen to write in the log. TFTC
I was in the area today and couldn’t resist picking up a couple of drive by caches. I could see how this spot could get very busy. Thanks Aussie Liahona for placing this cache in the wild for us to find today.
A busy spot. The bike can be a great distraction. Grabbed and replaced between the walking muggles.
Thanks Aussie for another series to tackle.
Easy start. Log signed. Let’s see if we can get around without the rain interruptions.

I was surprised when I checked and it’s been a year and a few days since I was last here… where did 2021 go…
Armed with some intel from a friend I walked straight up to the cache and retrieved it…
I got to watch the model yachts go round before returning the cache… didn’t see many ladies holding controllers… definitely a hat wearing older males game…I’m not even sure who one… maybe the younger crowd comes out on the weekends…
Tftc… so glad to avenge a DNF…

Another absolutely amazing location.
Wish I bought my bike but I'm close enough so I'll be returning this week to ride around the lake

The rest (or at least, first five) of this series was published in 2011, and I walked to them all in late 2013. Four days shy of eight years ago, as it turned out. And today I am taking a couple hours out of my public holiday to head to the coast for a few Aussie Liahona geocaches, and the walk between to stretch the legs after climbing Mount Barney over the weekend.
Noticing these two newer additions to the series just down the road from where I was, I figured why not!? It's been a while since I last found twelve geocaches in a day, but I'm having fun it and Aussie Liahona hides are always enjoyable.
Following the shade of trees and dodging the bee-laden clover, I wandered towards this geocache. The water was calm, there was a massive tree that I snapped a photo of, and I pondered if the boat ramp I was approaching is the least-used boat ramp in the whole Gold Coast?
As I got close, a party was kicking off not far from GZ. But, it was enough distance that I could do a "walk-by and grab" very easily without being noticed. I walked off, did what I had to and returned it seamlessly. If I don't say so myself. Almost 16:00, I head back to the car and call it a day. Thank you for the excuse to take the afternoon off, Aussie Liahona

This weekend, I am staying down in the Gold Coast at Broadbeach celebrating a bucks weekend. Today, with those festivities over, it was a chance for me to explore some of the areas around the Gold Coast. I made my way north through Main Beach initially, and then had a jog around The Spit. It was a sunny day, and the beaches had drawn a fair amount of people. After then having lunch at Robina, I returned back north, and explored a few areas around Carrara, Ashmore, and Molendinar. As light faded, I made the decision to head home back to Brisbane.
This was such a nice area, and a few people about enjoying picnics and gatherings. Interestingly enough, I was originally thinking that the hint was referring to something else, so I kept making loops around the tree before thinking what else it could be. Eventually close to giving up, I decided to check around the coordinates, and sure enough, the true interpretation of the hint revealed itself. From there, the evil cache was a quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
Since I had cleaned out Emerald Lakes of caches a couple more have appeared, so a return trip was called for. A quick and easy find at the GZ. TFTC

Tftc took us a little bit as we thought we had the place pinned until we expanded our searching
After being muggled away from VI we managed to give this a cursory look before the rain set in...
Thought I'd found a REALLY unusual cache, then realized I'd stumbled across another game re: Halloween T4TC
After we've done the exciting first wheelchair on board the hot air balloon activity, we searched for unfound caches nearby.
Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona. Quick find after trusting the satellite view. Lol

So glad I came out this morning. It’s beautiful down here. So lovely for a before work walk. Came down to fill a little gap in my grid.
Thanks for placing and maintaining for our enjoyment.

When approaching the car parking area we thought the people fishing were at GZ but luckily for us they were nowhere near! Luckily there were no walkers about either! The hint had us searching a place that matched it but then realised GZ was a little bit further then the hint made sense. Thanks for the hide AL.
Out and about caching today with joojoo57 on the Gold Coast. This was the first cache of the day and my first time in this area. Arrived at GZ and started looking and soon found. TFTC Aussie Liahona
Saw these two published but was already out and about. By the time I got back, still no log posted! Quick it’s worth a try! Headed here and found the cache quick smart but alas, was disappointed to see it was already signed. Oh well, a nice STF! TFTC!
**FTF** Saw this published just before taking the muggle in law to an appointment at Robina. Dropped her and geowife off and told them in my best Terminator impersonation that **I'll be back!** Missed every traffic light on the way to GZ and finally pulled in to the parking area at the boat ramp. Phone was a bit sketchy so loaded up the GPS and something caught my attention. Given D and T rating, a quick check found the prize. Pulled the log and yes, a clean slate
A lot of people walking around the lake enjoying the sunshine this morning and one happy cacher getting out here and scoring a FTF, not to mention an excuse to escape the hour in the waiting room! TFTC Aussie Liahona

We walk around here often and just yesterday I stopped to collect more supplies, all whilst this little cache lay in waiting. Had to take a seat on the grass to sign as there was a busy afternoon boot camp happening close by. TFTC
