We arrived to look for this one today to find there was a storytime session in progress for younger children right where we thought we would have to look. So off we went to look for other caches elsewhere. This afternoon we returned and had the area to ourselves but it wasn't quite as simple as we had hoped. Found something to fit the clue, but no cache! As we scanned wider Mrs SKI spotted something that just didn't seem right, and there was the cache.A day out in the suburbs and surrounds of Armidale as we searched for caches, and completed the two Ad Labs. Met a few lovely people on the way on a cool day but with only light winds. The caching was at times time consuming but we enjoyed the variety of walking we did in between sections in the car.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache ArmidaleSmurfs.**SKI Pair****
Probably like soo many others we were in the right section, but just not close enough. When in a library who do you see but the helpful librarian, our first one that we spoke to although friendly had not a clue what we were talking about, but she went and asked the other librarian and we had what we needed. They sent us to where we could do some research and find a code needed to locate the prize.Back to our previously searched area but with a new found knowledge of coding, located the book and went to sit down to open. I grabbed my trusty allen keys, Mrs Snakepitter opens the book. Could not see any locking allen screws. Signed the log and replaced. On the way out, we could hear the librarian talking to the one that we asked initially showing here what was needed, so hopefully there are now two that you can ask.fav pointTotal Caches Found 15997TFTC ArmidaleSmurfs
Loved the idea of searching for this one. As we were on holidays didnt have Allen keys, so went and purchased some and came back the next day. Beautiful library, after a little look we couldnt put our fingers on it. So asked for some help from a lovely librarian. She set us in the right section. Only to find we didnt need the Allen keys at all will give it a favorite anyway.TFTC
This one has been on my radar for a while, but Ive never had the tool with me or was here out of hours. Today the stars aligned and I came and found the cache without any help. Cool concept.TFTC
Found it on a wet and stormy day while out and about with evangt. We had to get some help from the staff who put us on the correct path. We didn't need the tool. TFTC
Visiting FootyFanatics here in Armidale on a pretty wet and stormy day. What better way than to do this cache to start. Great find after a little bit of searching/researching.
I found it with the assistance of the library staff, and I didn't need an allen key. I'll admit I felt a bit awkward wandering around the children's area when I don't have a child. Regardless, I signed the log and then made a B-line for the travel books.
What a brilliant hide! Very smart. Sadly the mechanism that locks the cache isnt working anymore, and there was a trackable hanging out the side of it. Needed some help from the very nice librarian to find this one but got there in the end!Thank you for the cache!
Staying in Armidale to cache for a few days.
Had a little bit of help locating the right book, Allen key wasn't needed in the end.
Thanks for the cache

The geokids & I headed to the library after school this afternoon to borrow some books for Googlasaurus... but mostly for me to pick up this cache. It's been on my radar for a while, but lately I've been saving it for today to tick off my last date found box. Sadly, the container has seen better days & the mechanism isn't working - so the TOTT isn't currently required. Great idea for a cache & a great location for a book worm like myself. Another FP from me, ArmidaleSmurfs. TFTC!
Didn’t have to use an Allen key, the container just opened so maybe it needs a check? Very cool hide, lots of fun. Librarians were obviously enjoying our discomfort for a minute before giving us a clue. GPS didn’t work great. TFTC
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
No need to archive this cache - it is in place and all maintenance has previously been carried out. Double Checked this morning. Sorry that last cacher wasn’t able to locate it.
This cache has evidently been missing for 9 months and has not been replaced yet (reported in June 2021).
It either need to be replaced or archived.

Gone, confirmed by librarians, was looking in the wrong place as I found the hint confusing. Not a fan of limited access caches.
Have never done a library cache before so this was a real treat. Quick stop at a local nick-nack shop to get the necessary tool then off to the library. At first the staff didn't have a clue what we were on about, one lady said she was only new, then the head librarian came over to help and we soon found what we were looking for. Fabulous cache, worth of a FP.
We are staying in Uralla over Easter now, as our trip to go to the Dayboro mega in QLD fell through thanks to covid. So instead of going back home to Vic, we decided to stay and explore this area instead. So glad we did as it is truly a beautiful area.
After completing the Mihi tourist drive and cache trail, including a detour to Danger Falls, it was tome for a late lunch, then on to this targeted cache. We came fully prepared with the correct tool but initially could not find the book. A very friendly library employee helped us with this and made sure we knew how to open the cache. We were as gentle as could be but when the cache opened after one end was released, we were surprised to see the other mechanism had already broken off inside, particularly as it was only recently maintained by the CO. Message sent to CO explaining same, however even one end completely closes the cache securely so it is still in good working order in our opinion. Just so next finder will be aware.
All in all, this is a fabulous library cache and very worthy of a favourite point. We really appreciate the work that has gone into this cache. Thank you ArmidaleSmurfs.

Cache has been fixed and is back in place. Please read the instructions & don’t force it open. Thanks
Taken for Maintenance after being muggled. Will be back up and running as soon as we can.
We sussed out where this was meant to be but it was not there. Asked at the counter and was told that they had to remove it as it had been pulled apart by some over zealous kids. Great idea but perhaps replace it in a non kids sections . Will need to be disabled in the mean time.
Gabstar and I stopped to do some real work at the library and were pleasantly surprised to find a cache here too. I went out to the car and rummaged around for an appropriate tool and went back in to make the find. Although we were prepared to be careful it seems whoever came before us had forced the issue. Despite this, the cache is safe and in good condition. I like these style of caches! TFTC
In Armidale for a weeks holiday, we started out with a few around town, and this one was quite intrequing as we noticed that a tool would be required... The perfect excuse to browse the local bunnings store.
With a the required tool purchased
(and a new esky) off to the library we headed...
We got to the section required but were stumped at where to find the cache
A quick msg to the co and soon enough the cache was in hand
Definitely a favourite point from us for the location and the clever cache itself
The hint made sense when it was found
Thank you for bringing us here

We are once again having a farm stay, at the moment it is lambing season so there is a lot happening.
We had 2 days here so we had 2 trips into Armidale. Some very good hides we found & we also completed an AL, which also took us to some incredible locations in the city.
This was the 1st of the caches we did & a good one to start. We took a supply of Allen Keys with us & we found the 2.0 was the one that did the trick for us.
FP given
Thanks for placing this amazing series ArmidaleSmurfs

This was our first visit to the new Armidale Library. It was easy to find the right section but now... where was the thing we wanted. A short search and hey, we've both found one... but only one was the cache.
There's a really well positioned lounge in the library. You can hide away with a cache and an allen key, whispering and fiddling in comfort. [^] It appeared only one catch was holding. When it suddenly opened we found the other wasn't attached.. sorry to report, it'll need some glue maintenance. Apart from that, wow! what a great family cache. Well done on getting permission to hide one here. Thanks for the fun Armidale Smurfs, fav from us.

Darn - we were just through Armidale a few days ago.
Odd though that the logs are glowing with accolades and no FP's awarded? Have the finders no FP stocks?

Definitely needed the Allen key. Don’t leave home without it! Chock full of goodies but TnLn myself. Thanks for the clever cache.
