Adelaide Leap Day trip. Day 8. Things have accelerated here in Adelaide after the actual Leap day dates, and today there was a bit of a split in the force. LaFavorite Cacher Headed off to New Zealand, but will come to the Canberra mega, so I hope to see you there. About half of the team headed out into the hills to tackle the SFE challenges up by Norton Summit and Cherryville. My day started with Gliss and NibletRiceCakes for a walk around the North Adelaide parklands to try for the TOTT series and the other caches here. We then collected Barb2e and headed to the inner north at St Clair for some events. We then set about collecting caches in the area before we expired due to heat and over exercise where the four of signed as BANG. An afternoon on the Balcony at Princess Lodge followed with heaps of pre dinner snacks. The last activity for the day was the evening event over looking the city at Lights vision, plenty of teams present. I then headed home for some long overdue sleep at this stage and the others continued o\to a deliver chinese dinner.I have had the chance to solve or work out many puzzle caches before this trip, and that has given us a very wide selection of caches to choose from. Thanks for the cache Freddo45696.25 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2011 Stamp A#206**Albida**
Day 10 of my Leap Year Mega trip. Found with Nibletricecakes, Albida33 and barb2e signed as BANG after completing the Torrens Parkrun, CITO, event and lunch. TFTC
Day 4 of our trip to SA and out with Albida33, GLISS! and nibbletricecakes. Logs signed today as BANG. Tftc
This puzzle was a lot of fun. All steps in the process were very clear and I was able to trace it by eye, but did it with pencil too just for fun. I was out this morning for a collection of caches at St Clair, and decided to swing by this one on the way home. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Freddo, cache is in good condition and safely tucked away. Find #9327 at 9.21am
I had solved this a considerable amount of time ago and saved it for a day I needed an amazing daily cache.
After an amazing early morning appointment at amazing Port Adelaide I came by here. I checked one amazing spot and got non-amazing spider webs in my hair, so I checked the other side and found the amazing cache.
Container and contents are in amazing condition and now I'm at 300 days straight of amazing Geocaching.
Thanks Freddo for this amazing mystery cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3519 on the 31st of August 2023.
CITO's are an amazing way to help keep our amazing community area's clean. The amazing Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!

Needed to head over to the Doctor's for a flu shot so loaded the bike on the back to help with some caching. First for the day was almost a drive-by letterbox in North Adelaide then out to Outer Harbour for the main aim of the day, two newish multis. Kept caching until dark with mainly puzzles in Port Adelaide and Wingfield. All up eleven caches had my name added to their logs.
Last for the day, it wasn't far from being dark so I was glad to quickly spot the cache and retrieve and replace without a muggle in sight.
Thanks to Freddo for putting out this cache for me to find.
Cache #13543 for me.
This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).

This is a tricky puzzle I got the gist of it but kept hitting dead ends literally. Enlisted some help and the final appeared. Interesting GZ took a minute to locate the prize TFTC
Today, I went out to perform maintenance for 2 of our caches. After that, I tried this cache, as it's close by.
I tried this puzzle on 26 October 2020, but failed. I had an idea how to solve it, but it's just not working.
Last week, I tried this puzzle again. After one and a half years, I solved the puzzle, using the same method before! Cannot understand why I fail one and a half years ago.
At final location, cache has been found easily. Nice container.
Signed the log, and put it back. No one was around.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, Damn Freddo.
PS: A favourite point from us. Like this cache, especially the puzzle.

Found with Team Waldron during a caching foray into the northern suburbs this morning. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Freddo!
Only S.A. Sewer Rats and Myself out for a Befuddled Wednesday Wander today so we didn't do too many puzzles until we had more of the crew aboard. However that still left plenty as we hit St. Kilda, Le Fevre Peninsular for the new Mint Tins, the Lunch Time Walk Series and any others we might be passing . As you do.
I followed the maze and ended up facing a troll. Anyone for a cigar.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

I had to head out to Grange today, so thought I’d make a day of it and take the opportunity to find a few caches, including this one. Thanks Freddo for the puzzle and the cache.
An amazingly quick find with froghoppin once the damn muggles moved on
Many thanks to Freddo for hiding this cache on our SA geo map game board

Most Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

A day out with Mattycat to tackle some around the western suburbs some we both needed and the odd one only one of us needed the smilie which helped narrow the search, another puzzle on our solved list that was on our radar today, a quick find after waiting for muggle exercisers to move along

Today was a part maintenance, part hiking and part hiding kinda day, but I did manage to also find a couple of caches. This one was on route to my Clogs and Thongs cache that needed a new QR code, so a small detour was made. No trolls were seen and the cache was in the logicial place and before I knew it I was en route again.

This one has been solved for a while and today after an early brekky event I was reasonably close so decided to come and find the cache. [^]
I find a lot of these new subdivisions are very much maze-like and it sometimes takes a long time to get somewhere that is very close as the crow flies.
Today I managed to make my way to GZ and then find the cache in the second place I looked, which I managed to see from the first place I looked.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache Damn Freddo.

It was a maintenance day, but that didn't mean Owl couldn't go and find caches that were more-or-less on the way. This was a puzzled that had stumped Owl on its first iteration, but the Puzzled Puzzlers were ready with a hint and advice that it had changed. Amazing coordinates appeared soon afterwards. Today it was an easy find. Amazing!
Still not quite sure what happened today[?] as I needed either 6 or 7 caches for the day and yet somehow didn't leave home until about 10pm
That meant a mad rush to get the required number of finds before midnight[^]
It was such a lovely night though[:X][^] that once I had my numbers, I kept on caching until I found the last cache at 2:59am[|)][^] 13 cache finds all up![^][^] Then it was home to sleep[|)][^] for both Rex and I[|)][^][|)]

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Well, when this was published I opened it up, and immediately started down the red herring pathway, like many others. Soon discovered that this was the amazingly wrong approach.
So packed it away for a while. Then at an event soon after, I overheard some talk about this one, and it got me thinking. Yes, I know, dangerous... Tried a couple of things and they looked promising, but just could not get the final to look sensible. Last night I was bored watching TV, so opened this one up again and with a bit more manipulation of the data, finally got a sensible looking page of information that soon realised a set of coordinates that the checker gave the green light to.
Amazing.
This morning, while the plan was to work from home, I ended up having to head into the office for a very short period, and then a detour on the way home past GZ. A short search later, a container was spotted that contained a logbook that was duly stamped and then replaced in its hide.
Amazing.
Thankfully the area was muggle free so no issues there.
Amazing
bgmat used to work in this area in the parents shop, and knew the area intimately. My, how things have changed in the ensuing 40 years. Have not been through here in a long time and it was hardly recognizable from my memory.
Oh well, off home and to the home office for the day.

One of the targeted hides by the Adders and a rat after our visit to the event in Mawson Lakes.
Such a nice day for our Friday Frolic so the cache was soon in the hands of the Adder.
Signed and replaced.
Thank you once more Sir Amphibian.

Found It!
The puzzle has nothing to do with the 2nd test of the 2006/07 Ashes series. Despite how amazing that match was. After moving on from that, and after the frog had corrected the spacing in the puzzle, it started to make sense and I soon had an answer. Today I was caching in the area of GZ so I stopped for a quick find! Amazing!

Now how cool is this puzzle. I knew what to do but somehow it didn't fall out. I then changed one teeny teeny little thing and it popped out. I love these. I think my first was an Einstein thing at school on punch cards. Well you get what I mean. There are other ones but they don't pass the family friendly GC test. [8)]
Thanks to Freddo and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
I have seen one these before so had a play and it luckily fell out on the kitchen table. Nice hide and tricky container.

This puzzle gave me a headache when it came out and I went down the wrong path, my idea worked well in the original version but when the puzzle changed it through me off, the CO had talked about it at an event and a solution was then soon had.
This evening I needed a puzzle and a multi so made the detour to this one after work and made a quick find in the dark. Cache is all good

When I first tried to solve this one I wasn’t amazed at the results I was achieving. A few days later I noted that the cache description had been updated. That certainly helped make my original idea work a lot smoother. Today I was in the rough vicinity so made a small detour to come and look for this one. Wasn’t in the first spot I looked, but I could see it from there, so a quick change of approach and the cache was mine. Surprised not to see more names in the log book.

We think we found all the difficulty stars and all the terrain stars for this one. And some extra ones.
Having not yet solved today's new D5 puzzle offering, and having solved todays D3 puzzle offering (regardless of what the checker might say) we decided a quick little D2 puzzle would be the go.
Not so much of the quick.
We knew what to do. But we struggled and struggled to make it work. Eventually after a lot of trial and error we had some coordinates that the checker liked. There had been some attempts it didn't like.
And then we noticed the updated note and updated puzzle. Now you tell us!
So off to GZ we Brad went. Janet just smiled and waved goodbye. At GZ Brad parked in exactly the most non-optimal spot and walked much further than is necessary.
He then proceeded to add extra terrain stars to the point that when he re-emerged a very concerned young woman was staring down and inquired whether he was alright? Brad assumed she meant physically. He smiled and waved the prize at her and began to explain. She smiled (sort of) as she stepped back and kept moving.
Brad could almost hear her thinking, "Mum said 'Keep away from the crazies at night.'" Mum's know best.
Then it was time to check the logbook. Oh. There is a name on the first page. Oh well, you can't be first to all of them.
Hmmm. That's a little unusual. The name aon the first page says Brad&Janet. It's Brad writing too. Brad was pretty sure he had not been here already today. Pretty sure.
And there are more names in it too. Ridethegeowalrus, thewhitedoggang, Davidwazza, michells&hound, e.gregory1. And they all signed the logbook in 2018....
Two options seemed possible.
1: There is a remarkably prescient and efficient group of geocachers in Adelaide.
2: The CO has inadvertently recycled an old log book.
We'll let you decide which you think is correct.
Thanks Damn Freddo for puzzle worthy of both its D stars, and a hide worthy of both its T stars.

Turns out Uni was right and the gc.com upload had made a mess of the puzzle spacing. The exact same puzzle is now on the page with no spaces this time.
