The last question on the AdLab Had me going. Tried every iteration under the sun till it spat out a you got it!Phew! Cache was on the ground when I found it so I tied it back up. Thanks for the AdLab and the bonus cache.
Good to turn a sad face into a smiley. The area was a lot cleaner than when I was last here thankfully. CuteOtter spotted the cache. Looks like it may have been a bit different to begin with. Cant say much more or it will give it away. Replaced as found. Thanks.
After a couple of events in the town of Inverloch I headed off to learn about dinosaurs. What an interesting Adventure Lab. I really enjoyed doing this one.I kept bumping into SteMicMitSar while doing the Lab stages so it seemed only fair that we both go looking for this cache together. It took us a little bit to find this one but we got there in the end.TFTC surefoot24Keep smiling
*Found on the 20 Oct 2024 @ 3:02pm.**Cache find # 15903.*After attending the CITO and event earlier on, it was now time to head out and find a few caches and AdLabs as I was making my way to Cape Paterson. After crossing paths a few times today with Jolly, we ended up finishing off the AdLab together and then headed back to find this one.We headed into the bushes a little further than what we were thinking we needed to be and started looking around, it wasnt until I pointed my eyes up instead of down that the cache was finally found.**Thanks to surefoot24 for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
I am slowly targeting any geocache older than 2006, and somehow I had missed this Eagles Nest one last time I was in Inverloch. I am also working on a number of challenges. One that I don't qualify for is having 2 "Event" types in every month. Before last week, I had every month completed except October, in which I had never attended any event. As such, today's plan was to attend the Inverloch event and get the old geocache. Lovely day for it, and knowing that the Phillip Island Grand Prix was on, we left early. While Huntress went off on a run along the beach foreshore, 999HK and I went geocaching before the events.Last time we were in Inverloch, we couldn't get a car park at the last Way Point. No reason these had to be done in order, which was frustrating because we would have done them in a different order with WP5 hit first before all the people, and based on our activities. Today, back in the area, we were a lot earlier than all the people and had the place to ourselves. Then we made our way to the final, where we had visited our last trip to Inverloch. With good coordinates, we found this well themed geocache quickly. Thanks for the cache, Sure Foot 24.Hunter
Quick find on the way past here, cache is all goodTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Saturn's day the nineteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Checked this while in the area for other caching purposes and checked cache. Ir's still there ready to be found.
I was exploring the area for the first time and was amazed at the things I have learnt today. Great AdLab and fun find for the bonus at the end of it. GPS had me 4m out from final GZ but perseverance paid off - liked the way you kept to the theme . TFTC and the fun!!
Spent about 10 minutes searching through the undergrowth before raising my gaze to find this themed cache right where I had been. Thanks for the cache and the Adventire Lab.
No luck today bit I enjoyed the Adventure Lab. A fairly scrubby area so lots of hiding places
Found relatively quickly despite the dense bush. This guy's out of his natural habitat! Tftc and also the adlab! We had a great time
This year we headed to Cape Paterson to stay a few days over new years and had a nice stay at this beach location I had not been to before. Plenty of people around but that is expected at this time of year. After returning from the rail trail at Fish Creek I did this ad lab on the way.Once arriving at GZ it seemed like a challenging location to search for a micro. I did find a little ring tied to a tree (see photo attached to log) and not much else so I just moved on in case that was it and I would be searching for no reason. It may be quite some time before I am back anywhere near here. Thanks surefoot24 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Mr poolpool loves dinosaurs so we couldn't miss this lab and bonus cache while in town. Interesting reading of the history. Bit of a scratch around the scrub at GZ, got there in the end once we changed our viewpoint, rewarded with a well themed cache. TFTC surefoot24, FP awarded !!!
Welcome to the Caves parking toilet , be careful where you tread and put your hands while seeking this cache, not the ideal place!
No luck for me. Ended up in the toilet area with both my phone and my GPS. I read the previous logs and saw this was common. Also read they found the cache 20m away. Hmmm. Gave up.
Came back on our way home from our coastal holiday to log this now that it is back up. Great container
Awesome cache to accompany our visit back to The Caves, its a beautiful spot!
Loved the container, very clever!

We had arrived at this spot to answer a nearby Ad Lab question to discover that the CO was already here. After chatting for a few minutes we headed off to complete the rest of this Ad Lab series and with the coordinates for this bonus cache we arrived back to make the find with the CO. This had been a nice surprise on a bleak afternoon - grey skies and rain. An interesting series and with the themed container it was worth a favourite point. Thanks to surefoot24 for the Ad Lab series and the bonus.
Visited this today for maintenance. Replaced as cache had gone missing. It was probably fairly recently as nobody had alerted us. Lucky we had everything needed in car.
Holiday time means a camping trip to Inverloch. We spent the morning exploring rock pools and dinosaur trails. A great adventure here well worthy of a fav. Thanks for the fun and adventure.
After completing the Adventure lab a few months ago and running out of time to collect the bonus today was the day to try ..did I need to wait out the surfing muggle getting dressed next to my car?? Nope off I went to GZ eventually spying the cache. upon my return to the Geo Car the muggle was still fussing about.
Found by Mary and David at 10:55. Another gorgeous day, and a great Ad Lab. We've never been to the RACV Resort. Learned so much at every stage , and what marvellous views too. Took a while at GZ, but we got there. Definitely gets a FP. Our thanks to surefoot24.
Completed the Lab Cache and it was onto the Bonus Cache. Arrived at GZ and found cache. TFTLC Bonus. Giving a FP here for the Lab Cache
Thanks surefoot24 for showing us the Bass Coast Dinosaurs - some lovely views today.
#2032 completed the AL cache for this one several months ago. Shortly afterwards whilst trying to find this one as it was starting to get dark with heavy cloud cover and rain making my phone’s gps very undecided as to where it thought it was from one second to another. After about 15 mins with the light almost gone I abandoned play. Days later, after checking in with the CO to check if I should be looking upstairs or downstairs, I vowed to return on another ( clearer ) day. That day is today, and with the added precaution of bringing my “proper” gps I had no problem spotting the cache within a min of arriving at a gz (several metres away from where I had ended up previously). TNLNSL. TFTC surefoot24 and your assistance a couple of months ago.
Out for a short mental health break. Fresh air and caching. Interesting cache. Thanks For the cache
Was a little bit chilly but after a quick look around was pretty easy to find

This was an unexpected bonus after finally doing the Adventure Lab -- think I have been a little apprehensive of them. Case in point - don't overthink the answers - they are there for you if you turn up!
Someone had found this cache just before more me so no existing trails to tread on, just lots of crushed plants which was rather disturbing.
TFTC surefoot24 for maintaining and placing this cache to allow us to enjoy and appreciate our beautiful environment.

Nice cache in an okay location. Was initially doubtful that the right coordinates were provided it but found it in a supposedly obvious spot. TFTC

No good today. Completed the series but could not locate the cache in the bush. Lots of muggles here today and rained the other day when we were looking. Maybe nextime
Thanks for the series

Outing for the day. enjoyed to visited different places fav from me. I had a great time finding your cache surefoot24, thank you so much for placing it.
After an enjoyable drive around for adlab answers, we finally completed enough to find the bonus! Thanks for placing the cache surefoot24.
Out and about with BeckNmonts today on a bit of an adventure. We did the associated lab series and not long after we found ourselves here dodging people poops & toot paper. It seems we found the local surfer’s bathroom as well as a cache. Coordinates were pretty spot on so we weren’t here for very long, just had to be careful not to step in a surprise!

We started this AL on our last day of our holidays at Inverloch last year, and today being a wet day decided to head out for a drive rather than sit around the caravan park.
After taking our daughter for a quick swim at the surfbeach to round the day off the last two stages of the AL weren't that far away so we bowled them over as well.
However the experience of finding this bonus was soured by searching for the cache in an area that is obviously used as a toilet for tourists and surfies, and with the coords about 20m out probably due to the weather, it took far longer to find this cache than it should have and far longer than i wanted to traipse around this gross location. Can't wait to get in the shower now. But thx for the AL.

Enjoyed the Lab, and visiting the sites associated with it, and managed to locate all the required information without too much trouble.
Got fooled by the GPSr on this bonus howeer and went to the wrong area first. Upon realizing this returned to what was the real GZ and spooted the anomoly and found the ache.
Every year Mr SKI's family tries to get together for a few days, usually at Inverloch in one of the caravan parks. The logistics can be interesting as he has quite a big family. All but one made it this year as sadly the youngest still has to work. Maybe next year!
The weather has been mixed, but it is great to get together anyway. Plenty of coffees and meals out and much catching up.
No other family members geocache on a regular basis, but with a gap in the activites and a fine day we organized for Rebel Acts to join us so we could head out and fine as many of thos unfound caches in the surrounding area as we could.
As usual it was a great day with plenty of fun and the usual branding of ámatuers' when someone overlooked hides. Usually us. The scenery was often spectacular with a variety of cache types and hides. Even managed to correct a couple of blue faces.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache surefoot24.

Suscoe was out caching today in the company of Phetlern.
It was a very mild day, a good breeze blowing and lots of sunshine til later in the day, we even had a few large drops of rain.
A good range of caches in a variety of locations were visited.
Thanks to surefoot for this Adventure Lab bonus.
We enjoyed the exploration of the Dinosaur coast and it was an interesting experience.
Wish we had more time to fully explore the coast line up close.

An excellent bonus cache, which I am giving a favourite point for two reasons... Firstly, for the great dinosaur lesson, and secondly for the creativity in the final hide. Great work, Cheers!
With our break down this way now cut short due to the new Covid restrictions , I wanted to finish this one off given that I'd done the prerequisites last night and this morning.
While CrobDes packed, I raced (read: drove sedately ) up to GZ where a bit of searching in the haystack area had me with the appropriately disguised stash in hand at 15:55.
Oh well, back to finish packing and go.
Still, it's all worthy of a fave point.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks for a great series surefoot24.

Out and about with &others while we were staying at Cape Paterson. Picked up the clues but making it a lot harder by trying to put in to much information. Got to keep it simply. Enjoyed out journey thanks for that surefoot24

A lovely afternoon at Iverloch. We decided to follow this adventure lab trail back to Cape Paterson, then take the long trip home. I've pretty much found all of the caches in between Inverloch and the Cape so I knew all about the dinosaur history - it would be great for a newbie cacher though. The weather was perfect after an overcast morning. Thanks for the cache, and the adventure lab surefoot24 - favourite point added.

#4536 We completed the associated AdLab back in December last year but didn't collect this bonus cache as gz was madness with muggles and the police were also there. The police ended up shooting an injured Kangaroo. Today was a different story, after visiting the beach nearby we returned to a quiet gz where Mrs BGF made the quick find. Nicely themed container . Thanks for the fun surefoot24.

Headed out on a solo mission(sort of) this weekend, with first priority being the Saturday morning Inverloch parkrun. A friend had a place for the week, and was happy for me to stay on Friday night.
After an excellent parkrun this morning, I decided to make a start on this adventure lab series and see where it took me. A good fun, well themed set of labs. RACV one was especially cool.
Cache needs a little repair as the bison has popped out of it's "holder's

We had previously collected all the Adventure Lab stages in this interesting series when first published and today we detoured to this area to create the opportunity to sign this bonus cache.
Thank you for the creative themed hide and highlighting the area with your series.

Dejavu asked in out Geo Nerd group if anyone wanted to come along on a caching run today and as I was doing nothing so I was in. We headed for Inverloch and then Phillip island to grab some D/T rating they needed
We grabbed this on our way past as Dejavu had done the Adventure L.A.B. I will be back to do that.
Signed log thanks Surefoot for the cache.

After some comments from finders it appears the final location at Eagles Nest were causing problems in the Adventure Labs app. I've rechecked the coordinates and changed them in the Adventure Lab app. I hope they work better now.
Staying over at Cape Paterson for our annual holiday. I loved doing this Adventure lab it was made even better with this bonus cache. I loved the camo Great place. Nice easy find. TFTC
I'd first heard of this Adventure as an idea floated at an event back in the olden days of February and, partway through lockdown, I was pleasantly surprised to see it had appeared on the Adventures map.
We'd made the trip down to this area for the holidays and had kicked off WP1 a few days ago at a spot I vaguely remembered from a traditional (and with such a cool park guardian, how could it be forgotten?), though clearly I hadn't recalled how to approach it as we found ourselves going in a suburban street circle before finally arriving and collecting the required information.
This was soon followed up by WP2 in another familiar location I'd visited in full a couple of years ago but also regularly pass on my visits to Inverloch.
Today, WP3 was tackled - I'd wagered a guess in the carpark but was deemed incorrect, so in I went and a very helpful staff member pointed me in the right direction which led me to realise that my initial hypothesis was correct but a misspelling had led me astray!
It was still fun to see this previously unexplored exhibit and learn a bit more about the dinosaurs!
WP4 was picked up quickly but was succeeded by WP5 which caused a bit of a headache as it became apparent that there weren't too many information boards in the bushes!
A bit of a hunt around was required and a few wrong guesses tried before the final journal entry appeared and we were good to go for the final!
The most direct path was attempted first as a fairly overgrown geotrail seemed to lead to victory, but a different, far more user-friendly route was found instead which led straight to the cache.
Very cool construction here that made the retrieval a unique experience before the log was signed and everything replaced once more!
Thanks to surefoot24 for setting up this Adventure and crafting a FP-worthy hide to conclude the hunt!

The old saying "Time & Tide wait for no man" was true for us today. 2021 - already with nearly a month gone, we enjoyed an overdue day out in South Gippsland.
After following the dinosaurs around the Bass Coast, a cache like this was a real bonus. We did experience issues with the last (5th) leg of the associated Adventure Lab cache - CO advised via Message system.
Thanks surefoot24 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Well this was quite an adventure! I had never done an adventure cache before but the app was easy to use. It was fun to drive to each destination, learn about dinosaurs and answer the questions. We didn’t have issues with any of the locations / questions although the lady at the RACV resort thought us a bit strange at wanting to look at the exhibit. Once we got the final coordinates we headed there and had a look around for the cache. However we had no luck. Determined to find it we headed back the next day with a bit of a hint and fresh eyes saw us find it almost straight away. My gps seemed to put us about 10metres off on the first attempt strangely enough. Thanks for this one, really enjoyed it!
An after dinner adventure after a day out in the area.
Everything went well and we visited a few sites for the first time.
At GZ the clever cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for the Adventure Labs and Bonus Cache surefoot24.

Bonus! Following on from a mostly successful day out in South Gippsland wit +Wife, our Muggle Mate, Pam and the GeoMutts, an adventure unfolded.
As I sat outside the fish and chip shop, patiently waiting for our order I recalled a new AdLab cache had been published nearby. Certainly since the last time we cache the area. Imagine my dismay to discover that Christine was actually parked outside WP 2 but that this adventure is sequencial.
With the steaming hot packet in hand we back tracked a short distance and the fun began.
+Wife didn't have the app on her device and downloading it was somewhat problematic.
Eventually I worked my way through the first waypoint and then logged out.
Christine's turn. Logged in on my phone and caught up.
On the way back to the (not) the start, I managed to get the app sorted for her.
Off we went. Working our way up the coast. Some delightful areas visited and lots of pics taken. We even managed to find the final. Looks good!
Thanks for the adventure Surefoot24.
Hope to catch up soon.

A nice way to highlight one of the fascinating features of this part of the coast and also to revisit many of the locations that we have been to over the past 50 years.
We knew a fair bit about the dinosaur fossils found in this area and used to have a cache based on the very first fossil found in Australia - which btw caused us to get the answer to the 5th stage completely wrong at first
Talking about the 5th stage, the co-ords are a bit out as we had to go off the track a few metres into the scrub about 63 metres from the information boards to get the app to recognise our location and show us the question. That's not right is it?
We enjoyed the RACV Resort and ended up having coffee and milk drinks for the grandkids in a lovely setting overlooking the ocean.
At the cache location we were impressed with the hide, but found that the log sheet was laying on the ground rather than in the bison tube
Thanks surefoot24 - we enjoyed this AL and the bonus.

We joined forces with micaparamedic today with the idea of grabbing a few lab and also as many multi's as we could for a challenge cache that we are after.
We had a little bit of trouble with some of the co-ords on this lab but we were able to sort things out with a little bit of common sense and widening the search quite a bit and for our perserverence we were rewarded with a set of co-ords for this bonus. Once more back into the car and we headed off to gz and here we had no trouble with the co-ords, they led us directly to a well hidden cache that followed the theme nicely. The recent strong winds added a little to the difficulty of the extraction of the log but it does now contain our names.
Thanks surefoot24 for the bonus, a favourite point from us.

The weather was looking good , with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed to Inverloch armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches I found today. this took longet than it should to find with so many spots a cache could be at GZ and the gps going in circles, some intersting locations visited.
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache.
Thanks surefoot24 for the cache.
Took a little while as on this warm day we were keeping more of a lookout for snakes than the cache. Didn't see any thank goodness and spotted the cache.
This was a very clever cache. I had to go a bit further into the area than I expected but it was worth it. Well done and thank you for this great experience.
Definitely a bonus for my trip over the "Divide" and along the coast. So after all these years I see this dramatic coast line on a wild windy day and learn about dinosaurs and rocks - all new and great fun too. Thanks to "Surefoot24" for the incentive and opportunity to explore. GZ could do with a CITO! Took me a return to a certain spot and looking at a different angle to spy the container almost leering at me. Log signed and returned to its perfect spot.
Yay, FTF at 10.30pm We were in the area to find another cache tonight and noticed this new mystery that we hadn’t seen before. Low and behold it was one of these new fandangled Adventure Lab caches. We decided to try one of the journal entries, just to see what happened. Before we knew it, we’d got them all (except the RACV one as it’s closed for Covid, but that didn’t seem to matter). We decided to have a quick look for the final, and luckily we spied the very fun hide reasonably quickly. We are locals and quite familiar with the locations and have attended many Bunurong homeschool dinosaur sessions with Mike Cleeland over the years, so we didn’t miss too much doing it at night - but I would highly recommend doing this cache during the day if you are new to this coastline and history. Thanks so much surefoot24 for a fun experience! You’ve inspired us to do something with the Adventure Lab we were assigned. A favourite point from us
