Spent a couple of days back in Motueka, and had completed the ad lab yesterday. Made sure to double back and grab the bonus cache this morning before heading off, magnificent tree at the final, TFTC
Sadly this is the last geocache find of the day. It was a 15.6km pedal assist ebike ride. I enjoyed finding your caches , finishing this lab and finding this bonus cache too.
Tried doing this after we did the lab but the road was way to busy- so it was fairly quiet tonight so gave it a try and Stretch0 looked from the right angle log signed - nice to finally finish the Lab and bonus - thanks
After looking several times and not seeing, I changed my angle and there it was right where I had looked. Thanks for the cache.
A nice quick find thanks. Had a failure here last time, but looked a bit closer today and can up trumps. A Fav point for the bonus and the series.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee road trip to Nelson. Today we cruised around Motueka, after the morning rain had stopped.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We had explored the wider Motueka area this afternoon thanks to the Te Maata Adventure Lab. Then it was time to find the bonus cache, which is nicely hidden in an approriate location.Thanks.
I don't know why I didn't do the bonus at the same time as the AL. This was beginning to stick out on my map, so I got the final coords and made the find. TFTC.
I enjoyed doing the Lab Cache. Some interesting spots to visit. Got the final coordinates on the first attempt which was pleasing. Took me a few moments to find the cache once at GZ. Cheers and TFTC

First find of the day. Motueka is my childhood town, so lots of cool memories to share with RNZ along our travels today
Today we thought we would head over to Motueka to visit the market & then up the Motueka Valley to Ngatimoti for some geo adventures. My grandparents lived just across the Peninsula Bridge so I love this area The we drove through to Upper Moutere via Risedale Road & stopped at the Upper Moutere pub to refuel The Polenta chippies are yummy!!!!!

First find today.
We complete the ad lab last time we were up this way. Today it was a quick find and all quiet.
FP from me for the thoughtful and educational Ad Lab. Nice one Sidewaze.
Today we popped in to Motueka to visit the market. It was a bit low key due to the average weather, but we still made some purchases.
On the trip home we took some back roads toward Ngatimoti. Good memories from RG’s childhood out here as this is where her grandparents lived.
For me, some roads I have never been down before and a few caches on the way into Upper Moutere, some refreshments, then off home.

28 November 2021 13:16. Number 10464 Out caching with Ethness, and a quick find at an appropriate location. Really interesting to hear the stories of this region. TFTC
Many by thanks for a most interesting tour around Motueka. I certainly learnt a lot. Favourite given. TFTC Sidewaze.
I'm not sure why it's taken so long to find the Ad Lab bonus, I found the labs ages ago. Picking up a few caches with Nanzie tonight. For some reason my gps and Nanzie's phone had the original coordinates and only my flat phone had the final coordinates, so after wondering why there was no hint item at gz and about to leave I managed to get enough from my phone trying to charge in the car to find out where we were supposed to be which made far more sense. Quick find by torchlight. Thanks Sidewaze

OUT caching with paddle chick great to beable to complete this Adventure Lab and Bonus it deserves a favorite. Thanks Sidewaze
Day 16 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Travelled from Murchison to Motueka today. We had intended doing so yesterday but the route was cut off due to the recent heavy rain and subsequent flooding. We got through okay despite a slip being cleared in one place and seeing plenty of evidence of recent flooding, plus very high rivers still.
We picked up this one immediately after completing the Adventure Lab. Wondered initially why it was so far from the last Adventure Lab point, but now I can see how it ties in with the whole ‘theme’. Fortunately it didn’t take too long to locate, even though I didn’t manage to figure out the hint! #4187. TFTC.

#20033. We started the ad lab a couple of days ago, and finished it today. Interesting location for the final. Thanks for helping is to explore the area. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ en route to Golden Bay, via some ad labs, puzzles and other targeted caches.
We had started the ad lab a few days ago but had run out of time to complete it, today we finished the last 3 then calculated the final. An interesting tour and final location. TFTC.

Found while on an Easter caching holiday with Kiwimykl, refer to his log for details.

Found with NZDi. It is Easter and NZDi decided she wanted to go to the Mapua Easter Fair seeing she missed out last year due to Covid-19 Level 4 Lockdown. Also we purchased a caravan late last year and as Easter is traditionally the last outing of the season before caravans are closed up for winter, we didn't want to waste this opportunity even though we have another trip planned next month.
So the plan is to set up at Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park for three days going to the Fair on Sunday, then on Monday look at the weather and decide whether to spend another three days in Golden Bay or head down the Wet Coast. In the meantime there is some caching to do.
Today is Day 3 of our expedition over the hill. On Friday we managed to get what the purists would say was 17 caches, but two of them were Lab Caches so GCHQ says the tally is 25, and who are we to argue with that.
Yesterday we got what the purists would say was another 20, but once again one of those was a Lab Cache so GCHQ says it is 24. As a result of yesterday's lab cache, we qualified for this bonus cache and we had to use the checking app to remind us of the hint. Once we had that, it was all easy.

Congratulations on the 1000 finds kiwimonkey and thanks for your supportive log. Onwards and upwards! You should try and make it to an event sometime and meet up with some of us crazy people .
Woohoo! Perfect place to bring up #1000!
New phone has allowed me to get started on some adventure labs, and this was my first, being close to home and looking quite interesting. Finished the lab a week or two ago, and saved this bonus for #1000. I much enjoyed learning some of the history of the area. Some stops were new to me, and some I could visit with fresh knowledge. And this final hide was trickier than I expected too. Thanks very much for the adventure!
A couple of lean years recently slowed my progress to 1000, about 5 years it's taken. Early on it was Sidewaze caches through the moutere in autumn that sparked my geocaching addiction. Over the years its been a race between Sidewaze and B&W for the most I've found. Final results S-193, B-171. Also much fun finding caches from SoBad(40) BigglesNZ(39) isis58(36), kiwi-nomad, niteowlnz, paddle chick, andy.gail, Stretch0, no.13, Kiwi_Explorer, and many more.
So thank you Sidewaze for all the hours of entertainment you've given me around Tasman/Nelson with this weird hobby. Hopefully I can pay some of it back soon.

The solution to this Ad Lab puzzle caused these travel wearied cachers frustrations to bubble over. Sleep deprivation does not help cognitive thinking and we found this task to be rather ambiguous and by the number of red crosses, we have not been the only ones. Once we had calmed down, and before the CO had kindly contacted us, we had finally stumbled upon the solution. The find at GZ was a breeze after all that. Thank you for your efforts in setting up this Adventure Lab.

Why are bloody ad labs always so ambiguous, which line are you talking about, have tried all combinations, is it case sensitive?
This was an interesting way of giving the bonus cache details. I didn't read the instructions correctly to start with, but after re-reading it all made sense. So did final gz, even though it was more travelling. I'm glad we were driving by this stage. Thanks for the Ad Lab and bonus cache Sidewaze
Wow that took a tad if sorting ..a great journey around Motueka..really pleased to log the bonus....us Northerners must be a tad dumb or speak a different language thanks sidewaze
We completed the AdLab back in August but couldn't get this bonus sorted because we didn't have the updated page. Never mind, there's always another trip at some time in the future and today was one such time as we headed over to Kaiteriteri and back to Mapua to complete some more AdLabs.
It took a small search before we found it, not having the hint from the checker but we soon found it and had it signed.
Thank you Sidewaze.

Today was designated to be a caching day with extras. Meaning muggles familiar with caching coming along for the ride. As it happened the muggles signed off with good reason but left us with a substantial picnic lunch. Well, what's not to like It took about 4 months but here we are. We only got the cache page update after returning home and vowed to be back. A place not unfamiliar after being fed and watered here for four days while taking care of transport to places of significance during the official celebrations of Treaty Settlements. Thank you Sidewaze
We wanted to make four finds this afternoon, but I did not fancy going for much of a walk in the wind, so I thought I would head to Motueka and see if I could find some caches that didn't involve much distance.
We had worked out where the final for this Lab cache would be while we were at home. Very appropriate place to finish the lab cache.
We had enjoyed learning about some important history of the local area. I must admit we do not always read the whole cache page on some of the caches we find, but I did read all of these as I was interested in what you had to share. So this gets a favourite from us.
Thanks for setting up the lab cache and thank you for the smiley

Found with NO.13 on a possible wet day after an interesting trapse around Mot to some interesting sites. Had a little trouble getting the wording right but got there in the end. When finding cache about 200 motorbikes of all sizes roared up north side road nearby. We made the mistake of trying to later cross the main street while they came south thru Mot. Not sure what the event was. TFTC & Adv Lab
Enjoyed doing the adventure lab with Ulmuslyn
Didn't take long to work out the coords.
Loved it
Motor bikes galore.
Thank you for the adventures

I completed the AdLabs last week in the rain. Worked out this final from home and called by this morning for a not so quick find.
The hint hadn't transferred to my GPS but luckily I now keep cachly updated on my phone and that transfers all the page notes whereas GSAK doesn't.
So after one circumnavigation without success the hint was obtained and then it was a quick find.
Thanks Sidewaze for the AdLab tour and this Bonus.

I thoughly enjoyed my trip round the various historical locations and interesting information. Very high first at the first one and numerous dogs enjoying a swim. Someone hasn't finished a sentence on the information panel at Te Maatu. Learnt a lot on my way round thanks Sidewaze. It's worth a favourite but it has to wait in the queue behind a few others before it can be awarded as I've run out. TFTC # 15,930
Thanks for the final, it took me a capital letter and some punctuation before all was revealed!
Very interesting exploration of the area, and a most fitting location for the final! TFTC!!
Found with Tregearp whist out and about and completing the Adventure which introduced us to some interesting local history we hadn't known. All in good order at the GZ - two magnificent specimens. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks Sidewaze for the interesting adventure and the bonus cache.
I'd completed the adventure several weeks ago and enjoyed finding out about the local history, today SJT_NZ was completing the adventure so I thought we could combine it with a bit of a walk on the spit and afterwards head for the bonus final. A quick find and not much activity in area so log and return. Thanks Sidewaze for a fun adventure and final.
Finally made it to Mot to check out this LAB cache. Had a great time wandering around Mot learning about the local history. And this Bonus was a great end to get snagged and tagged. Cheers
Its another weekend exploring Nelson and Tasman with The Seagnoid, Toby and Zara. Early start out of Blenheim getting to Nelson by 8am. Had a great weekend picking up a couple of Labs, even a new one on our way home in Havelock.

One of the primary aims of this trip - collect two more adventure labs. So here we are, learning a little of Motueka's early history. I think forgotten history makes for excellent caches. An excellent little series. My only gripe is the standard gripe of Adventure Labs - they are often too short and I want to explore that subject matter furhter (show me more murals, more of this history, more of...)
Given that I am leaving Blenheim soon, I am putting in a concerted effort to cache out the South Island. 40 caches this weekend, only a few thousand more to go. A couple more weeks should do it! As usual I have Zara, Toby and Taybeedragon along for the ride. We were supposed to be going to Murchison, but there is some horrible weather that way, so we came here. Much better!!

Nice one! After an enjoyable tour around some historic points of interest I was able to successfully unlock the secret of the bonus cache. Drove along to GZ and found the cache in the first place I checked. Thanks for the fun and TFTC, Biggles.
After successfully finishing the Lab Cache progress ground to a halt. Certitude wasn't very cooperative and refreshing the cache page in the hope of an update just didn't happen. It would have been our last cache for the day but alas. After adding a few reds we admitted defeat. At home the updated page loaded and the first try with Certitude earned us the green tick. No harm done, we'll be back.
Bonus [FTF] at 3.30. We took longer at the last stage of the adventure lab than we should have. The instructions are now quite clear and we had success when we took them literally. When we did, we knew where to drive to the bonus and had an instant find there.
Thanks. We were pleased to be driving this although a cyclist more confident than Mrs Sobad would have been fine.
