A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island. So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything was booked and I flew in last Saturday week after a bit of a delay. So after a great few days at Mega central in Dunedin its time to say goodbye. So Day 10 of my Mega NZ trip begins and Im on my own again and so its time to head South to Invercargill which is my next stop for a couple of days.Well I have nearly reached my destination and one more stop before checking in to my accomadation. It was a great drive along the scenic route. The end of the cache is missing so I placed a pic of paper in there. Thanks AnnieLin TFTC.

Tftc a quick find

I guess when I really analyse it my initial pronunciation is Tiz-brie. My mother was brought up here but further down the road towards Gorge Rd. My aunt used to tell us Mum had the highest mark for matriculation on the school honours board in over 100 years but Mum never confirmed or denied this so I've always been interested to come when the school is open to see if the board is still there and see if that was correct. Too late for that today. My eldest brother also attended the school until Newfield School opened and the other brother used to work at the cheese factory in his university holidays - I see that is currently a wool processing place. Long story short I found the cache while out on a bit of a nostalgic drive round. TFTC # 20,517

It's Twosday, so between events I'm seeing how far up this last mountain I can climb.
Glad I took the little road instead of attempting to park roadside on the big road.
Cache soon spotted, and somehow is rather wet. Thank goodness for waterproof paper.
Thanks for the cache AnnieLin

Good wallpapering weather today! But it is a dot day and my challenge this year is to tick these all off. So despite the weather I set off, rather than tackle a particularly nastly corner, to pick this one up. Luckly rain held off as I picked some fruit. Now back to tackle the corner.

Cache 437 well I almost total pofared of today’s cache, today was so horribly muggy I said to myself I’ll grab my daily cache on the way home from work, went to work and got covered in so was only thinking about a nice hot shower all the way home, got in had my shower and had tea, started relaxing playing a silly puzzle game in my phone , 10pm rolled around and I went and hoped into bed and started watching some Netflix and getting sleepy went to turn off my phone then like a bolt of lightning ️ my brain yelled you haven’t got a cache today......... panic stations, I threw on some clothes and selected a close green dot..... zoom zoom out to Tisbury I race, looked at the description and knowing the creative CO I knew in my head what I was looking for luckily the torch light made it so much easier. PHEW no long search in my sleepy haze. The streak was not broken today and I’m another day closer to 365 challenge T4TC Annielin it gets a fave point for saving my bacon last minute

Its splish splosh to get this one snagged and tagged. Cheers .

Tuesday 27 October. Checking out Invercargill again today. Lets go Toby!

Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

It was my turn for "date night" and I finally got my act together and organized a "date morning" seeing as we each had other plans for the afternoon. After a lovely morning couples pamper session we took the long way home to avenge our dot day. A cool wee hide here. Fave from me, I look forward to your hides. TFTC

The moment this was published, my mind was Buryed in other things, and instantly thought "another Annielin puzzle"... I'll solve it later when my brain was functioning.
I later discovered it Tis a trad, dumb me!
This morning, I was told to make no plans, and got whisked away for a massage and a coffee. I deserved it with all the work I been doing in the house lately.
Took the long way home, and Berryed my head in the bush to claim another smile and dot day.
Back home to mow the lawn before the upcoming snow storm, and then off to the rugby to watch the Stags bury North Harbour. Tis a great day, and tis deserves a fave.

16-Sep-20
It tis a berry for sure.
Ventured out after teatime and also after a big flash of lightening. So the roads were quite white wIth hail. The gravel road entry to gz had a water feature that had to be carefully crossed. Dot day finds. Tftc

I'm in the Tis Brie camp. My Pop dealt with just about every business in this area, had been life long friends with some of those property owners and even employed at one of his first jobs near here too. Our family would sometimes buy cheese by the five kilo block from the defunct Dairy factory up the road, and we still do business with the wool buyer every now and then; the intake pipe is still there at the front wall. The shed dawg is a bit timid and barks at anything but luvs his rugby ball. He could be intimidated by the big woofers across the road. The ghost tramway side road was also within walking distance of our residence to take the dawg on the quieter streets especially when the Tiwai traffic roared past so this road was a good safe walk, sometimes popping over to the club for a drink on Summer evenings. Why they never sealed this gravel road may have kept the speed down but it's still potholed. Boots on as the corridor is always a wet place but managed to stick to the high bits and found a whopper in the hide. Yum! I'm not too keen on the jam but luv them tinned, dried or freshly picked. We had some of Southland's largest farms near us and were always welcome to pick our own. Mom sometimes left some in the basket to take home ha ha. Grabbed the micro to sign log and replaced as found. Since International Travel is a non happening thing, we decided to do a bit of locals 7 Wonders of the World caching instead!

Thanks so much for taking the time to place this cache, weather was a tad wet, cold and windy today. But nothing stopped the Glenfelik family from getting out and about!

We have driven past this road on a daily basis and this if the first time we have ventured down this road!
