Out and about with MummaBear & the cubs exploring the wonders of the Sunny Coast and surrounding areas.
The goal for the day was to work towards this months challenge, so the main focus was to find caches with high favourite points and any others we’d come across.
We had a great day out and I’m sure we’ll be back again soon as we’re not even close to completing this months challenge.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Hmm, nav back and forth today on this one. I gave it a good while then the big, black tail disappearing into the rocks where my suspicions lay strongest were my impetus to cease my search. Another time, perhaps.
I'm usually not good with rock walls but the cache was where the GPS said it should be. Thanks sunshine58.
Found in a nicely hidden area, in a well made container, Thanks sunshine58, cache is in good condition
Okay, so the day started at 6am so that we could catch a few caches to help the geo-dad (Cliff5009) fill in a few holes in his Hidden Dates chart.
A bit of a drive up Bruce Highway early on a spring morning, during the school holidays, so traffic was not too bad.
So this was cache 13 for the day.
Moved the car again, parked real close. Running out of time before I have to head off back hone for work (oh, what a shame). Found GZ and had to look a bit for this one. Nice views of the lakes here. Also had the girls nearby celebrating buying new c ar.... Bunch of 20 year old having bought a Mercedes. Okay, have to love that.
Spotted the cache before geo-dad, and sent him in to garb it. I did not want to see any more snakes for the day. It now has our squiggles in the log.
Thank you very much for placing this cache.

#9 while out on the geo-scooter in Sippy Downs, with Duppers. TFTC, TFTH, TNLNSL & TFT
Love the effort gone into creating the container. We had a nice easy parking spot nearby and a lovely outlook. Thanks sunshine58
Out for a little excursion in Sippy Downs for the afternoon to find some actual caches after a big day yesterday in the city for my birthday mainly finding adventure labs. Had a rare Tuesday off work so finally decided to find some of these close to home. Parked just near here then walked along to several others. Ended up walking nearly 6km, but it didn't really seem that far at all. I don't usually do very well with rock walls but luckily this didn't take too long to find once got close to gz. There was a fast flowing creek down below and the grass still quite mushy with all this rain. Interesting gemmy container.

Afternoon out looking for caches to get geokid out from in front of the telly. Great spot. Cool container
sunshine58 I found your cache AMONGST NATURE on 20/4/2022, 9:50 am. This is my find 3384 and find # 2 today. Once the GPSR settled it was a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Found it. We were unsuccessful at a similar hide to this in a different location. So nice to find this one after a short search. TFTC
After waiting for some kids playing on their bikes and having an awesome time laughing and not one mobile phone to be seen. We did a stroll to tge cache, signed and returned. Tftc
A planned weekend trip up to the sunshine coast to grab a few caches. I still need a few more to get me closer to that sunshine coast challenge. The trip worked in well for the Sunday morning CITO event in Coolum.
I meet up with Esmiley and we spent Saturday, day and night, caching areas that neither of us had been to before. We were not certain if the recent rains and floods would have effected any of the caches but we gave it a shot.
We first of hit the Sippy Downs area and we had some fun. Many of the caches here took much longer than they should have; we spent way too much time trying to find simple caches. We then moved around the area and then towards the north, working our way to Coolum. However, time ran out and we had to stop for the day. It seemed as though the day was getting hotter as it went on and got even worse during the night.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches, some I kept notes on, some were just great caches and some I really do not understand why. We signed all logs with both names and replaced as we found them.
This was quick find and a little muddy.

Up at Nambour today for first badminton team event of 2022 and I didn't play too badly.
After taking many wrong turnings and long winded detours, I eventually managed to find the university at Sippy Downs to pick me up a few caches.
I spotted the likely hidey spot for this cache as I walked along the path. The hardest part was reaching the cache without getting to muddy.
Thanks!!

D 1.5 T 1.5 Small Traditional Cache
Fun day with chamad aiming to get 150 caches to qualify for the Sunshine Coast Challenge . Picking up caches from Sippy Downs, went south to Meridan Plains, clear out DNFs in Currimundi and finishing up at Foote Sanctuary area.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here sunshine58. Another quick easy find by chamad. Thought we were avenging a DNF from a different area when we arrived so my gps was way off. That's my excuse.

Our last cache before lunch and despite the tradies across the road it was PirateLinda who called “got it”… a unique piece of camo… tftc…
Checking on my caches in the area. This one was well over due for some camouflage. Ready to rock n roll again.
Just as well Mrs.R was along today because I was looking in the wrong place. TFTC.
Went back a second time and still it alludes me. DEMS4 found it the day I first took this challenge. Seeing their accomplishment lit the fire for me to go back but at last it still is invisible to my eyes. The day I find it, will be the greatest day of my life.
Either it's extremely well hidden or just didn't get the clue on it's location.
We were concerned since the person before didn't find it. So many hiding spots but the cache soon showed itself. Tftc.
Out for afternoon dog walk with the geohound, thought I'd try for a couple of caches if the coast was clear and what do you know nobody here today. TFTC TNLNSL.
Nice find. Cute container. Didn’t take too long although the go’s was 6m out

Up the Sunshine Coast ( no make that Rain Central) for a couple of days got an early start so decided to slip in to Sippy to clear a few remaining caches.
Kept wondering along the paths picking up caches along the way, umbrella in hand. Relatively muggle few day.

Almost a DNF here. Wandered up looking with no luck. Wandered back and just spotted something that prompted a closer look. Nice container.
A lovely wander around this area this morning led me to this cache which was found after a little poke here and there. Very quiet and peaceful here today. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Sunshine58.
