Today was the day I was aiming to achieve three things 1000 caches in 2024, 7000 caches all up and 200 caches in a day (my previous record was 121). Easily achieved all three in 13 hours between 06:00 and 19:00. Was a glorious spring day on the back roads around Yass.Continuing down the road - wet grass at this time. Heard an Eurasian Skylark while signing the log - first one for a few years. Satin Bowerbirds are an occasional back yard bird at my house in Albury.TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

solved this series before leaving on this holiday. Quick find.Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.

Day 3 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today was power trail day, due to a lack of time we focused on letterboxes, puzzles and wherigoes. All but two we looked for we found and I am sure the others were there but we could only put so much time into hunting. The ladder got a good workout, and I chatted to a few locals who stopped to check on me and made sure I was ok. Any caches that needed some attention got it. Tonight we got to ACT and our accommodation for a week, yay to unpacking once SmileThanks to DARKSIDEDAN from mogni RazzRed FaceBig Grin

Got above everyones head!We hatched a plan to make a visit to Yass a couple of months ago. as The Roos (bdp, kiwisteve2, no1gardengirl, drobbonz and kimmy533) from Ryde Orange and Salem Oregon.Headed out from our pub in Yass early this morning and aimed ourselves at all these caches and adventure labs. Clearing a lot of the town caches, then we headed for another trail of challenge caches intermixed with whereigos. The road got a little wet and a number of creek crossings were required. Lots of fun and laughter. Thanks to all the COs for all the hard work put into the placement, write ups and maintenence.Apologies for the cut and paste logs but 70 plus caches each day gets brutal.Unless noted, all caches were in good order.Tftc

I arrived in Yass earlier than expected, so after checking in to my accommodation, I headed out to find a few caches. I had made an offline list that was downloading as I drove. I didn't realise that it had glitched until I arrived at the first cache. This meant that all the caches I had wanted to download were not on my phone. I tried again, without luck. Oh well, some caches are better than none and I will try to download a new offline list another day. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC

After a busy few days in Canberra for the Capital Geo Bash mega event, I spent a night in Yass before slowly making my way back home to Adelaide. I have been targeting solved puzzles caches and any high Difficulty or Terrain caches. In the afternoon I tackled some of the Challenge and Where I Go caches South of Yass. There sure are a lot of them!I had a few DNFs along the way but given Im caching solo, I managed quite a haul this afternoon. There was a lot of variation in hides, many requiring a TOTT which are always fun. Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. We have commenced our raid on Yass. All logs have been signed as WA to save space, abbreviation for our team of cachers from Western Australia, who are cleaning up the series together. Cheers DARKSIDEDAN! More big days of caching as WAC consisting of Lachlan1.77, Leg5, neva2old, Barnzy12 and me. So many caches, so little time. Too many tree climbs for my liking but Im a chicken from way back. The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 3 and we had an absolute blast, after an earlier night last night we got up early to head to Yass and the surrounding areas to cleanup a bunch of caches inparticular whereigos and our personal favourite the challenge caches. We stopped in Yass and completed some high quality caches before venturing back to the trails. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Reperio 18:04The youngest and I got up early this morning from our overnight camping spot to hit the trails around Yass and beyond. The day turned out to be a fantastic day of finding all sorts of caches, in all sorts of varying degree of difficulty and terrain, and totally around 160 finds. With only a handful of DNfs thrown into the mix, it was one of the better days out Ive had in the last few years. Yass/Canberra trip. Day One My son and I headed off on our annual caching trip. Of late its around 7 days away. I found 13 caches today most were found for a challenge and the other was found for my 20th loop. Yippee All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find. Day Two9 found today I was picking up a new LGA. In the end I needed to pickup the speed and less caching. The push to Yass was that the office closed at 6pm. All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find.Day Three. My son and I were up early for day of caching. We headed to Canberra chasing a lot of challenges. I signed 31 challenges today. I will need to find which ones I qualify for. I also found three trads. One of them took awhile to find.I had a good day caching in Canberra. Day FourMy Son stayed at the caravan park today. I had organise to cache with JACS Team today. With a late message from GreenGecko1 about getting help with a very big ladder to do some hard to get to caches. So few of this morning caches Sue001 joined us. Most of the climbs were done by GreenGecko1. The rest of the day JACS team and race up and down the road finding and signing log. I signed 43 challenges and 12 other caches. It was a found day today caching.Day 5, My son and I headed to Canberra again today to sign more challenge caches. In the end it was 31 caches. Then I decided to chase virtual as I couldnt find many in SEQ. I did 10 today. Plus finish with a multi. My son and I had really good fun day. Then we headed back to Yass.Day 6,Today meet with JACS Team. We had a very big list. In the end we signed 103 today. How many can I remember not many. A few tree climb a lot on the ground. We replace a few caches. But of course we didnt have enough caches with us. We had a fun day. DARKSIDEDAN thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment.

Day 2 out and about with BrisLions as we undertake a massive Wherigo and Challenge cache haul throughout the Yass region - along with some bonus letterboxes. It was a beautiful days drive where we saw an echidna strolling across the road and plenty of the countryside. The day ended with an impressive number of finds and two very tired cachers. Huge thanks to BL who did the ascents where needed. Most cachers were found in okay condition and some running repairs where employed where we could.

Cache found and log signed with dalerious Razz. This was the first of this awesome series. As one of my hobbies is Ornithology, it was a pleasure to work through each of the species.Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for your immense contribution to this awesome game Big Grin.We came to Canberra with an immense and impressive list of caches. There was a huge variety and types, covering Yass and Goulburn as well Cool. The priority for us this trip, was to sign as many Challenge caches as we could. There were many we had to hike for Big Grin. There were a few that were not found which was disappointing, but plenty that were found and signed. Some beautiful country was covered by foot and vehicle, and we had a ball.I will be using this generic log for all of the caches, but I will mention if there was an issue with the hide, container or log where possible Big Grin. Please accept my humble thanks for all CO's effort on placing out these awesome caches.

Really not sure where we are supposed to park to access these ones. Red FaceFound with catnap777 on the first day of our short holiday caching in NSW and the ACT. CoolWith all our ducks in a row before we arrived, we didn't have to wing anything. RazzMy bird and I had a lot of luck flying through this avian series with hardly a hitch leaving us feeling a whole lot more like wise old owls than a pair of geese. WinkAgain cat' and I had a long list and a tight schedule, and with these Wherigo caches high on that wish list, again we have been amazed at what we can achieve in the time we have. Heading back from Canberra to Melbourne, I headed on a quick divert near Yass before hitting the highway. Thanks from D B-A

31-Jul-23
Another lovely sunny day. Started in Jugiong and traveled to the ACT.
Collected a pile of birds and a few challenges before lunch in Yass.
Common Road is in good condition and was a pleasure to drive.
However Black Range Road was being excavated! The machinery was right on the corner, so I turned east however I could not stop for a while as the road didn't allow it.
Eventually I could start caching again.
Hopefully this means the other end of the road will now be in better condition.
Thanks, Robmc.

We are visiting Australia from Florida, USA for a multi-week vacation which will have us visiting two states in Australia (Tasmania and the ACT) we missed in 2014 followed by 28 days on the Ovation of the Seas including New Zealand and a Transpacific to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Today was our ninth day of the trip, after flying form Hobart to Sydney yesterday afternoon we made the drive to Canberra (Dickson) arriving after sunset. With it being Friday we decided to avoid Capital Hill since we saw a series of challenges and Wherigo caches to the northwest of Yass. We would also manage to do three sets of Adventures Labs in the Yass area and then another three sets with a walk around the CBD before having dinner and calling it a night.

We had a good time solving than finding these Wherigo caches, we had to bypass some as we didn't have the right TOTT to retrieve them. Thanks for all the hard work that went into creating this fun series. tftc!!

Making the most of our short stay in NSW while visiting family we targeted some caches on our journey north. After free camping in Bowning we set off once again to enjoy some easy and not so easy caching in this area of plentiful trails, despite the heat of the day.
A stretch and we had it in hand.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the Wherigo placement.

Day 2 of my trip up to Yass with Cybergran. The forecast was not good but we made an early start here.
The road was well sealed but unluckily after 14 caches we had to turn around with a road closed sign.
However up until that point the caches were again fun. One DNF in here but a good mix of interesting hides, wherigos and challenges.
The grass was again really long and also wet with the showers that began early but were only fleeting.
Cheers

With another day predicted to have no rain and very light winds we took our chances and headed out onto the trails again. This time both north and south of town.
Plenty of Challenge Caches, most of which we qualify for as well as information sessions on Birds of Australia, Snakes of the World and an AHH. Some involved Reverse Wherigos.
Mrs SKI's highlight of the day was a freestyle tree climb she performed for a find.
Some differing hides and differing terrains, and of course some high Ts we had to walk away from. We appreciated a variety of cache style including trads, multis, puzzles, challenges and Wherigos.
Another satisfying and busy day.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache DARKSIDEDAN.

Definitely above mine! Head height that is. Lucky me has satin bower birds at home. Out and about on the MTB so the sprint between each cache will determine how many I do - not so many solo Having said that it’s great cycling terrain and I’m more likely to spot some feathered friends than if in a car. The info provided on each of the birds in the series is varied and informative for the ‘linguist’ too! Worked out the co-ordinates last night so I could enjoy the arvo. And what a great idea to stop over in Yass for a few days enroute to our ‘esteemed’ National capital Canberra for the NFF. The remarkable old buildings and stories of Yass’ past have been fascinating- being south of the border I didn’t know much it seems . Nice to be out in the rolling hills. Cache found in good nic. #13392 - 9:17:00 AM; On another mission west of Yass with Sol de lune to collect caches in the "Birds" series, plus some more of the challenge caches in the area. Only 1 DNF today, which is half the number of possums we found in cache hides! A previous DNF was avenged and a couple of the cache logs were sodden and couldn't be written on [B)]. The remaining caches were in good order and now have our names on the logs, including 5 x T5 seeing we brought the required ToTT for this missionCool. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN Smile

**This Cache**
A quick and easy find in the wet bush roadside. The road was very quiet and had it mostly to ourselves. It sprinkled on and off but it too light to cause any issues. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.

**Our Day**
Today was too wet for us to hike or cycle on dirt tracks so decided to chase WINDMILL data for the Great Aussie Icon series. Late morning we headed out after a good sleep-in.

As we were heading to Murrumbateman and Yass collecting the required information we decided to pick up a few Challenge mysteries, Wherigos and the odd Traditional. However, we only stopped for traditional caches if we passed them on the road. With so many caches to choose from these days we do get a bit picky when time is of the essence as we needed to be home by mid afternoon. The sun ️ came out after lunch so it was very pleasant to finish up in beautiful weather. Another productive day in the office.

Time to finish off the Black Range Rd wherigos. All attempted were found and in good condition. Most were straightforward although some took a bit of a hunt.
Passed on the T5 ones today as I had neither a TOTT nor a geopartner. Another day perhaps TFTC and the series DSD.

Day out in the Yass area. Quickly found. Signed and replaced. Thanks for all the new caches in the area.

This weekend from 17-21/06/2021, I joined georode and gridge98 in visiting our nation's capital, Canberra for geocaching adventures. We prioritised the higher difficulty-terrain combinations, as well as the more special/unique cache types.
On Thursday, I largely spent the day solo and visited Black Hill lookout, the Botanic Gardens, Australian National University and nearby Canberra Central, and then gridge98 and I walked around the front of Parliament area in Parkes.
Friday was spent completing a few hikes in Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve and Kowen Escarpment Nature Reserve, before then meeting locals at a Friday evening dinner event.
Saturday was predominantly the UFO series in Bullen Range Conservation Reserve, targeting the higher terrain ridge area.
On Sunday, we arose to the morning's CITO event, before returning to Goorooyarroo Reserve for more walking around those hills.
Finally on Monday, gridge98 and I headed north to Yass for the Birds of Australia Wherigo series, a few climbing caches, and returning to ACT completing the UGC series.

Today, it was an early day losing georode returning to Queensland, but otherwise, gridge98 and I headed north to Yass. We visited a few spots and completed the *Dark Past* Adventure Lab, before commencing north with a few *By request* geocaches, and then the *Birds of Australia* Wherigo series intermixed with the *Challenge Cache* series.
Following a bakery lunch, we returned via a few attractive D/T *Dragonstone* geocaches, to then complete the University of Geocaching Canberra (UGC) series. Our final stop of the day was Mount Painter finding Canberra's oldest geocache, *Canberra Nature Park*. We then made the dash to the airport to formally end our trip to our nation's capital.

We managed to solve this series prior to our trip, in preparation for today. We drove the corresponding road, making a stop at this geocache to find this cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. This was a great series that rivals SA's famous Wherigo power trails. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today Davidwazza and I headed to Yass for the wherigo series, and stopped by this one for a quick and easy find

This weekend I headed to Canberra with Davidwazza and Georode after being asked a month or so ago if I would like to join them for 4 days, planning occurred and a list of 110 targets were chosen consisting of DTs, oldies and special cache types.

Day 1, I arrived in the evening and headed out with David Wazza for a few hours before georodes arrival, we headed to capital hill to find some random caches in the freezing cold.

Day 2, we set off early in the morning for a half day hike around Goorooyarro Park collecting all the puzzles and a few trads in the area, after lunch we had walked 17km for the morning, off we headed to kowen forest for some of the CBR wherigos, half way around it started to pour so called it early and thought doing the drive bys in the series would be a much better idea, in the evening we went to an event and was great to meet a few locals.

Day 3, we set off before the sun had risen for the main target of the day, the UFO series, with so many in the series we focused on the ones along the fire trail and a few in the paddocks, despite being buggered we walked another 18km for the day, in the afternoon we targeted some of our target list in the southern area

Day 4, after a morning CITO we headed back to Goorooyarra Park to complete the remaining caches in the area and finish the L and P plate series, another walk completed over 15km for the trip, in the afternoon we drove around the northern suburbs collecting caches off our target list

Day 5, after dropping georode off at the airport, davidwazza and I headed to Yass for the birds of Australia series and a few of the challenges in the area, after completing the caches we headed back to Canberra past a few caches before attacking the entire UGC series, being tight for time the trip wouldn’t have been complete without going to the Canberra nature park to collect the oldest caches

Total of 356 caches plus a few labs along the way,

Thanks for the caches and their placements

On a sunny Winter's morning took to the road seemingly less travelled to find a good number of Challenge and Wherigos mixed with the odd traditional here and there.

Things started well with several fast finds, but things quickly turned a tad nasty when a local nutbag pulled up beside me in his large manly white 4wd ute (rego details available on request) and accused me of taking photos of his property. While I had my iPhone in my hand, the closest I came to taking photos of his long grass and piles of dirt, from a PUBLIC ROAD, was that I was actually carrying the iPhone in my hand. After I pretty much ignored him completely, including his questions as to where I was from I did give him a quick explanation about what Geocaching was, as opposed to ones rights from said public road. 'Never heard of it' was his reply, to which I replied 'well you can follow me along the road for the next 2.5 hours and watch me do exactly the same'. A school mini bus then pulled up next to him where they commenced some sort of conversation to which I was not privy to.

As I was finishing off my draft log, including a few details of the conversation they both suddenly left, without even a pleasantry mind you, and the last I saw of either of them was his TWO MASSIVE BLACK AND WHITE SPOTTED GREAT DANES staring straight back at me as he disappeared off down the road.

With the departure of the crazy cropper I continued on my way without further issue. Up and over hill and dale through some wonderful back road scenery. Eventually rejoined the highway where I turned West for a few major road hides. On my return there was further interaction with a local, this time a member of the constabulary. A quick breathalyser test later and I was back on my merry way.

Pulling into Yass I successfully revisited a previous sneaky DNF and quickie a little further down the road. From there it was straight back to the big smoke just in time for school pickup.

A successful day overall, 1 deluded farmer, 1 pleasant law enforcement officer, 40 finds and 1 DNF.

Apologies for the generic log, anything of further interest added at the end of log. TNLNSL TFTC

We enjoyed the birds featured in each of the Wherigo puzzles and it was fitting today that while we looked for the Birds of Australia caches we saw very many birds, in particular parrots, cockatoos and galahs.

With the appropriate tool, we had coordinates for the cache. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find, although it was a bit of a stretch to retrieve the cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for this cache and the series.

Today's goal, finishing the challenge and Australian bird series and then getting back home in time. Had all the required gear with and even though some where tricky I managed to find all. Great series with a lot of variation.

#7229 A beautiful autumn day was calling and so I looked for some worthy geo-targets. I felt the need to get out of town as I've been a bit tied down this week, so I cast my eye northward and found a power trail of WhereIGos to consume some time. I had all these solved before heading off, so it was off to catch some birds. I've still got an injured shoulder and no climbing was possible, so I skipped about 3 from memory. Roads were very quiet. Favorites were the bridge and the cliff-hanger, which, surprisingly, I managed to get. But it was hairy !

T3 ? Not for me ! Left TB

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN

Thanks heaps for the cache series!!.. was really enjoyed and had heaps of fun!. But I think I might finish of this series on a push bike or something, The start and stop of my car engine cant be doing it any favors!. My starter motor sure did get a workout today.

Sorry about the generic copy and paste logs, when I end up finding the last of the series ill leave a detailed log about my adventures!

All caches are in good working condition unless otherwise stated.

As we seem to have some time today, we are going to do our best to find some of this series whilst we are here. Thanks for the cache.

Pleased to say that we found this whilst getting as many of the challenges in the area as we could. Thanks for the cache and everything that goes along with placing it.

We decided to come down for the weekend to do the WIG's then as a bonus the challenges were published. We had a successful day finding 90 caches plus GC8NEAT as we picked up rubbish along the way. Most caches were a quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Darksidedan for these series.
I solved this series some months back.

TFTC,
A generic log today. We planned on visiting the area to do the WhereIGo caches some time ago but other activities got in the way. Then we saw all the Challenge caches that were published last week and since we had a free day, came down and had a go at them.
We have also been wondering when to do GC8NEAT and found ourselves picking up rubish as we went along so our 8 hour caching day with 90 finds was also used as a special CITO.

Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.

Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.

The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some interesting caches along the way.

We worked our way around these Wherigos and the challenge cache series over an afternoon and the following morning. There were some challenging hides along the way, but we managed to find and sign them all.

I often like to have a bit of a look through some of the log books when I do these types of cache trails. I was disappointed, but not surprised to find names missing from logbooks in some of caches, including this one, despite being logged online. A bit disrespectful to the CO and those who have made the effort to actually find the cache I think.

Thanks e.gregory1 for the the cache.

Found on a trip around central New South Wales with e.gregory1. Our original plans were to travel through Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba to attend the Dayboro event in Queensland and return via Port Macquarie and central NSW, but a series of events that included road closures due to flooding in southern inland Queensland, a covid outbreak in Brisbane and widespread storm damage and road closures along the north coast of NSW resulted in multiple changes of plans during the trip. As it eventuated our travels took us to central New South Wales, on a route from Broken Hill to Cobar, Nyngan, and Gunnedah from where we meandered southwards through some great scenery and historic towns that included Dunedoo, Wellington, Cowra and Yass. We then headed in a roughly westerly direction through to Temora, Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Swan Hill before making a final dash for home. All up we found a good mix of Traditionals, Puzzle Caches, Multicaches, Adventure Labs, Wherigos, Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids and Virtual Caches on a very entertaining and enjoyable trip. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN!

Day 4 of the Canberra adventure. A slight change in plans today in order to team up with a local geocacher to complete the Yass series. Made a start on the trail early and will join up with Search 4 late morning.

An easy one for tall people.

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and this series.

On my way east, I stopped for this trail of challenges and Whereigos.
Most challenges I have already met, those that I don't are usually high altitude or overseas criteria needed.
The Whereigos all solved at home, prior to travel. A wonderful array of birds we have here in our country!

A quick find on this one.

After three days based in Queanbeyan and caching around the area it was time for some members to attend to other commitments. We enjoyed a day's adventure n the great company of Alansee, Good Look, Micaparamedic and ourselves, starting in Yass and heading south west. To economise on log space we used the four first letters of our cache names: 'PHAGM'.

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for creating this Wherigo series, with such fascinating info on each cache page.

WOO HOO, gotta love a wherigo series!

We wrote "PHAGM" to save space in the logs - today that represented 4 teams caching together: Phetlern, Alansee, GoodLook (me) and the lovely micaparamedic.

2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip that was planned at the Clear Waters mega was able to occur.

Adelaide, Victoria, NSW and Canberra - a decent drive, filled with various caching activities including Adventure Labs.

Several days caching with the awesome Team Crackers, gorgeous The Drovers, fab Phetlern, cool Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.

We laughed, sang to a vast variety of songs and chatted - almost non-stop! Cool[^] We piled into cars and had such a fun time. Despite the light showers, windy conditions at times, we also had sunny days to enjoy caching in.

A sincere thanks to DARKSIDEDAN for placing these wherigo caches, an enjoyable little series. Big Grin

Catching up with some late logs
An unexpected trip to NSW saw us with some spare time, as we had not planned anything we concentrated on Adventure Labs but we were really enjoying this series and the information on the cache pages, a lot we did not know.
This was a great ides for a series but with so many found in one day it is hard to keep track of the hides so we apologise for the generic logs.
This does not mean we do not appreciate the effort you put into this series as we really do..
Many thanks again DARKSIDEDAN

Tankengine and I were coming out today with the main aim of collecting the Challenge Caches and Whereigo trails.

It was a good day all up, except the cranky farmer who there was no way I could calm him down. He was storming out of the car with his mind set already jammed into angry. It was hard not to disagree with him. But both farmers we met have noticed the geocachers. And although one was polite he wouldn’t have stopped unless he was concerned. But this made us go quicker and we were all done by lunchtime.

And we wanted these for their great D/Ts and the numbers. Really why else would anyone bother. Plus I wanted them before (like most of these caches) they become lost and archived. Thankfully today we found them all and not one dnf. Some caches were damp and wet, but all logs dry enough to sign.

The geoart looks odd, guess it’s harder to pull off than I thought. We were both very happy to just get them done.

Thank you Tankengine for ALL the driving, assistance and retrieval of those trickier ones.

This cache: Straightforward find with nothing interesting to report. Tftc.

Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73! We decided to come out here and find this power trail sooner rather than later, because, from experience these trails get harder over time! The caches get into disrepair, some go missing and the farmers get ever angrier... The good news is, we had no DNFs at all today, and the caches were all in pretty good condition! So that is a good thing! As for the farmers, well that was a mixed bag! The first one was a little apprehensive at first, but dty73’s charm won him over, and we ended out having a nice conversation! However, no such luck for the second farmer! He said he knew what was going on and he was very angry! Dty73’s charm failed completely here. He took a photo of my numberplate, and left in a very grumpy mood!

One thing I noticed before heading out, is that the geoart was all wonky? Did the software let you down? Dunno, it is a pity...

I must agree with one of the second farmers gripes! Parking possibilities, especially past the half-way mark were very poor! It meant that other cars needed to go bush to pass you! It is a single lane road, and the shoulders are very narrow to non-existent!

We did have some fun at one point very near the end, where a fallen tree was smashed across the road! It looks like some big 4wds have driven over it, but we decided to clear all the debris to make for a safer crossing! See - what are the farmers complaining about - we are providing a service here!

All in all, we had a fun day (well except for the second farmer)! Thanks for the caches DSD!

With Domsky we ventured out to Yass to attempt this power trail. A hot day caused our geodog to choose to stay in the airconditioned car and send us out on our own to search for these. Quick finds for the most part at GZ. A lovely way to spend the day. Thanks for this series DarkSideDan!
