A quick find by Mrs H whilst enjoying a weekend in the area. TFTCCheers,The Hancock Clan
Today we have had a big caching trip to Port Sorrel looking for as many caches as we could find in my quest to get to our next milestone by the end of November. Weve got no chance but definitely have no chance if we dont even try. As most caches required shanks pony our numbers were limited to around 30 finds for the day along with 3 dnf. Our primary focus to begin with was the 4 low tide caches all of which were successfully found. We then spent a while at Squeaking Point before a walk along the main trail near Hawley Beach. Thanks mainly to Spreyton and Angus88 for the bulk of our finds and of course to all the other hiders for adding enjoyment to our day. I walked 20,000 steps and 15km.Thanks to recent maintenance on this one this was a nice quick find. TFTC Angus
Thanks for the Cache Find#264Find(GCA)#5Find (Total)#269Search/SL Time=2M/16:04Device= S24 (Exynos)
good took 10 minutes and for people who did not find it under the bridge some where
We were caching via kayak with tassietan. As the tide was going out we beached near the boat ramp and made our way on foot. I looked and looked, banged my head a number of times and decided the cache was missing. tassietan came to assist with the search and found it immediately! Talk about cache blindness!!!Thanks for the cache Angus88
The Roadies were just finishing the Muddy Mary AdLab so of course we had a look for this one as we wandered along the footbridge. Some looked high while others looked low. The cache was found in the end. Luckily the crabs didnt get us. Thanks for the cache Angus88.
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Introducing a friend to caching and out for a walk at low tide, to pick up a few. An easy enough find at GZ. Lots of crabs. Thanks Angus88 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
#751 ~ Sent Krossbo the troll for this one. Last cache for the day. TFTC Angus88!!
Nice find with Muddtrax on our Tassie trek, with the helpful hints. Good view TFTC
It's all about the timing with this one, tried and failed a week ago but today was perfect!
TFTC - Angus88.After a good feed in Ulverstone, then a shower and bed in Penguin last night, we're back for a few more caches, one in particular where the GZ was unknown, that we unknowingly walked past yesterday. Not wanting to repeat that faux pas we're doing the nearby Ad Lab to check the Bonus's coordinates. On a circuitous route, we needed to cross the footbridge, so this cache immediately became a target. One up, one down, cache found, tossed up, log signed, tossed down, replaced.Lucky the tide was well out, as just prior to the find, I dropped my reading glasses down into the mud, but they were easily retrieved by the troll down under. Phew!Found it - with AlbyDangles on another northern excursion. Thanks, for this caching experience.Cheers, EPs. 3678 - Sunday 24th September 2023@1000hrs
Hello Angus88 thank you for the cacheEeePees was the goat counting to ten while I was the troll who snaffled up the cache.Found on Sunday, 24 September 2023 at 1037Another great weekend caching with EeePees.**TFTC**
We took advantage of the very low tide while we were walking here to grab the cache on the way past.

Angus, you tricked us. We thought the ground was really soft. Got it, signed it. TFTC
This cache was #5 and last in the tidal hunt series which was quickly found.
Cache may have crept a bit as I counted 9.
Cache and log in top nick.
Many thanks Angus88, thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.

Am interesting spot especially when tide is out. Enjoyed exploring the shoreline and under walkway bridge. Luckily tide was out today caching with The X-Trailers. TFTC.
After walking on the bridge and getting to the spot I quickly realised it’s going to be under the bridge! Once under the cache was a very quick find!
All good condition thanks for the find!
All good condition thanks for the find!
While visiting the area today and exploring we stopped and found this cache.
We only just found it in time. We'd walked to the other side of the bridge and by the time we returned the tide was coming in.

A very cool hide. Lucky to be wandering past at low tide. Thanks for the cache!
Out caching with family on a beautiful afternoon. We'd tried this one once before without success so came back to give it another go. Today it was found fairly quickly by the younger members of the combined teams. TFTC
Another walk bridge hide... these are usual seriously cool and this one didn't disappoint.
I took the high road at first but that soon changed. Fearing i would sink to my knees it was plain sailing on my way out to GZ. With the 'count' done it was found in the 4th place i looked... it was in a sneaky spot

At first, I thought it was up but then read other people's posts and realized it was under. Lucky the tied was out so down I went. Had a good look and couldn't see the cache but then looked at a different angle and soon came up with trumps.
Found on a very cold windy day
Thanks, Angus 88 for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Today we are heading to the Port Sorrell area to collect many of the newish caches that have been placed in recent times.
Another nice stroll to gz. It was definitely very, very low tide. An amazing amount of crabs scurrying around on the mud flats. Cache quickly located logged and replaced before the muggle dog walkers came from both ends. TFTC

With Easter off from work, it was a good opportunity to try and close the gap on my target for the year. 500 finds for the year is the target, and this run brought me up to 230 odd, so only 3 months in I am on track for this target.
The highlight (and hardest part of this day) was the walk out to the cache Lieu-Pine-Ner at Point Sorell. The walk was challenging due to the number of rocks being very uneven. I was hoping 2 hours, but in the end it took 3 hours. Geo Kid O was still going strong at the end, but it had taxed me.
Thank you for placing this cache and maintaining it.
Ok - we were lucky to find this given the conditions were in favour

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers around Port Sorell, Squeaking Point, Shearwater and Hawley area and this was one that was targetted. An absolutely glorious day to be out caching. TFTC
So, now its 5pm, low tide and a DNF from yesterday beckons, especially as the CO who is in town has so promptly attended to this missing cache. Quickly found because of prior knowledge, and we have no doubts this one will survive for many a year from now on. Well done Angus88.
Mary Creek Walkway has been replaced. New cache. New log. Same location. Hopefully more secure. Please replace as found.
There are about 58 caches hereabouts on our 'still to do list' The silly season is over and we are camping in the lovely quiet caravan park. Got our bikes on board which will get us to the coffee shops and many of our missing caches. Unfortunately this one is dead in the water ..... literally. We found the empty duct taped container (no lid .... no contents) near the shore on the mud after spending a fair bit of time around number 10. So looks like its fallen off again or been muggled.
