After being away for a bit it is now back to suburban or rural caches after work to try and beat my last streak of 67.It is just a personal challenge that Im working on and Im going to try and make it to 200 which will be over 1/2 way for the year and that will do me.So it is now decision time to either take a small detour on the way home or a larger detour on the way home to find a cache to keep this streak going. Not much of a detour as I can go home this way in a very round about fashion.Parked the Geowagon and off I went along the pathway towards GZ enjoying the afternoons winter sun compared to the rain from yesterday. It was late enough in the afternoon so I missed the school kids who take this path.Looked in a few spots, under this and under that and soon came up with the cache.I added my name to the log and I was on my way. Thanks SupPup12 TFTC.

I found this cache on my Mega Walk #27 - a 29,000 step walk through Essendon, Niddrie, and Maribyrnong. Walking from Valley Lake down to Buckley Street on a path that I had not cached on before. Whew, that was a bit of a walk up. Wondered why the cache was not coming out but it was attached. Thanks from D B-A

Found while taking a Sunday stroll along the creek with geopup. Had to wait for a few muggles to walk and cycle through the area before we had the chance to grab the hide.TFTC Smile

25-Apr-24
Needing some exercise in the form of a walk combined with fitfully working towards a challenge saw me travel over (once again) to Moonee Ponds for some caching up and down the Maribyrnong and Steele Creek. I started at Canning Reserve which hosted not only picnicking families of various ethnicities but crowds watching two local sides play footy on Anzac Day, a fitting tradition. I'd like to claim that all caches were found in good condition but unfortunately two of them required photo proof given the difficulties surrounding extracting them from their hides. My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. Many thanks to the the COs for putting out the caches found during this walk.----After some uphill walking I came to a reasonable rarity, a regular sized cache hidden in an urban context. Unfortunately it appears that muggles discovered it and have replaced the container with their own empty water bottle. The cache is still proximate but is now inaccessible from the path unless you are Andre the Giant or have a litter picker handy without trampling all over the screening vegetation. I have forwarded photo proof of having found the cache to the CO. I have also respected his/her wish to not have the vegetation trampled when finding the cache and thus not put ink to paper. If this is seen to be a bridge too far re the rule applying to finds, feel free to delete my log and I will come back with a litter picker in an attempt to not do damage to the screening vegetation. If that proves insufficient I will disregard the expressed wish and trample the vegetation in order to retrieve the cache.

Nice!

31-Dec-23
Checked in today, container is still there, however it is much more overgrown than before. I'll look around the area for the possibility of relocating the container to another place a little more accessible.

30-Dec-23
Only had a quick look so DNF. It's left us very perplexed as to how we couldn't find a 900ml container, so we'll be back! TFTC anyway Smile

19-Dec-23
I needed to do a pickup in Tullamarine, so I went a little early to look for some caches along the way. I checked out a few places before getting it right. Thanks to SupPup12 for the cache.

16-Jul-23
I had already found a cache this morning to continue my streak but when the weather turned out pretty good and Kristysadventures strongly suggested I try out the new scooter this afternoon (just so she could use my other one I'm sure). So we took an afternoon trip out this way and they have done a really good job of using this old quarry for housing.
We cruised around getting the ad lab and then along the bike trail southwards until it started getting dark and we headed back a different way with the lights on and a very fun afternoon was had.
I had a really rubbish look for this one but once Kristysadventures had a proper look the cache was soon signed.
Thanks SupPup12 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

16-Jul-23
As my guests were weary after the marathon race in the city, I left them to nap and I hatched a quick plan with spiffy- to test out his new speedy scooter on this rare sunny winter's day.

We started out at the quarry and for this part of the trail, I tested out the new dragonfly scooter. it was a smooth swift ride and we were very soon at GZ.

There was a little bit of rubbish at GZ but the cache was large enough to spot and our names were soon in the log before muggles appeared in all directions.

Thanks for pointing out the tunnel which we then scooted through to the next adventure.

*Cache find # 14743.*

After the nearby CITO event was finished, I headed over to Valley Lake area and after a bit of a stroll around the area with McLookers & micaparamedic, I then headed off on my own on my bike and stopped by this one.
This one was a little further up than I first thought it may have been but found it in the end.

**Thanks to SupPup12 for placing this cache.**

I found it yesterday with my mate, first one we ever found, did some drawings in the notebook, didn’t take anything but my mate used up a decent amount of bubbles blowing them in my face while I was drawing,

Don’t judge the drawing I did them in 5 minutes the dude I drew looks sad asf and he is now “the lonely geo man”

Some after-work caching with Geoturtle37, exploring this side of town.
A scramble to reach gz, and made it back down just in time before a muggle appeared from the tunnel with a cute little puppy.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, SupPup12

Sadly,no sign of the cache, so disabling until I am able to get a replacement.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, searching all the area that a TR1.5 suggested, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
Unfortunately this 1.5/1.5 didn't want to show itself to us today!

Thanks for the hunt anyway SupPup12.

Out on a bike ride and passed right by gz so had to stop and search. I found this one just sort of tossed into the bushes and fairly visible. Luckily everything is still intact and I've hidden it back away where I suspect it was supposed to be according to the hint. Thanks for the cache SupPup12.

Nice hide! Although on a previous comment: if a cacher were eating Lunch when we went looking we would just say hi and have a laugh! You do you boo

Our third find! Cool hiding spot! There was no hand sanitizer though.

22-Aug-21
Found it, although a little frustrating when the previous finder decided to sit and eat lunch right were it's hidden. Tip, find your cache and move on. Your ruining it for others

18-Aug-21
Within my 5km, just too many muggles around for me to really search. Next time!

Maybe I’ll be luckier on a different day

02-Aug-21
I was working at my office which is over this side of town though little did I know with another lockdown imminent it would be my last time out this way for some time! Had done a bit of research on this one to scope out a good spot to park and once I had arrived there I continued on foot. A lovely view over the school playing fields here and not a spot that I have visited before. I had recently noticed a gap in my Jasmer stats where hadn't found a cache placed in September 2020 and this one also satisfied that criteria. A bit of searching in a few possible spots at GZ before the cache was in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache SupPup12.

Still in lockdown but it was good to do a long walk a bit further away from home. Tricky one to get with the muggle population being boosted by the lockdown...funny how restrictions mean people go to the parks. Thanks,
