I received a Daaaaaaaad call from my daughter in Waiuku so was making my way there but decided to take the long road and grab these 2 caches that have been bugging me. Arrived at GZ to hear an eel fisherman down stream who obviously was having a bad day going by the language that he was using. I soon realized that I had no phone coverage so would have to revert to old fashion geocaching. I therefore nearly joined him in a few choice words but thankfully didn't need to as the cache was quickly found and signed. Thank you for bringing me out here.
DragonDefender and I stopped here for morning tea along this road.
It has been a while since I have been along this road.
Cheers for the cache.

Who knew that we could get this remote just 1.5 hours away from NZ's largest city! Really enjoyed the scenery of the limestone rock formations, sure was a long and windy road to get this cache, but we got there just on dusk. The hint item had fallen, so MrNZT resurrected the hint. TFTC!
Out at the he coast here collecting fossils with the Auckland Geology Club. Stopped here to pick up the cache. Top had rusted so a little hard to open but managed to sign the log. Thanks tramyard.
As long as I was down this way, I continued to get this cache. I thought I was going to have to search a long way, but then I read the hint. TFTC.
Out and about with the elder Future Finder for a drive in the country and along the west coast. A fine if cool day for it. Of course, we stopped for some hides along the way. We parked up just along from GZ and I made the short walk back to access GZ. A brief search and I soon had the goods in hand. I grew up on a farm not to far from here, so, I am going to show the FF the property and related sites of interest. Cheers for the cache placement!
On a girls' road trip to Port Waikato with Supernanny, Nette1234 and Jag50. After completing the caches in the area we noticed 2 caches down this road so thought we would detour to get them. We weren't quite expecting so much metal road! But it added to the adventure. Now to find our way back to Auckland
Out on a great roadtrip with my 3 Auckland caching buddies!
Oh....one more tramyard cache....so we defintely had to continue...
Last cache of the day.... now time to wend our way home....maybe via a cafe if one is open!
Thanks to merlot58 for doing all the driving!

After a day in Port Waikato with Merlot58, Supernanny and Nette1234 for the day, we decided to take the long road home to Auckland and find this cache in the middle of nowhere. Another quick find here thanks to the hint. This was our last cache of the day (for most of the group) before heading to the Nikau cafe for refreshments and the return journey home.
could have parked in the middle of the road as it appeared we were the only people about.
thanks for the cache .
thanks for the cache .
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... It’s been a long time since we’ve done some strenuous walking... and today made it blatantly clear - We are unfit.
No one for miles, but we still felt a little expectant of traffic. A quick find... Thanks tramyard and TFTC.

We decided to explore "West Waikato" for the day as I have never been here before! We found quite a few amazing places and enjoyed finding the caches along the way. While at gz the car we overtook earlier passed us... story of geocaching... TFTC!!
Having lunch in Whatawhata and decided to go for a nice drive. Wanted to do the nearby sunset beach cache. This was further than I thought. No cell phone access here and my log didn't go through. Logged around 1615. Bonus a [FTF] TFTC. Certainly pretty remote and most likely not get many visits.
