Found and signed dsd or ab or darksidedan or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook. Thanks for the great cache and the Adventure.

Cache was found on the ground today. Not sure where it is ment to be in the tree. We signed it and have left it at the base of the tree.

The cache was on the ground when we arrived today. As we did not know where it was ment to go we have left it at the base of the tree. The CO will need to rehide in the tree.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

08-May-22
Cache appears to be on the ground, but still signed the log, will log a NM

08-May-22
For some reason can't write a NM, but the cache will need to be placed back where it is meant to be

For today's after work caching outing I visited a puzzle and tree climb on my way to joining a group effort on the new Tuggeranong car park cache. Quite a few people came along and we had a successful hunt. Afterwards we went out to Sui's recently brought back online car park cache. I could see the old cache but could not get it out so we all signed the new log.

I had stopped here once before without the required tool. Today everything was with me and I was soon at the cache signing the log.

Thanks for the cache InnocentApple

Tftc. Interesting climb for my tall partner, would have need TOTT it on my own. Careful if it has been raining or dewy.

I was by myself today, so headed down south to try and get to five caches, to keep going on my caches per day challenges. I saw this one ok, but I will need a ladder to get to it. Some pruning may even make it a but hard then as well. next time.

Thanks.

This weekend from 17-21/06/2021, I joined georode and gridge98 in visiting our nation's capital, Canberra for geocaching adventures. We prioritised the higher difficulty-terrain combinations, as well as the more special/unique cache types.
On Thursday, I largely spent the day solo and visited Black Hill lookout, the Botanic Gardens, Australian National University and nearby Canberra Central, and then gridge98 and I walked around the front of Parliament area in Parkes.
Friday was spent completing a few hikes in Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve and Kowen Escarpment Nature Reserve, before then meeting locals at a Friday evening dinner event.
Saturday was predominantly the UFO series in Bullen Range Conservation Reserve, targeting the higher terrain ridge area.
On Sunday, we arose to the morning's CITO event, before returning to Goorooyarroo Reserve for more walking around those hills.
Finally on Monday, gridge98 and I headed north to Yass for the Birds of Australia Wherigo series, a few climbing caches, and returning to ACT completing the UGC series.

Today, we arose bright and early to complete a subset of the UFO series, and walked a total 18 km up and down the ridge, covering some decent elevation.
After lunch, we concentrated on the southern suburbs of Canberra finding a select few geocaches that had attractive difficulty-terrain ratings. This included Gowrie, Royalla, Theodore, and Tuggeranong District. Then finally after dinner in the dark, we took a walk from our Watson accommodation to find a few geocaches in the vicinity. A long day indeed!

We pulled up, and scouted out the right tree reasonably quickly. After a short search, we caught sight of the cache container. We managed to get up that first branch without a lot of help, and the rest wasn't too bad. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks InnocentApple for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After a big day of hiking the UFO series we stayed in the southern area for more target caching.

This one was a 'must do' on our list while Davidwazza, gridge98 and myself are in the area for a long weekend.

Thanks for the cache.

This cache was tough to spot but eventually georode got up into the tree and found the cache nicely hidden

This weekend I headed to Canberra with Davidwazza and Georode after being asked a month or so ago if I would like to join them for 4 days, planning occurred and a list of 110 targets were chosen consisting of DTs, oldies and special cache types.

Day 1, I arrived in the evening and headed out with David Wazza for a few hours before georodes arrival, we headed to capital hill to find some random caches in the freezing cold.

Day 2, we set off early in the morning for a half day hike around Goorooyarro Park collecting all the puzzles and a few trads in the area, after lunch we had walked 17km for the morning, off we headed to kowen forest for some of the CBR wherigos, half way around it started to pour so called it early and thought doing the drive bys in the series would be a much better idea, in the evening we went to an event and was great to meet a few locals.

Day 3, we set off before the sun had risen for the main target of the day, the UFO series, with so many in the series we focused on the ones along the fire trail and a few in the paddocks, despite being buggered we walked another 18km for the day, in the afternoon we targeted some of our target list in the southern area

Day 4, after a morning CITO we headed back to Goorooyarra Park to complete the remaining caches in the area and finish the L and P plate series, another walk completed over 15km for the trip, in the afternoon we drove around the northern suburbs collecting caches off our target list

Day 5, after dropping georode off at the airport, davidwazza and I headed to Yass for the birds of Australia series and a few of the challenges in the area, after completing the caches we headed back to Canberra past a few caches before attacking the entire UGC series, being tight for time the trip wouldn’t have been complete without going to the Canberra nature park to collect the oldest caches

Total of 356 caches plus a few labs along the way,

Thanks for the caches and their placements

Yawn, that was easy.
Rode up to the tree on the MTB, spied the cache, used the MTB as a step on the way up, signed log, back down, rode off. Fun, Thanks.

Spotted it but to high for me.

09-Mar-21
We started up the wrong tree and of course without much luck finding the cache. We moved the TOTT to another tree after spotting it from below. Could have climbed without the TOTT but it was already out so used it. Quick and easy retrieve. TFTC InnocentApple.

On my way home from class today, I decided to stop in a take a look at this cache.
GZ was deserted, and after a short search I saw the cache. A quick climb and I had my name in the log book.

Caching with Goldenwattle and Decrypter on the south side today.

Had to wait out a family playing nearby before we were able to launch the TOTT and our resident 'monkey' to recover the cache. TFTC InnocentApple

DNF, because even though I could see the cache, if was too high for me, so I couldn't sign the log.

After work caching with ZQX targeting a few specific caches. Once the GPS settled on the tree the cache was soon spotted. Deployed the TOTT, and ZQX shimmied up the tree to sign the log. TFTC.

10-Dec-20
Found b4 the thunderstorm. more soon.
OCW the irrepressible and inextinguishable TikvaNZ, who pointed out that five years ago to the day we were caching our way to Ginini Falls with Johnny Boy, Marmaduke Rothschild, and Fox in Jox. And three years ago we were OCW Noikmeister and BatGirlandCo. So many caching adventures on this date!
I was about to climb a certain tree when TNZ wheeled around and headed to a tree 20 metres away. It looks like the app on my phone was putting me in the wrong place. I followed the more experienced cacher, discovering that he had located the correct casuarina.
I ascended while TNZ put his weight on the ladder to keep it steady. I found a safe way to get to the cache, and perched myself in a secure position. From that position I was able to reach the cache and sign the log. Due to limited space, I wrote the date as just 10.12 and wrote TNZ's name as just TNZ. I managed to squeeze in my whole caching name.
TFTC InnocentApple. I think this is only the second of this series that I have found, so there are lots more for me!

26-Nov-20
Cache is still there! Happy caching.

23-Nov-20
Have been notified that cache is missing, will disable for now until I run maintaince check this weekend.

11-Nov-20
Tracked to the GZ with ease. After a short vertical browse spotted the cache. No doubt an awkward looking climb to the fork, then couldn’t see the cache. Took me another minute to relocate the cache and then up I went. Log signed and down again. TFTC and the series.

01-Nov-20
We thought we'd be fine with this one, since one of is ok with climbing, but this one was just not worth the risk. It had rained quite heavily the day before, and the branches were slippery and didn't feel very strong. Chris made it to the first fork, but decided a broken neck wasn't worth a smiley! So although we saw the container, we couldn't reach it. And we're ok with that. Smile

25-Oct-20
An epic little hike up to get this one so I am very glad to have a smiley on this Smile A lovely cache to add to the collection grabbed with minniek and Fitzy today. Thanks for the cache!

25-Oct-20
Headed into Canberra with fitzy_1965 to do a bit of caching with nibletricecakes.

Next one was this cache. I decided to do the honours. Initially, I didn't think I was tall enought but once up, I was able to reach it. Log is a little damp but still able to sign it.

25-Oct-20
21,844. Found with minniek and Nibletricecakes during a short caching run this afternoon.

After a big days caching yesterday, minniek and I went on a more sedate tour today targeting a few special caches. Picked up nibletricecakes and grabbed a few caches that I'd already done, then headed south. This one caught our eye, and we came with the appropriate TOTT. minniek decided to do this one, and like the trooper she is she made short work of the climb, find, sign and return.

Thanks InnocentApple !!

D/T updated and added tree attruibute.

19-Oct-20
D/T needs to be updated. I would recommend a T4 even because the first step is a doozy!
A Tree Climbing attribute would also be nice Big Grin
Thanks

16-Oct-20
I read the logs before I even left the car, so knew what I was in for! Noticed the D/T hasn't been updated yet which is a slight problem though! The coordinates led me straight to the correct tree, and I could spot the cache from the ground. I was quite surprised by the height and tree though, it was tougher than I expected! In-fact it was tougher than some T4's I did earlier today! Maybe that's just because it was raining though Razz

Up I slowly went after getting past the first part which was the toughest, and was soon signing the log.

Thanks IA! I really enjoyed this cache! Probably my favourite in the Suburb Series because it's a physical challenge Wink

07-Oct-20
Having read the previous logs I knew which direction to look. Once I had spotted the cache up I went, just a little more carefully than usual, rain and tree limbs a potentially dangerous mixture. Had the cache in hand quickly enough, then as I was replacing the log, oops, down the cache fell, BUGGER!! So, back down I went, found the container after a short search, then back up again. Once carefully replaced, I descended for hopefully the final time.

Several updates still recommended for this listing, details indicated in said previous logs. TNLNSL TFTC

27-Sep-20
Found, but that’s a scary looking tree, so definitely not climbing. DT needs to be corrected and the ‘tree climbing’ attribute added

27-Sep-20
Not really a dnf but a did not climb. Would suggest the DT should be swapped as this is a decent climb and not one I am willing or capable to do. A tree climb attribute would be useful to help distinguish it as such also...

19-Sep-20
Found it ... but wasn't brave enough to log it.

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* with Tankengine and dty73! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

here we looked in vain according to the cache criteria. When I though what if the DT rating is swapped (for a change) and after looking up instead of down we spotted the hide quickly. TE did a very elegant and fast retrieval of the cache. I was thankful as some of the branches looked a bit bendy taking him already. Well done!

This needs a change of DT and an attribute added!

So many new caches in the south and I saw that they were picked off only very slowly so decided to come down and join the fun. After the first find I reached out to TE to see if he wanted to join forces, which ended up a good idea as some of the hides were hard or the coordinates a bit out so that a larger number of eyes was very helpful. Meet up with dty and TE in Fadden for a DNF there and we continued on to find all but the Gilmore one in the process.

An extra added benefit to all the FTFs was that I collected Banks as a suburb and with only two left later that day I completed the last two as well to finish off the Canberra Mapping challenge. Smile - which is in part what the series is trying to achieve!

Thank you InnocentApple for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

*FTF* with Tankengine and Flintstones more to come
D/T wrong way round.

10-Sep-20
Chooo ooo [FTF] - with dty73 and Flintstone’s! We were looking all wrong at the beginning, as it seems the D/T is the wrong way around! But after that it was straight forward enough - but needed a nudge! Thanks IA.
