I actually didnt find this one straight away, even though where it is hidden was the first place I scoped out. I had a look around and then eventually came back to the first spot. As it turns out, after disturbing a hotclub of snails and slaters and giving up, I hadnt nvestigated thoroughly enough and hadnt uncovered the cache. Unfortunately though when I did find it, I discovered that the paper log inside is just completely soaked, and has turned into complete mush that disintegrates with touch. Some maintenance may be needed SadThanks for the cache! It was in a cool spot, the recent rains just have not been kind to it

So tiny, no wonder I didn’t find it last time!

I couldn't begin to estimate the number of times I have driven past this cache since it was published, but today I stopped to take a look.
The cache was easily located, the log signed and cache replaced as found. If there was something remarkable to report about this cache, I would. But there wasn't. Actually quite surprised that it has lasted this long given the somewhat tenuous hide.
TFTC, InnocentApple

After looking in the wrong tree for some time, moved on to another and soon spotted the cable tie I guess it should have been hanging from. A search of the area below soon had the CIH. As it had no keyring to reattach I have placed the cache at the base of the tree for some maintenance.

I'm in Canberra for the June long weekend and of course Geocaching will be apart of it. I picked a couple of areas around that I wanted to find caches at. However, I certainly didn't get to all of them BUT I did find caches else where. I found a mixture of both GC and GA and various different cache types. I visited many places I didn't know about which was full of history, fun and unique scenery. This was one of the many caches I visited and may/may-not have found sometime over the weekend. It was a fun weekend meeting up with friends and caching as much as possible. If I found the cache, a TB visit has been placed on the cache page. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found and for allowing them to me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC's Big Grin

This one took quite sometime as the cache was found fallen on the ground and my muggle friend spotted something odd on the ground and it was the cache. Big Grin We found it! Big Grin We replaced it where we believe it fell from and hopefully in a way that doesn't fall again. TFTC

Disappointed. Will try again.

After a long nights recovery sleep, I headed home via the Cooma Lab caches. I wanted to get a few normal caches, so I found five in the southern area of Tuggeranong valley.

This one blends in pretty well, but a bit careful searching showed it up.

Thanks for the cache InnocentApple

Caching with Goldenwattle and Decrypter on the south side today.

The D/T rating suggested a somewhat more straightforward find here but took quite a hunt before the hide was spotted, assisted by accurate coords. Trust them. The recovery was also something of a challenge even for someone of over 6ft. TFTC InnocentApple

Caching with Binliner and Decrypter. I was pleased there was a tall person here to make the find. Last time I trusted the rating, and being mislead by the 1.5, is likely why I didn't find the cache, as I was only checking 1.5 star D&T places, not higher rated places. Anyway, great to change Sad to Smile. TFTC.

TFTC Smile Well that was a little trickier than expected for the DT rating. Great day for caching today, thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.

After an early morning mission with others chasing some higher D/T caches, I headed south to grab a lab cache at the top of Tuggeranong Hill, and then top up my find numbers for the day. Almost too hot to be out walking/caching, but the exercise was good. Cache soon found. TFTC.

#69 - We visited again, determined to find it this time. Turns out we were looking in the wrong tree! It helps to have two people for this one.

21,885. Found this one on a wet day while caching around Canberra.

Did the usual trek in to Canberra to find some caches. After parting ways with minniek I continued on to fill a calendar day with some of the Southern Suburbs series. Parked nearby (dodgy park - lol) and wandered down and to GZ. I had my caching goggles were on today and I made a nice quick find. After a fun recovery I signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks InnocentApple !!

Went on a bike ride/run with The Woofer around Calwell today, picking up a few caches on the way.

After spotting the cache immediately, our first thought was "Are we going to be able to reach that?" But the branch was quite bendy, so one of us held it down while the other retrieved the cache. Might be a bit harder on your own! TFTC.

I parked near the old church. I was interested to see this old church again. It used to be a lonely, abandoned old church, sitting all by itself in a paddock, but now the suburbs have reached and surrounded it. I walked from there to GZ, going over the low fence. I gave this a 1.5D/T search in line with its rating and left after about five minutes. Another DNF. After reading the last finder's comments, I wonder if my height was a problem here. I have never had such a run of DNFs in all my years of caching.

16-Oct-20
This was fairly tough to sign by myself, the terrain would be accurate as my feet didn't leave the ground, but it's definitely a slightly higher D rating given the difficulty to sign it. I am fairly tall too, any short people might not be able to find it at all! A good little hide though, walked here from the school carpark that backs onto the hide.

Thanks IA

Out and about Tuggers way to add to the smiley collection. No muggles about but plenty of traffic whizzing past nearby. A quick find, sign and replace. TNLNSL TFTC

Today was a day for a Tuggeranong cleanup... quite a few new caches have been placed since my last trip down here...and a few more puzzles solved.

Thanks to the CO's for all the caches

The weather report was for a cold weekend, but its a caching day for me today so would it dare? As it happened, no... A lovely sunny day made warmer by a few hills thrown in along the way!

After picking up GreyHams we spent the day south side, plenty of new caches and a few long time solved puzzles that have escaped previous trips. Our park and grabs with a creek side walk turned to park and grabs, unexpected tree climbs and some damn big hills! But it was a lovely day to be out and an enjoyable day.

Thanks for the cache InnocentApple. Team work required for this one after briefly searching the wrong tree initially.

Spent a good while looking for this one, but DNF. After spotting the Theodore one ... maybe we weren't looking high enough.

Tricky for a 1.5 / 1.5 but all logged and replaced .
Thanks for the Calwell suburb highlight .

Looked for a long time and probably in the wrong spot. My Geocaching brain and eyes are still developing so I might be more successful next time.

*FTF* with Tankengine and Flintstones.

I hadn't planned on chasing any new caches, but then I was in the area and with a little time before my usual Thursday meet up, so I joined the boys in their rush around south.

Like all of these caches, being the first means beta testing and finding it the hard way. The D/T seems a little off for this one. I think the inexperienced and undetermined will find this hard to find. Tftc InnocentApple!!!

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* with Tankengine and dty73! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Yet a different kind of hide awaiting us here keeping us on our toes (quite literally actually) . This caches almost requires teamwork for 99% of cachers and I wonder if it will last the way that teamwork needs to carried out. A higher T rating or the teamwork attribute could be applied.

So many new caches in the south and I saw that they were picked off only very slowly so decided to come down and join the fun. After the first find I reached out to TE to see if he wanted to join forces, which ended up a good idea as some of the hides were hard or the coordinates a bit out so that a larger number of eyes was very helpful. Meet up with dty and TE in Fadden for a DNF there and we continued on to find all but the Gilmore one in the process.

An extra added benefit to all the FTFs was that I collected Banks as a suburb and with only two left later that day I completed the last two as well to finish off the Canberra Mapping challenge. Smile - which is in part what the series is trying to achieve!

Thank you InnocentApple for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
