This was my first geocache and it took a while to find but my friend eventually found it and it was hidden a cool spot. Thanks kiwiscot19!
Meet the owners at a FTF after this - I dont think they were to impressed to see me wandering along though haha . This is a nice beach , nice camo on the cache to - many thanks for placing Tftc
Final cache for the day & quite tricky. Interpreted the hint another way so spent a bit of time in the wrong area. Then a man & his dog decided to visit the beach, so i had to stop searching. He soon moved off & searching resumed. Aha there it was. Great camo. Glad to finish my 10km walk with a smiley. [TFTC]
Husband found it easily thanks to the hint. Great little place we'd never have known about if not for geocaching. Thank you!
Took 20 minutes but we stuck at it and found it. I found from the path as my 9 year old son came flying down the hill from above!
After my weekend was a write off due to the rain and gaining some semi-permanent house guests I needed to get out of the house. As soon as I saw the tiniest bit of sun I made it my goal to get out and grab at least one Geocache and get some sun. After seeing this one had been checked in on I decided to make the attempt.
Upon arriving at GZ there was a couple enjoying the view and a man walking his dog. I waited a little for them to leave and started the search, it wasn't long before I had the cache in hand. Great hide.
I had to wait to try and return it as the man and his dog came back and the dog was convinced that the cache was something for him. Thanks for the reason to get out of the house and the fun hide in a great place. #1504

We have checked and the hide is still in place. Some recent growth has made the hidey hole harder to spot. We have updated the hint. Happy hunting.
Third time looking for this one and just cannot figure it out. Could someone who knows where it is possibly confirm it’s still here?
This was a nicely hidden cache and a pleasant place to come. I remember the previous one here and it was nice to come back. TFTC
I found this cache in December 2020 (based on the log in the cache) but forgot to log it on the website. A month or so ago I came back around here via the water but couldn't look for it as there were 3 fishermen close by. With new caches popping up in the area I made a special trip this afternoon to look for the cache once more. Found it in the place I left it in 1.5 years ago. TFTC
What a great beach. The tide was out and we saw fish jumping out of the water, and the geohound ended up covered in muddy sand.
A quick find, the camo didn't fool us.

First find was here and parked at the edge of the park and took a circuitous route to the path down to the water. There were a couple of families splashing and having fun so was able to search with care. After a little while I spotted the aforementioned 'turtle' and the log was soon signed and replaced. Nice hide here and an area I'd like to come back to have a further explore. T F T C kiwiscot19
A trip out to Beach Haven way had a couple of target caches on my hitlist over a lunch-time break, but both of those became DNFs after some thorough searching. Expanded my target area and got 3 other caches instead and enjoyed the marvellous warm sunny weather, along with half of Auckland, it seems. Thanks to the COs for their caches.
In line with the NZ Geocache Reviewers guidance on what Covid Level 3, Part 1 looks like, geocaching IS permitted, but there are not to be any events or any new listings. It seems the NZ Covid website has failed to maintain pace with Lockdown level amendments and changes and is still lumping Geocaching in with Orienteering and other gathering type activities. Link from Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/NZGeocachingReviewers/ for further details.
Update - Level 3.2 due to be applied in Auckland region at 2359 09 Nov 21 will be allowing new listings to be published, still no Events though.

Found with my daughter. Great camo! Looked like a sleeping creature. My daughter thought it was a turtle. TFTC! Fav point from us!

Nice hide
Had to wait a wile for some muggles to leave but was a quick easy find once I started to search.
Did this with a broken leg on crutches, don’t need to go far off trail.

Picked it up going...would have thought that was it...and put it back lol worked it out second time round. Thanks first cache for the kids!
Nufrat and I headed over to this area after lunch to make a couple of finds. After walking down the steep path, we started to narrow down our search according to the hint. We found the cache in a nifty little hiding spot. TFTC.
out with agazo today, that wasn't too bad getting to the cache, bugger have to go back up though, at least the cache was easy, tftc
Based on the last comments I poked and prodded every remotely ‘gross’ thing I could find...and still didn’t manage to locate it. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Mr 6 is bored after 20 mins so we might have to try another day.
At first I thought it was something too gross to touch and walked away. A second look before I realised what it was. Nice hide, good camo.
Out and about on this sunny day for a few hours of cache detection. The intent was to tidy up the local neighbourhoods of the relatively recently placed hides. I parked up at the end of the road and entered Tui Park. This might be mark 2 but I have been here on more than two occasions for geocaches over the years. Anyway, a short walk bought me to GZ where the nicely camouflaged cache was found in the first spot I checked. It is a lovely spot down here and I took a moment to enjoy the serenity before heading off again. Cheers for the cache placement!
Boy that looks like it came out of a Master Cache Makers workshop!
Well done!

This one turned out to be quite a saga! Came down to grab the stf, only to pick a time when there were many muggles around. Next time I came I was relieved to have the place to myself but despite a wide search - nothing. Then it was disabled. I must have come down in the brief period it went missing. Next time - muggle time again! Finally today the planets were aligned and there it was sitting in the first place I’d originally looked! Luckily I don’t live far away. Yay! Tftc.
I wasn't present for the excitement around the first to find here, in fact I had bumped into the CO elsewhere at the time, but that is a different story. However I decided to head over after work today to check it out. Certainly a lovely spot, and a very cool hide, TFTC
Nice quick find! Spotted it without reading the cache page! Really pleasant spot down here! TFTC
This one is amazing I’ve shown this to so many friends but for some reason I never logged it so this is just an admin log for me but the camo in this one is amazing
Hide had experienced a little cache creep. Not sure if some animal knocked it out of its proper hiding spot. Now back in place. Will keep an eye on it.
Stoked to find it in the top 10. Thought it was some sort of sleeping creature until it didn’t move when prodded!!! TFTC
Spending the morning with Merlot58, Supernannny and Nette. With 4 sets of eyes it didn’t take long to find this cache, lower down than we were initially searching
Very cool camo....Out with nette1234 , Jag50 and Merlot58 .
Jan soon had her hands on it...
Love what you used for the camo....Favourite point.

I meet up with Supernanny, Jag50 and Nette1234 for a morning's caching in the area. With 4 pairs of eyes it didn't take too long to find and once the log was signed, the cache was returned to where we found it.
Gutted - Out on the board and had a look here as I paddled by around 13:15. Cache no longer in place. Could not see it anywhere. Not sure what is going on.
We don’t get many FTF’s or RTF’s for that matter but I always let a certain person know if I think I may have a chance. As it happens I’ve been working from home for the past 5 or so months…like a few people really and well an enforced day off today so was going to cache Takapuna way. Well the weather ain’t great so look up the site for alternative ideas. Well I’ve ALWAYS wanted a FTF or cache before it was published and noticed an area of interest this morning had become free. I was planning a cache nearby so had the …could this be the day. [FTF] #22 I Ping Alun at 10.29 ‘Think I've found a spot for a rtf that hasn’t been published. I'm gonna search after lunch as its close to home' Well it stopped raining about 12.30 so go for a walk to the target area. You look there and ill look here I tell Mrs H, what do you know Ive done it! Second place I looked. BIG smile on my face and gave Alun a call to tell him my news straight away- he must thing I ama mad bugger as I was so happy to let him know my plan worked. Found at around 12.50 about 10 or 15 minutes before it was published! Thanks KS19 for the spot and all the caches you put down. I’ll give this a FP for sure. Left a TC for the next finder!
