Was in the area today so checked on this one for the CO. Its still in place so all ok to find. Happy caching!
Checked on this cache whilst in the area. Lucky as it wasn't where it was meant to be and too a bit to find it.Back in its rightful place.
Today we are moving from Dunalley to Fortescue Bay via Eaglehawk Neck for fish and chips and to finish off as best we can the caches at EHN.It was a glorious day and after shopping at Dodges Ferry at the splendid IGA there we headed off. The fish and chips were excellent and then for a nice walk along the beach. The hint for this one made us think we were looking for a little penguin of some sort so it took us quite some time to locate. Husband made the discovery in the end. TFTC
Day 8 in Australia in Tasmania. We are aiming for all the cool caches nearby as well as many different types. We have found the cachers around here super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the smile
Die kleinen, sssen Pinguine kehren sicher erst spter zurck vom Meer. Doch auch die kleine, freche Dose versteckte sich gut... Cool gemacht,... dafr lassen wir gerne eine blaue Schleife da...Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.The cute little penguins are sure to return from the sea later.... But the cheeky little tin can also hid well... Cool job... We are happy to leave a blue ribbon for this....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
At first I couldn't see the wood for the trees but then suddenly there was the cache. A brilliant little hide! Worthy of one of Mt rare favourite points. Thanks for bringing attention to the plight of the penguins too! TNLN SL TFTC!
Had some muggles camped out near the entrance, but Scoot made the sneaky find and we had the log signed and placed back rather quickly.Creative cache
I did a maintenance run this afternoon and checked on this cache after a heads up from some cachers that it may be missing.Sure enough, it is no longer in place. I will have to disable it until I can fashion a replacement.
Coordinates changed from:S 43 2.092 E 147 56.108Coordinates changed to:S 43 2.093 E 147 56.109Distance from original: 7.5 feet or 2.3 meters.Cache has been replaced and moved slightly.
I have re-created and replaced it.It's in a slightly different spot. Please replace the cammo'd container as you find it, and please ensure you replace the cache container back behind the velcro.Thanks.
Hello The Roadies thank you for the cache
This one didn't take too long to find once I narrowed down my search.
The tide was too high to continue along the beach.
It was a cool gloomy day to be caching but a bit of fun was had.

Came with the CO to check on this cache. Left Skippy the golden kangaroo here for another cacher to show it a bit more of Tasmania.
Looked for a while but unfortunately didn’t make the find. Might return. Thank you anyways!
TFTC -
Thanks for bringing me back here - I remember staying nearby as a kid in Penzances Pirate Bay Motel, Australia's earliest motel!
Sadly it's no more, demolished in November 2005.
Back again, having a few nights break down the peninsula with Mrs EPs.
Quite cold and windy today, but visited Doo Town, then reacquainted ourselves with the blowhole, the arch and the kitchen - all must-doos.
Sadly the low-ish tide and offshore winds made for somewhat unspectacular viewing today.
Stopped nearby to GZ, walked along an empty beach and made a quick find - so glad I didn't need to leave the sand.
Then we did a little beach-combing on the way back.
Thanks The Roadies, for this caching experience.
Cheers, EPs.

Clever camo, I hope it can stand the test of time! Would be nice to come back another time and see some little penguins! TFTC[I'm logging this a few months after finding the cache, but I have photo evidence if the CO wants to get in contact]
Checked on this cache today when having a walk and checking on my nearby caches. Found the cache in its new spot and all in order. No penguins to be seen but 8 sooty and 2 pied oyster catchers.
One of twenty-two caches found today with Zozetta in the Eaglehawk Neck area. We began the day with a find just outside of Murdunna, then continued down to Pirates Bay, Eaglehawk Neck, Doo Town and the Tasman Arch and Blowhole. We also found two more caches at Boomer Bay on the way home. An excellent day out with many high quality caches found. In total we had twenty-two finds and two DNFs.
A quick find on the way to another cache. Another excellent hide.
Thanks for the cache The Roadies!

What a magical spot! My 200th find and a gorgeous rainbow to celebrate. Dropped a trackable to continue it's journey. Thank you for bringing us to this beautiful location. FP from me ️

Coordinates changed to:
S 43° 2.092 E 147° 56.108
Distance from original: 25.8 feet or 7.8 meters.
I checked on this cache after the last DNFs.
The cache was still nicely in place, however the local climbing weed and the native pelargonium have both taken off and the cache was totally covered, as was the sand surrounding the cache location.
In order to keep to the instructions of "not leaving the sand" to find the cache, I have moved it slighty to another spot nearby.

No joy for me today, not sure I like the idea of bringing people so close to the little penguins. Maybe a better place could be sought.
Megawat60 and I are on the tail end of The Tassie Tour and are exploring after our Port Arthur visit. But no luck here, obeying recommendations.
Wowzas!
Such a stunning beach that We have driven past so so many times but never had the chance to stop and take a look around!
After taking in the beautiful view we quickly made the find and signed the log!
Such an awesome hide!

For a minute we thought we were on the wrong side of the fence, but then we walked up a little and found it! Wonderful cache!
Checked on this cache following the last DNF.
Cache wasn't quite where it was meant to be, but still close.
Repositioned it back where it should be and all is good.
Lots of penguin footprints in the sand today...

It would be good to be here when the penguins were out and about. Another favourite from us. TFTC
Down this way again to snaffle some hides and a couple of EarthCaches maybe
Parked the GeoMobile safely off the road above and made my way down to the beach. Waited for a Dog Walking Muggle with two German Shepherds [OFF the leash [:o]] i wasn't risking it so i waited till they were safely far enough away. I more than likely would've been "licked" to death ha ha
Got to GZ and was thinking wow... plenty of places this one could be. It was easily 5 minutes later i was still looking carefully coz i didn't wanna be forceful here with the plantlife [:o]
In hindsight......... Yeah, that was sneaky and awesome so a Favorite Point is offloaded.
The cache and contents are doing well in their salty, moist environment
Unfortunately no wee penguins were sighted whilst here today

Doing a maintenance run for The Roadies today. Pencil replaced and all ready to go. Nice smell of penguin at the beach today. Had a lovely walk along the beach.
While caching in the area we found your cache along the way. Excellent views from here on a very sunny hot day, a well worth while stop as well the walk along the beach.
Once at GZ we made a quick find, a great cache hide, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I didn't want to disturb the shore birds that were resting near the cache but they flew away before I got close. Great camo on this cache.
We decided to head in the direction of Port Arthur for the day picking up caches that have appeared since our last visit and to get one that we have avoided for a long time! A mixture of caches, types and hides. We also managed to end up at the Lavender Farm for a lovely lunch.
We enjoyed our walk along the beach even though it was a bit windy. We arrived at GZ and it took a bit of searching before male membsec spotted the beast. Nice placement.

Out for a day caching around Dunalley and further south, Found quite a few caches with some great ones among them. The ones around Dunalley were all very good. The walk to the cache in Lime Bay was also a highlight
Great little cache container in a great location. Top marks for the hide and location

Finally we have made it to Tasmania from the mainland. Hoping to cache along the way over our 2 week holiday. Although a little grey it’s not cold so we will be able to see a few things and do some walks
So happy to be here and looking forward to what we will find.

It had just started to rain as we pulled up in the parking bay. Great windswept stroll along the beach to gz. Loved the camo which had TaurusSix fooled at first . TFTC
TFTC,
Out for a day of exploration with Nana nel and The Hancock Clan.
We managed 9 GC and 3 GA finds which included a FTF on the Virtual cache.
Our last cache for the day, quick find.

Out with The Hancock Clan & Wazza9 today, didn't spot any penguins, lovely area. Great hide found by Wazza9, signed log and replaced. Thanks to The Roadies. Took trackable to travel.
Nice hide. Stay in sand and it will be revealed. Gorgeous morning walk. Dropped off a TB hat was stuck in weeds for a year. Be kind to this TB, it was lonely for a long long time. Hooded plovers busy on the rocks today. TFTC
After finding the access gate, we headed down to the beach. That very fine and dry sand was very hard to walk through and it took some effort to get down to the firmer sand. Then it was a short walk along the beach. Once at GZ, Accurate coordinates and a very well presented hide led to a quick find - the hide could have been much more difficult but sensibly, the COs had placed the cache to virtually eliminate any environmental damage. The cache and contents were in good condition. The cache earns a favourite from us for the exceptionally thoughtful placement of the cache to minimise environmental damage. Thanks The Roadies for another very enjoyable cache. Then it was the trudge back through "that" sand to get to the steps and then back to the car.
Very clever find for a not so nimble person, luckily I had the little sister Maggie with me
out and about with 2 Lil Rafas caching in the peninsula area a great day with good weather and views. parked on the newly formed walking track behind an excavator, walked down to the beach and had the cache in hand in no time at all. TFTC TNLN log dry. beautiful beach.
Thanks for the cache The Roadies.
Out and about on the Tasman Peninsula today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. As the GeoGSP had had a run on the beach up near The Gravel Pit, he sat in the car and had a drink of water and a snack whilst we searched for this one.
There were lots of little penguin feet tracks as we approached GZ, made me a bit nervous, but was able to spot the cache and retrieve and sign it without leaving the sand. It's surprising what can work as cammo!

Travelled down to the Peninsula for some R&R. Nice and calm in the bay. We enjoyed the walk along the beach and spotted tiny penguin footprints in the sand. Once at GZ a bit of a head scratch and then an ahh moment - gotcha! Nice hide. SL TFTC
Hi roadies
A little further up the road now and a nice, short walk on the beach
Found the cache exposed, signed the log and put it back in place right way down
Sainted the cache at 1330 hours
Always good to look across the bay to the fishing club
TFTC and cheers

Today we decided to head down the Tasman to find a few caches that had been published since our last visit and this was one of them. I don't think we have ever walked this end of the beach. Thanks for showing it to us. We found a very cleverly constructed cache. Deserves a favourite. TFTC
We walked through the little gate and down the stairs [?][?] and along the beach. We soon spotted the clever cache and we were very impressed at the effort gone into constructing it.
The rain came again as we returned to the car, we couldn't run on this sand so got wet again. This was our last GC cache for the day, just a couple of GCA ones to finish off so we finished on a real high with this one!
We had no destination in mind until about 9am when we decided that we would head down to the Peninsular after we replaced a cache for 1TOOLMAN. We knew we wouldn't have time to find everything we wanted but we reeled in a good handful and only got wet a couple of times thanks to Tassies crazy spring weather.
Thanks The Roadies, another favourite point here.

Last GC cache of the day for us today, we walked along to GZ and after a quick look round the cache was located, another bit of cache making work has gone on here and i was very pleased to see someone putting some effort in for a change.
Thanks for the cache.
We had even less of a plan than normal today, Saturday morning and today's caching location was finally chosen as we picked up our first coffee of the day, so fix up a fellow cachers cacher and then we drove down South to find some of the new caches down the peninsula, no chance of getting them all but we'll see how we go.

Finally got down to this sneaky solo cache today. What a beauty - a very creative construction. Had to be quick as there were muggles playing just around the corner and wasn’t sure if they were on the move. Very atmospheric here this afternoon. A fav point from me, for a favourite location and a clever hide.
It is amazing that I live about 20 kms from Little Penguins and I didnt know this spot existed yet I have walked the length and breadth of the beach. A magic scenic spot again you have excelled, another FP thats two from two logs. A great little area good views lovely information and description and a very carefully crafted and thought out cache and placement. Very wise too to make it Premium. We spotted some tiny little footprints in the sand but no sign of the little ones this morning. Thank you for your efforts in my hide and seek pleasure.
Congratulations on another *FTF* GeoChris18! You were very quick off the mark!
Thanks for the fav. point.
