We are on our way back over to the West for a friends memorial service in Geraldton but this trip we are taking our time , enjoying the drive and picking up a few caches and taking in the scenery. We are mainly concentrating on Ad Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's as these don't give you any muggle problems. Of course there will be others in between. As usual with a cache by this CO we could not wait to see what awaited us. Once more it was something unexpected and a lot of fun to work out. I wish we knew how this man's mind works, it must never stop. We did what we had to do and soon had what we needed to get to the log book. After adding our name to the log we returned every thing as found.Once more our thanks for a marvellous creation for our enjoyment, another favourite point from us.
We are on a road trip from the NSW/Vic border to Mandurah for a wedding and have spent the last three days caching around Albany and we are now heading to Augusta for the night via DenmarkAnother fantastically constructed cache. The CO came along just as we were opening the box and we had another chat after meeting earlier in the morning. I dropped off a TB which I have been travelling for some time with to continue its journey in WA.
Day #5. My last minute WAGB adventure continues today! Road tripping again. Ive now met up with Posums in Albany and we are off today on the much anticipated roymerc trail. Fun times ahead.Another brilliant creation. The third red button doesnt appear to work any more, however it didnt detract in any way. Loved this one.A big thanks goes to roymerc for taking the time to add BYOB 20 'Treedore' to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
I came over to WA last year for WAGB 23 and had such a great time so I decided to come back over again for this years events in Augusta. So after all of the planning with dates worked out my work decided that I could only have one week off so flying over was my only option. So I flew into to Perth and my first stop will be Busselton for 2 nights. It has been 47 years since I was in this part of WA and Im really looking forward to the re visit.Im making my way down the coast and picking out caches that look interesting to me.After spending a bit of time in Bunbury it was back to the Geo Rent a Car to continue along the coast and I then made it to Busselton.Day 4 of the trip. After caching around Busselton, Dunsbourgh and Cape Naturaliste I reached Albany for 3 nights.Caught up with Roaming Howie last night and a plan was hatched to head to Denmark today (the one in WA not the country) to tackle most of roymerc caches and any others that pop up.I have seen a few doors like this in my travels but none that you need a special key to open and be welcomed in.Thanks roymerc TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 10:20. This is our favourite of yours for this visit. Wish we could give multiple FPs. Dropped off "Mr lightning Big" trackable. Our thanks to roymerc.
Find number 13802 at 2:17:49PM on Saturday the 7 September 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Today we're travelling a little down the road to Denmark to spend a day or two grabbing some of the roymerc caches around the area.Loved this one, walked right up and knocked on the door, no one answered though, we had to let ourselves in **Thanks for placing this cache roymerc**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
Another amazing cache, and stunning views from here as well. This one I did work through quite quickly, once I reread the description for the first step entry correctly.Today was Gnowangerup down towards Denmark day. Leaving Gnowangerup it was a day of caching towards the select caches picked out. The roymerc caches had been highly recommended and called me for a visit. Sure was pleased we went, the quality and fun was worth the trip and experience of visiting them. Denmark has always been a favourite place of mine, so it's great to revisit and enjoy this beautiful area with it stunning scenery and a few nice walks. Dinner picked up in Denmark, it was out of town for a free camp. Nice quiet place by a creek, surrounded by power trails and a mild night quite good for a walk in the moonlight to collect a few. Quite unusual to hear so many birds at night, the magpies singing quite late. I've never heard them quite like they were here, nice though. Thanks for your cache.
This was cute. And tricky too! We managed to perform all the steps and get to the goodies. Thanks for the clever cache.
Always feels like you living an adventure doing Roymercs caches! This one was one of my favorites! I already gave too much FP today but this one would have another one for sure!! <3
Found at 1:14 PM GAFF1.Now that is exactly what I want to do with a cache I have in mind - the door to the tree cavity - as I have a plastic human skeleton that I want to place in the cavity which will have something written and attached to its boney hand to lead you to another location. Wish I had the skills to do that like this one A fantastic two layered expertly created cache. The second part was a bit of - now let me see how the CO thinks - and it was worked out on the third try [^]Putting everything back so that the lid could close was a 2 go effort, but it all neatly fitted in. Great job! Thanks to roymerc
Oh wow... like stepping into Wonderland. Loved the process of getting the log though it was hard to get my mind off the creation... and what if I went in... ?? I still don't remember signing the log but I guess I did. Thanks for the magic roymerc, FP!
Another magic spot for a geocacher! A couple of layers here, and both were a lot of fun. What a lovely house for this Geocache. So much effort in time has gone into the creation and thought behind this little adventure. Initially we wondered why the ammo tin was so heavy and then a moment later, we understood why!Very clever. Adding another favourite to its already illustrious collection. Thanks roymerc Domsky
Noice! Love the hidey-hole and loved the field-puzzle, pazza had this one straight away and cache was soon signed!Took a trackable to continue his journey with us.Spending a week down in Denmark collecting some amazing smilies from such a genius! We wish we had the know-how to create geos like these! Thank you roymerc for placing and (continuously) maintaining all your brilliant geocaches in Denmark for us and others to thoroughly enjoy! Another Fave point for all your efforts! You are certainly attracting geocaches from all around the globe! Your reputation precedes you!
The day was getting on so we needed to try to get to these in the daylight hours,So many caches, so little time, which do we chooseCanetoads and cockroach on holidays in the West TMac61 and Bliss BabyTFTC
After some sustenance at the cheese n wine we headed to this area to cache some more. These BYOB are so special I'm almost glad I didn't get them all this trip so I'll make sure I'll be back sooner. Almost - I would have definitely preferred to get them all so I could see all the designs Roymerc has come up with. Alas that wasn't to be as we were here in the west to see Orca not caching greats. Anyhoo htat didn't detract one bit from our enjoyment here. Very cool placement and easy, easy fav point.
Complimenti!Stupenda tutta, da una apertura all'altra. Ancora complimenti.Ciao e grazie. Quinto PF. #10872Third day in beautiful Denmark. A day dedicated mainly to these magnificent artefacts whose praises had reached us from far away. Our expectations were not betrayed, on the contrary!! A modest DIYer myself, I've created several wooden caches with spring mechanisms to make opening challenging and I was hoping to get some new ideas from roymerc. Seeing such magnificence, I felt dwarfed: I will never be able to reach these DIY heights!Luckily, we have enough Favs to lavish on each of the artifacts we discovered this morning. Our compliments!Stunning throughout, from one opening to the next. Congratulations again.Hello and thanks. Fifht Fav. #10872
Day 2of my adventure, heading between Albany and Denmark today. An overcast day and trying my luck at claiming a few more smilies along the way. So happy that this one of them. Now that was great, do another FP coming your way .Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12226find.Thankyou roymerc for placing and maintaining this cache
Oh very cute! Love it, just wish we had some kids to bring along. Another fav pt. Tftc
Found it TFTC Found in good. WOW love it soooo much. Geo hubby really enjoyed this one. Thank you for all your effort
Not sure if you see the logs on BYOB 18 over in Victoria or if the logs go to just Geoff but anyway, just over a week ago we found BYOB 18 as our 12000th find. Your caches are what got us hooked originally and it was fitting to see that one there when we needed a milestone find. Fast forward to today. I was down in Denmark on business with a muggle colleague and could not resist the temptation of popping up for BYOB 20. I even had the battery in my bag that we bought last week. Well my muggle mate spotted the cache first and the smile on her face at the experience was worth a fave point in itself. You continue to exceed expectations with each new creation. Love it. Would have loved to claim a battery cap but I maybe should have come sooner for that treat as the bag was empty. Roy - your caches are always a pleasure but my muggle has been seriously spoilt. TFTC.
Second cache for the day and it was brilliant!! Favo from me also the rain is starting to ease
Wow, this one was very Alice in Wonderland and we followed the rabbit! Followed the instructions and soon had a log to sign. We were very lucky with step 2..might buy a lotto ticket later haha
Driving around WA. Got here and AnyMules told me I needed to make sure I have a battery. Pulled up and GZ and found an awesome field puzzle. Battery in hand I followed the instructions to find a little bit of wonder!TFTC roymerc. Found on 28 Sep 2023 at 10:15. Find # 2753
Another one that blew our socks off. We absolutely loved this one. So well done. Thanks roymerc, another well deserved favourite point
Made sure I still had the old 9V in the car before I left home and although its looking a little worse for wear I was hoping it could still deliver the required goods.
After a few more strenuous caches I headed over to mercville with my fingers crossed the battery would work.
Success came and I quickly had the log in hand.
Thanks for another roymerc beauty.
Cheers

A well made cache that we really enjoyed thank you for the effort and a fav from us
In WA for 3 days, so I decided to hire a car and head south from Perth and drive around the wheat belt and back up the coast line. Day 2, after staying in Albany for the evening I headed off towards Busselton, first stop was Denmark to try and find all of the BYOB and a few other before making my way along the back roads finding a few caches along the way before caching around Busselton in the evening.
Thanks for the cache

We had an afternoon free from work so decided to head out to find a few more of the wonderful roymerc geocaches. This was so cute! And then we finally managed to get in and met with the second half of the challenge..... fortunately we had the required tool in the car so could sign the log here.
A favorite point because this one is so cute!
Thanks for find #4656

Find # 8,241 for me on 8 June 2023 at 9:36 am.
Today PamJ and I are caching around the lovely town of Denmark. This is our third time here and we always love coming back.
This is one of the caches we found on this trip.
A beautiful drive through the forest topped of by a masterpiece in a fantasy location. We discovered our way through the challenges and logged the prize.
A definite favourite and a nice memory of another roymerc BYOB cache.
Thanks roymerc, for giving back to the game.

I was happily photographing the beautiful scenery before the excitement of the cache puzzle even began. The concept is delightful and gmj3191 and I had a lot of fun working through it. Many thanks for bringing us here.
Amazingly our 100 year old tool worked once you held the mouth in the right shape. Fave of course.
I adore treedoor and despite the uncertainty (my capacity to work it out) I think I’m getting the hang of it. YAY! Out and about with buddies who are into vino and trees but not geocaching BUT these bewdies do pique their interest. Home is some 3500 kms EAST and word had travelled I should look out for roymerc caches. Well - look out I did so I'm on a mission to discover why word has travelled the continent and I’m not disappointed TFTC and the enormous fun and surprises
Quick find of the cache after I parked in the correct location. Getting to the log book took a little more work as I have a tendency to overthink the simple stuff. Love your work.
Heading east after one mintue of moon shadow. This is one of stops on a long journey.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for another fantastic cache team roymerc. We enjoyed working out the puzzle to get to the log book. Dropped duck trackable and added a favourite point.
Staying a few days in Denmark, today we turned west out of the driveway to see what we could find.
WoW Roy your caches just keep on keeping on this was AMAZING. LOVED IT. Although sad to see the previous multi that was along here no more.

After a few years away from WA I decided to return and visit family living in the south west.
It had always been a goal of mine to visit Roy Merc territory and today I feel blessed that I have had the opportunity to be here amongst some of the great caches offered.
I will spend NYE and NYD roaming the area collecting RoyMerc caches. It is why I decided to head down this way.
Simply one of the best caches I have ever done. I laughed like a little boy as the cache revealed itself.
Then once the door opens the fun begins again.
Thank you so much for the time and effort with this amazing cache.

The treedore was very cute to spot as we finally parked the car in the correct spot. We went to work and managed the first half of the puzzle before being presented with the next step. With magic fingers the code soon jumped out at us, allowing us access to the logbook.
Thanks roymerc for the fun BYOB gadget cache. Throwing a favourite your way.

Very cute, but our battery was producing no results for the second part today
Everyone keeps saying to go to Demark, so I am. TFTC.
More awesome everytime. All the way from the parking to the cache size, and the puzzles are amazing.

Found on a trip to the west from Adelaide.
Today I headed to Denmark from Albany, seeking out caches of interest and bush camping there overnight. Looks like yet another cold and rainy night!
This was another fantastic roymerc cache that I quite enjoyed. I was concened that my battery might not have enough oomph left in it, but everything worked OK.
Thanks roymerc for the cache. A favourite point from me.

HOW COOL! An absolutely awesome puzzle( so much fun to solve) the door is sooo cute! It is absolutely amazing loved it so much thank you so much roymerc!
Back in action! Replaced destroyed handle. Reported "fault" turned out to be probably due to a reluctance or inability to read and/or understand the instructions.
We stopped by this cache on our way back down the road. We had a few issues with the clue box, but thought it may have been a bit of low voltage on the battery. Did get it to work eventually, and it yielded its number. Thanks roymerc....you made this 11yrs old day:-)
This was one that hunterzed and I couldn’t get to open last year perhaps due to not having enough juice in the battery. Thankfully for me I had plenty of ️ today to get my reward. I needed to read the instructions again and then all became clear and I soon had the log in hand. All signed and reset ready for the next hunter. Thanks as always Roymerc for your fantastic caches
pug002 found it 2/2/22 after doing the Michalumpas, boy what a mind, wish you lived near us and put out such caches. Just brilliant thanks roymerc fav point
This one was a lot of fun, very cool. The kids loved working this one out. A favourite for us.

Favourite cache of the day (on what was a particularly good day for them.)
The 3 year old was very excitable as we opened the door only to reveal the next part of the puzzle.
Clearly a lot of time and thought has gone into all of these but this one sent the young ones imagination wild. Great idea, well executed. Love it! TFTC Roymerc. Favourite point for this one.

We absolutely loved it. Nice for any passerby as a cute Alice in wonderland deco but muggle safe.
These BYOB caches have absalutly made out Denmark trip. Thank you so much. Another perfect day out with sammiiej
This ones cool, we did everything according to the instructions and then found that the last person left the code on the lock, nonetheless we've signed and replaced back ready for the next finder, TFTC
Today we started by heading out of town to Roymerc country to look for some of his larger caches. This was one of them. We parked in the parking spot making sure we were well off the main carriage way as we had already met several locals who were not driving slowly.
Mrs Y'stassie had read the instructions carefully and was looking forward to finding the door. With her helper in hand she was soon on her journey of discovery. It was rather like Wonderland. The detailed instructions, when followed as intended, ensure the cache hunter reached the cache log without damaging any part of the multi stage cache and has a lot of fun doing it.
Thanks for a wonderful cache Roymerc. Each item was a work of art in its self. Your attention to detail and superb finishing makes finding these caches a memorable experience.
We've added a favourite point for this cache. It really deserves more.

110% my favourite of all time, couldn’t get into the second lock box due to the little machine not cooperating
This is my new favourite cache. I love the layers involved. We’re having such a fun day. Thank you
Decided to stop by here after having lunch at The Lake House nearby.
Once we had located the host of the cache, we tried opening it with the 9V battery we brought but nothing happened! We soon realised that the battery we had brought all the way from Perth was dead. When we arrived back at our accommodation, we found a brand new 9V battery. After having lunch at Pepper & Salt the following day (15th July), we came back around this way with our new battery. Instantly, the door opened and we had the cache in hand (although there is another puzzle to solve once you open the door!)
Once again, thanks for the cache and unique experience roymerc!

Driving past I noticed the cache was sitting at a curious angle. It had been violently wrench from its proper position. Muggles no doubt... Anyway it is now replaced with bigger and stronger fittings. But I wonder if it was the same knuckle-dragger who couldn't be bothered to re-lock the cache-box?
It seems it 9v battery ran out of juice in finding all these BYOB caches as the door wouldn't open for us at all. I heard clicking noises from inside but it wouldn't open.
Rain, rain, rain! First good drenching for the year. And the first time Treedore had experienced such wetness. Water causes wood to swell... And completely jammed the door. Gone back to the workshop for repairs and general maintenence.
