Thanks NickandAbb for placing Airport Rd #1. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 2. Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2146 and was found on 25/10/2024 at 16:49FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81

Hi NickandAbb. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5205 and I found it on Friday 25 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache

This puzzle I needed some help with but once the puzzle was sorted I added to our list to find once back in Tassie. Today we are back so we made a start on finding caches and starting the Octagon series. I spent a while looking for this one and eventually found it on the ground. TFTC great hide

Tasmania Trip Day 3. I was really happy to make the overnight crossing to Tasmania without any issues at all. The slight rolling did not even tip me out of bed. Getting up in time to disembark around 5.45 am was the only challenge, but I did get to visit two caches in the dark before breakfast. I spent quite a bit of the morning caching around Devonport and along he waterfront before circling out a bit to find the four counties on offer before I started along to Burnie, which was a lot closer than I realised. I visited a few interesting locations and then got set up at my accommodation in Burnie. It is supposed to be a heat wave, but it seems pretty cool here to me.I headed to the west of town to cross the county line to check out a few caches out here. This is our last full day in the North, and we are hoping to find as many of our solved puzzles as we can from Ulverstone to Devonport. By now the light is starting to go, and we were keen to target a few last caches along Airport Rd. A fun combination of puzzles here, and we soon had the coordinates sorted. Thankfully the cache was spotted almost as soon as we arrived at GZ. TFTC

Enoyed doing the puzzle, so pleased to make a quick find.

Solved this one yesterday with a little help from the CO with my confusion over a simple part of the puzzle today Abb and I came to the cache to finally find it! After staring at the area for a few minutes trying to spot the cache that we were expecting to be tiny and talking about our currant cache blindness. we broadened the search area and then was surprised but the cache! Certainly a favourite from us!
Thanks for the find Merilyn!

Initially when i was looking at the puzzle for this one i only took notice of part of it lol Big Grin
{Always solve puzzles before your favourite beverage not after ha ha Big Grin especially after a few of them}

I got the easy part but then hit a wall with the rest of it so out went the life-buoy for a hint from someone way smarter than me on the part i didn't notice lol Big Grin

With that realized and the puzzled solved into the GPS it went for the find today... 22/3/21.
Parked the GeoMobile and made my way to find a cute cache container with the log container attached.

SL on Monday 22 March 2021 and replaced the log as found.

Out and about caching around Port Sorell, Squeaking Point, Shearwater and Hawley area and this was one that was targetted. An absolutely glorious day to be out caching. Having solved the puzzle when it was published it was nice to get the smiley. A cute container. Gee this is a busy road. TFTP

With a few hours to spare this afternoon I decided to make the drive up to the northwest to find 3 caches on my to do list being my last full day in tas.
Solved the puzzle when it first came out, today I parked near GZ and made the short walk over. The cache was found in the obvious place and something a little different. Cache is all good

Well, finally had a day to go and do some caching and had some good weather!!!!
The plan was to get the cache "Shale Cliff" and some puzzles that had been solved around Ulverstone, then on to Penguin, and hopefully a few around Devonport on the way home. Was up early and out the drop before 6. The drive to Devonport was fairly boring with the GeoKids, as we had done this road so many times before, but worth it considering the goal.
Our target was for 50 GC caches to get my yearly tally to 500 and total GC to 5500. Luckily I was successful in this

Really great cache container

Thanks for the puzzle cache. Apologies for the generic cache. Spent four days 'up north; with Lil Rafa and the GeoGSP. Today was day 2, sunshine after yesterday's deluge of rain. Today we found some in Devonport, returned to Latrobe to find a couple, some on our way to our accommodation, and then some in Port Sorell where we were staying.

Thanks for the cache MerilynTas.
Spending a few days up north with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. This afternoon we were gradually making our way to our accommodation near Port Sorell from the Latrobe area and this series of caches along Airport Road were on our route, so we were keen to search for this series.
Giving this one a favourite for the great container! Very cute. Thanks for adding to the caches in the area.

Having completed the beginner puzzle series, this puzzle was no match for our newly developed solving skills, but enjoyed all the same. The effort put into the container was much appreciated and gets a well deserved favourite point.
We were chasing our 600th find, so this was the perfect time to complete this series of caches which had been on our must find listed for some time. We must have picked a quiet one evening, as we didn't have any issue with muggles!
Thank you for a great hide.

As I was heading out to Port Sorell today I had a look to see if I could get a few caches along the way. Set Mr Beetle to work solving a couple in this series and this was one of them.
A fairly quick solve and a quick find at GZ.
Must admit that I was a bit concerned about looking for a cache here on such a busy road but the cache was sufficiently away that my concerns were unfounded.
Noticed this cute hide on approach and was impressed by how appropriate the container was for this series.
Biggest problem here today was having to walk through the very long wet grass, over sodden ground to get to GZ. Boots were fairly wet by the time I returned to the car.
Thanks and a favourite point from me for a great container.

Just catching up with my old logs before I forget all about it.

Well this week myself and Goose were meant to be on the mainland at a Mega and we did think we would be going to this one but with Victoria letting the side down and restrictions on moving between states back in place all the Mega's we canceled or postponed.

With time booked off work we came up with a plan to do a lap of Tassie and collect some of the more out of the way caches in the West and then pick up some others on the North Coast before hitting Launy and then heading South to go home.

From filling the car on Monday to filling again when we got home on Saturday we covered just over 1800Kms, along the way we picked up 18 GCA caches, 57 GC caches, 1 puncture, 1 chipped windscreen and 1 engine warning light.

Found on 03/10/2020 at 9:27:00 AM thanks to MerilynTas for placing this cache for me to find.

After 5 days away it was time to head home, but not before we do this little series. Puzzle was solved ok before leaving home. As we approached GZ we spotted the cool cache and appreciated the relevance. I took a couple of photos as SR signed the logbook and we were away quickly.
Thanks MerilynTas, a favourite point from me for this one.

While I recognized the cipher it took longer than it should to get the co-ordinates. What a great cache container. Totally appropriate to be the first of this series. Thank you MerilynTas for the series.

22-Sep-20
Our second day up north and our plans have been changed due to the weather. We didn’t think long walks in the wind and possible showers/rain were a good idea so we reassessed the map and looked for more sheltered areas hoping the showers/rain would hold off. I think we did quite well.

Male membsec loves jigsaw puzzles. Recognised the cipher and soon had the checker agree with our coords. A quick find at GZ and we loved the container. A favourite point from us.

After logging #5, and hopefully giving Mrs 2y's time to log others in this vicinity, we returned from logging the Octagon Final. Found the very cute and original container and discovered we are second to sign after Sirius. Favourite for this one thankyou MerilynTas.

This was a straightforward puzzle with each step being completed without any problems. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a most appropriate and very well presented cache container. The cache and its contents were in good condition. Thanks MerilynTas for another very enjoyable cache - it earns a favourite for the very well prepared and presented cache container.
