What a great cache. I waded across from town to get this one. Beautiful morning with my daughter. Log is a bit tatty but signable. TFTC
Stopped by on our way out to our camping spot for the night. Some great looking houses out that way. Would like to see the remnants on a super low tide TFTC
Today we headed out for a few caches in and around Swansea with code and scones at Kates Berry Farm in the middle. We had a lovely day out, the weather was on our side and the scones were lush. Could only see the top of the boiler today. Nice hide here TFTC
Swansea has to be one of my favourite places in Tasmania so when we saw there was an Adventure Lab and 5 newish caches in the area we decided that a caching trip to the east coast was warranted.Did this one after finishing the ones in town and after a short flat walk we checked out what little is left of the boiler. While I was wandering around with the GPS trying to get coordinates Mr Beetle found it. The GPS at this stage still had me heading away from the cache and I thought the coordinates must have been out but I checked them when I walked back to do the signing duties and they were spot on.Thanks for bringing us to this spot and for a nicely constructed hide.Have a favourite point.
I walk to here often. Thanks for knowing the history of the boiler and sharing it.Great camouflaging.
Day 2 of our 10 day Tassie holiday. Non-caching husband was chilling at our accommodation & I went out hunting caches. What a beautiful beach.TFTC
Heading through Sawnsea, so stopped to get some caches. The beach access states the area is closed due to 'Wether Events', and the stairs were closed. However it is clear people (like me) had walked past the closed stairs! In anycase the beach appeared fine and undamaged to me.Also the tide was so high that only a small spout could be seen of what I guess is the boiler. An excellent way to hide the cache contained !Yet the plastic bag holding the container is torn!
The plastic bag holding the log book is torn and needs replacing.I carry sandwich bags to use for cache log book replacement bags, but they were too big for this cache and contents.
Super quick find! Would never have seen this beautiful area had it not been for this cache. Thanks tons
We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to Budgietas for the generation of this nice cache Old Boiler (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

It was a day of all seasons at Swansea. Finally the weather cleared after lunch, so with the tide conditions good to make the Meredith River crossing we headed off (of course there are easier ways to attempt this cache). A nice walk along the beach and before we knew it we were at GZ. After a short search Team M made the find of a cleverly constructed cache. SL TFTC Budgietas.
What a great beach, we were here at high tide and the view was fantastic.
After some traipsing around in the bushes, Mr Bear found the cache where we should have looked in the first place.
Nicely crafted, a classic where we come from.

Im from canberra to visit Hobart see my friend 63ROOS take me to drive around to country and find few caches.. the weather is ok,,,, tks
Today we found Old Boiler on our travels. We are on another visit from Melbourne just because…well, maybe it’s all those puzzles we solved during those many lockdowns! Having the opportunity to sign some actual logs is exciting!
Thanks Budgietas for bringing us here and adding to our geocaching fun.

Beautiful day on the beach, unfortunately did not have a pen to log the paper in cache. TFTC
Up this way again to cache from Swansea to Triabunna
This one was the last in the Dolphin Sands area for me to find.
Parked the GeoMobile at the suggested area and walked to the beach.
The cool creation was found after a wee search and the log was signed at 08:36 on TGIF 17 September 2021.
The cache and contents are in A1 condition

Hi Budge
A trip with Budge to perform maintenance at Swansea and find caches in the Interlaken area; so my trip took me from Huonville to Lenah Valley, through Sorell to Orford then on to Swansea across the middle to Campbell Town where lunch was had and then to Lakes Sorell and Cresent. A brief stop was made at Bothwell prior to returning to Lenah Valley and driving back to Huonville
A mix of GC and GCA caches were found along the way - twenty caches in all
To collect these caches I took 6014 steps expending 1425 calories to cover a distance of 4.69km on foot
This one was found and Sainted quickly at 1205 hours
The boiler appeared as the tide was not too high today
Thanks to Budge for a great day
Thanks and cheers

This morning after staying the night with nettie knows in Swansea, we decided to find all the caches in the area before heading back to Launceston. A nice morning out exploring the area.
Parked up and made the short walk to GZ, cache was found in the obvious place and is all good

So to finish off little little collection, after lunch back at camp, we headed to Dolphin Sands area, probably only the second time ever. I think I've red about this sort of cache before, but can't say I've found one ! So a nice new find set up for the recent event I guess, and we have now signed as well. TFTC Budgietas.
Found a likely walking track and headed off signed the log and then discovered a shorter track back.
Cool container hide. Tftc

After the event myself and goose teamed up with winged_kat in our car and drove round all the new caches in a convoy with WW, TT and e.gregory and even with some wrong turns and me slowing us all down with my moonboot we still managed four FTF's
I had a great day with some nice caches and great company making for an amazing day out, thanks again to Budgie for bringing me here for the day.
A joint {*FTF*} with gooseandegg, whitewebbs, Tassie Trekkers, e.gregory1 and winged_kat

When I saw that Tasmania was about to re-open its borders, I made arrangements straight away to fly to Hobart from Adelaide to catch up with family and friends (and of course, to find a few caches).
It turned out that the timing of my visit coincided with a geocaching event at Mayfield Beach as well as a Community Celebration Event and a CITO at Swansea, so I arranged my plans so I could head up there today.
After the Community Celebration Event I teamed up with gooseandegg, whitewebbs, Tassie Trekkers, stainless steel rat and winged_kat to find the various nearby caches published that day, including this one.
It didn't take us long to find the appropriately themed container for the *FTF*.
Thanks Budgietas for the cache.

It was great to see new caches published at the 20 year community event today for us to find. We headed off and were rewarded with a blank log sheet. An interesting container. Found with gooseandegg, stainless-steel-rat, Tassie Trekkers, e.gregory1 and winged_kat. TFTC

While attending the 20th anniversary celebration held by the CO, we were excited to attempt to collect the newly released caches for the event. It was so much fun getting to know fellow geocachers and seeing them out on the track. Credit must be given to BudgieTas and his sons for organising a fantastic day, and releasing 11 quality caches for our enjoyment.
We met one group of cachers checking out the old boiler in the ocean while signing the log on this fantastic cache, in such a beautiful location.
This cache is well deserving of the favourite point we have allocated to it.

Travelling with EeePees, Albydangles, 63Roos and her interpreter, we had great fun completing all the new geocaches published as part of Geosports at the Community Celebration event. As we approached GZ for this one we found a couple of other geocachers. We swapped a few stories of our adventures of the day so far and then made the find and added our names to the log. Nice cache container. We then proceeded to the beach for a great view of Freycinet.

Hello Budgietas thank you for the cache
This was our forth stop as we were finding the new Geosports caches in the company of EeePees Lil Rafa and 63ROOS.
After a drive back up north we stopped off and was handed this cache by the previous finders. After signing the log they put it back for us and then we all went for a little walk down to the beach to see another old boiler.
This was one of the caches found with EeePees and Lil Rafa during a very enjoyable "Swansea and beyond" road trip.

Make membsec joined mr_johna today to gather some newly published caches in the area after the Community Event and CITO in Swansea.
Very interesting area and a nice walk to GZ. Both old Boilers were spotted quickly. Not sure how people could miss the boiler in the sea.
Very clever cache container and therefore a favourite point!

Somehow a wrong number was entered and we ended up down another road. The flying rat got us back on track and we were soon parking near GZ.
A quick find and perhaps a little surprised that we found a blank logbook. I flicked through it just to be sure!
I've spent a lot of time at the other end of this beach with friends, prior to caching. It's a great area.

Initially we struggled with finding access to this cache but once the cache had been published and we had the parking coordinates, we were soon at the start of the track. From there it was a short walk and with accurate coordinates and the hint, the cache was quickly locate. The cache and contents were in good condition. Then as we were walking back, a very friendly dog checked us out as he headed to the beach for his daily walk - about 30m behind were his walking companions. Thanks Budgietas for this cache and the others placed in the area for the community celebration.
At the 20 year anniversary event. We missed the beach access and went on to the next one. That have is a chance to include a beach walk. Reperio was onto it.
A great day in Swansea started with a breakfast event then we went to the 20 years of geocaching event. Where we were given a list of new caches published in the area. So we got to find quite a few for the day before heading to Orford for the night with more to find along the way.
Didnt Park in the right spot for this one so had a nice walk along the beach....how did we miss seeing the boiler in the sea!!
Easy find thanks for the cache
