Staying at the Central Caravan park at Mackay.As the boys were out paddling. We were accompanied today by the Snakepitters & Team JLBLCaching mainly the south of Mackay region, a good morning out.We were happy to find a couple of good caches.This was at one of hubbies favouruet shops.Thanks alphag_25 for hiding this cache.

25/06/22 Owner Maintenance Run. Cache gone in garden cleanup. Has been replaced, Now MAGNETIC. Happy caching.

We tried this one but all the trees have been pruned, and we suspect that the cache might have gone with it.

Just realised I haven't logged this one. Was a few weeks back that I stopped here.

Our first stop for an evening hunt with geo-daughter Shadowlift. What's big and green you say? LOL! We actually went for the most obvious search location and were disappointed. So we actually used the GPS and found the cache quite quickly. All good here. So much traffic for a Wednesday night?? No sausage sandwich at this time of night though - such a disappointment. TFTC. SL.

Easy enough to spot but needed H to remove the lid. Had to wait for a learner truck driver having a detailed lesson to start driving away before we could return to the spot. TFTC

17/01/22 Maintenance Run All Good

On a road trip and caching adventure around Central Qld after our Vic mega plans were scuttled.

While searching for this one I found a brand new (still in wrapper) 300m roll of Telstra rope. Scored!

Gotcha !!! A few days caching with SKI Pair in Mackay area. TFTC

The GPS took us straight to the wrong place! Did a U turn and got back to the right spot. A straight forward find.

Our second full day out and about in Mackay with Temingi. Yesterday we broke 13,000 finds and in the next few days Temingi is hoping to crack 14,000. Not too sure why we’re helping him when our eventual goal is to reach and then pass him! Still, it’s always good to go out caching with like minded mates. If nothing else, the stories are always good to share.
We want to say thanks to all the local cache owners for placing these caches for us to find. Without you this wonderful pastime wouldn’t exist. We certainly appreciate your efforts in developing, placing and maintaining all the caches. We have lots of fun and plenty of exercise thanks to you.

Another day of caching in Mackay. This mornings run was primarily to pick up some of the caches we have DNF'd since we have been here. We ended up finding 6 and DNF'd 0.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache pretty close to where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.

With overseas travel currently out of the question and state border closures still a lurking as possibilities, my family and some close friends decided that travelling to North Queensland was our best option for a Christmas/New Year escape.

Last night we stayed in Mackay and while the rest of the family was still asleep I headed out at sun up to hunt a few local caches on my itinerary, including this one. Unfortunately the overnight rain was still falling but had eased off significantly enough to make caching possible.

I had to look from a few different angles before I chanced on the cache container, not quite where I was expecting to find it. TFTC

Tftc alphag_25, what's big and green is usually a tree that needs climbing. This was the other big green thing.

Always count on alphag_25 for decent hides. Similar to others in and around the area. Grabbed this after a strong full body session after work. It’s Earth day tomorrow and if I find an earth cache I will score a souvenir. Saweeet. Weekend sorted. Thanks again.
