Great Northern escape 2022 Day 108. Mackay to Clairview via Sarina. I am heading south slowly and spent the long morning caching along the Bruce Highway and in Sarina. Apart from a few failed tree caches, I had a great day with some interesting locations visited. It is all the more entertaining doing it with a van, and sometimes this means longer walks or skipped caches.
Most of the days caches were quick rad side stops. I managed to get to and into the tree without any problems, but I failed completely to locate the cache. So many places one could be in such a big tree.
Thanks.
Albida

I spotted this one had over a year of unloved so we made a quick stop. I didn’t spy it from the ground or even the hint item for that matter but I soon spotted it from up the tree.
I think the long grass approach would be at least a T2.5 and in my opinion climbs begin at T3 and go from there. I’d say this is at least a 3.5 or even higher as some will finding getting into the tree difficult.
Plenty of room on the log, being only the second to find.
Thanks alphag_25 for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

24/8/21 Maintenance Check. All good grass a little long on entry but path in still good. Cache still in position and ready to be found.
I like tree climbs and wanted to get an idea about your choices.
Walking through an overgrown area and GPS not really settling at one tree. So we walked back to the car.

Followed my GPS in to the listed coordinates through all the weeds and gazed upwards but no cache spotted from the ground, pity a it looks like an easy enough tree to climb
Ftf yeehaw, really had to work for it though. This is hands down the hardest cache I have done. It really isn’t for faint hearted if u don’t like heights. I tried many climbing paths but directly under the cache turned out to be the easiest. Make sure you wear clothes that allow for a lot of movement and stretch as u will need it.my gps was playing up, but yep it is that one even though you don’t want it to be.cool cache container though. I couldn’t figure out the clue until I saw it just hanging there. Omg this is an awesome cache and got my heart racing. Going up is so much easier then coming down. Hope this log is ok alphag_25 and not giving too much away-I’m just super excited by this one. Here is my pic
