Couldnt find even with all the comments but had fun, maybe Ill try again someday
Oh my goodness that took awhile thanks to looking through the photos we finally found it you definitely need to use your hands to find it
Bit of a wet day to go walking with friends. We were playing around the rocks then Mum asked if this was the location so I checked. I was scrambling in the wrong direction at first then Mum pointed it out. I checked for a writing implement and couldn't find one so will have to go back with a pen. TFTC
Took us lots of searching. 8 year finally succeeded, emerging from behind big rock
TFTC, was climbing all over before seeing the previous hint and found it straight away. Thank you for bringing us here it is so different!!
that sounded like a tricky one, but we were lucky and found it behind big rock, I mean a really big one TFTC
Heading home to Auckland today.I have passed this place many times before so it's really nice to stop here with the girls today and walk around. Thanks.
On a caching journey up to the north with Supernannny and Net61 to find some caches. Many kilometres were driven over a few days and many caches were found. Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements. We are heading home today and this is our first stop for the day. We stopped to stretch our legs and find some of the caches in the area. Once the phone GPS settled, the cache was soon in hand. A great hiding spot for a cache in an interesting location. TFTC
Such amazing rocks and interesting boards to find the history. A quick find. TFTC
Found with Dali87 within our famous trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
Fun find on a windy evening! We are in NZ on Holiday and this was my first international find, to commemorate I left behind a handmade clay coin. This was well hidden and we had a great time afterwards admiring the neat limestone formations. TFTC
Found with stairman1. Out at this neck of the woods grabbing these caches. All good here.TFTC
Found with goldielover today while wandering around here. Great place to stop.
All good here with your cache

Nice quick find with my muggle brother on an unplanned adventure... cache all good ready for the next finder
This is my fourth geocaching excursion to **beautiful New Zealand**!
Had to wait for 3 long years to return to Middle-Earth – due to the beasty disease Covid [xx(].
This time I’m on a road trip enduring for 26 days, covering both North- and South-Island.
The focus is on visiting old treasures and highly favourited caches [^], as well as rare D/T-combinations to complete the matrix .
This geo-treasure contributed to the finds of today. Cool! [^]
Had to search a little . But finally: **Gotsha!**
A big thanks [:X] to the owner SaltyCacheNutZ for hiding and maintaining this cache [^] - and best regards from Germany !

The area sure has changed since we were last here but good to have some info panels. A wonderful spot. Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ
A nice quick find. We had to shelter from the rain squall, and made a quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Time to head a little further north to Paihia for a couple of nights, before heading home.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Took a look, as best as we could in the cow pugging and wet mucky puddles. Too many potential places to search in the limited time available.
Another find while with the new friends. Be sure not to "man look" for this one haha.
Found at last, how did I and the grandsons not find it last time, probably because they don't have enough patience sometimes
Phew...got it after all!
Looked in map and saw the correct entrance and parking.
What a great series!
Would never have been here to see all this without it thanks!
No cattle....but cow pats look pretty fresh so better scarper!

Great little cache! Didn’t have search too hard, and kids loved looking at the trinkets.
Took a few minutes to find but got there! Wasn't sure if the nearby cows were angry or interested!
In the Hikurangi area, so called in and went for a walk around the rocks and lake. Soon located the cache before heading of to the next one. TFTC
Took us a while but we kept our hopes up before we left, and when we found it, we were happy and ready to find another one!
Gps jumps a bit under the coverage. So took a little while. TFTC found with Yvettetb
Found with kanoeboy, eKitten, LI0Npaw and co. We saw a sinkhole on the way back to the car. TFTC.
1232. 3:13 pm. I am almost embarrassed that I somehow missed this last time. Turns out my 17 metres were much longer than they should have been and the cache was found in seconds once I paced it out. You think after years of geocaching and so many finds I would not make such an amateur mistake, but it was much more enjoyable finding with family. Found with eKitten, GRAkiWi and LI0NPaw. TFT(Waro)C.
We stopped to grab these as we were running a little early on our travels. Because what else is there to do when running early? A quick easy find located with obvious camo. TFTC.
No joy today. Based on spoiler pics in other logs I feel reasonably confident that it is gone. I took a photo of where I think the cache was hidden and can forward to the CO if they would like to possibly confirm it needs attention.
A nice spot, out of sight. A nice evening for a short wander. Almost 5 years since I found verson1, sure doesn't seem like it. TFTC
Nice easy find, often walk round here haven't looked for this cache before! Thanks
Decided to stop and go for a walk around the area to grab a few caches in the area. A lovely walk around. Amazing rock formations. Had some cows watching us as we searched the area.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
We were looking for a good place to stop and stretch the legs and this area seemed ideal.
We enjoyed a stroll around both the reserve and the lake, but were really glad of the shady spots.
We'd just past a muggle who warned us of some rather large steers/cows near here, but they really weren't a problem.
No problems making the find here. We were going to leave a pet rock, but there was already one of our pet rocks in there
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Lovely afternoon stroll and always such an interesting place to visit. Thankyou for the smilie
Out for a walk with loopelou. Stopped for lunch here. What a pleasant place. Off to find the rest now.
We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.
I had a fall earlier in the week so I was now pretty much out of action with a very sore and swelling ankle, so I am only going to help find the nearby caches and gk is going to find any of the caches that require more of a walk. After spending time at the Te Kuiti medical / hospital centre my sprain has turned into a fracture and I am in a moon boot and told to keep weight off my leg.
The cache was in the second place he put his head, so a nice quick find here.
Thanks for placing this cache at this interesting place and thank you for the smiley

I found the original cache back on 12.12.14. It's 4 years later and I'm back trying to fill in a dot day. I enjoyed strolling around here again. This area certainly has some interesting looking rocks.
I struggled a bit to find this cache today. My phone GPS didn't settle well so I hunted in lots of places before finding it. I replaced the log over the top so hopefully it'll be easier for the next finder. Thanks for the cache

North Island Campervan trip Day 9
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I was able to spend the night in a small DOC campsite right on the beach in Woolleys Bay. My main intention for today was to get up to Russell in the Bay of Islands. I haven't been there in over 30 years, and was really looking forward to being there again. After that I was simply going to start heading back south again.
The sun was shining today, making the driving all the more pleasurable.
I stopped here to do the Earthcache and a couple of others I would encounter along the way including this one. Parking near the start of the walking track, there was no-one else around so I knew I would be able to search uninterrupted. Once at GZ, I then spent about 15 minutes looking around all the obvious hide locations for about 10m either side from where my GPS had brought me. But I was only 1 pair of eyes, and there were a lot of potential spots, and time was a factor so I had to move on empty handed.

Out with Team SEAC on a long weekend raid of the upper north island. This was our first area to attack after leaving Auckland. A very pleasant walk around the lake. A short search here. TFTC
Out for the weekend with Team SEAC for a weekend of fun. Thanks for placing this cache, sorry for the generic message.
With the mega being postponed a plan was hatched for some of the Team SEAC crew to head north for some fun. Today being Mr Stik-a-cranes birthday it was extra special.
A few stops along the way were planned to break up the day and this was one of them - so glad we did as we had a lot of fun!
UncleSam found this one but didn't let on he had so we were all still looking around for it before we cottoned on to what he was doing!!
Thanks for the cache.

Team SEAC has planned a raid of the very far North for Labour Weekend. We drove up to our forward base in Cable Bay caching all the way. All our logs were signed SEAC to save log paper
Another find on the walk around this reserve

In the area today with other cachers from Auckland, logging in as Team 'SEAC' to save log book space.
This is a trip up north as a replacement to our annual caching trip/mega postponed due to Covid 19 this year.
Thanks for bring us here.
TFTC.

Thank you so much this is so fun to spend some family time with family and friends since there is not much to do these days due to COVID:)
[FTF] 11.00am. Just! Saw this one pop up. Joy's of working at home. Took the opportunity to head out straight away knowing 0b8 will be minutes away. Parked up at 10.55 and made the dash to GZ. A quick look around and found an item that may have concealed the cache - yep was right. Signed and replaced it. As we were walking back along the track back to the car, we were right to come straight away.... here comes 0b8 towards us. Unknowing to him, he was on that ftf mission. We said our hellos in passing tehehehe ... left note for him.
haha, great to see some real FTF Racing, like back in the old geo days. And found in under an hour from publishing (@10:12AM) ; Well done (cheeky!) Nicholson Family! Looking forward to 0B8's log
Oh, the joys of working at home - it makes it so much easier to zoom out for an FTF on new caches that are published.
So this morning, when I stopped for a coffee refill, I checked my phone and noticed a new cache published half an hour previously, and it was just a few kms up the road in Hikurangi. Coffee can wait till I get back I thought, so I grabbed some GC gear and headed off, reasonably confident, even though I was half an hour behind the 8 ball.
As I pulled up into the carpark beside the Rock Man, I noticed a black van there as well, but didn't recognize it as a GC cache mobile. Probably just someone enjoying a sunny day walk around the amazing rock formations out at Waro.
As I headed off along the trail around the rocks, I rounded a corner and spotted 3 suspicious characters heading towards me. There was just something about them, that gave off a geocaching aura, but not having met them before, we just exchanged hellos in passing.
A minute later, I was at GZ and soon had the cache in hand. The log book appeared blank, so I was relieved to have another FTF, but then I realised I was looking at the last page, and when I flipped it over to the front page, there was the entry I was hoping not to see...!! Congrats to Nicholson Family on the FTF, just 5 minutes before I got there. So a 2TF for me at 11:05 am. Dropped off a small TB to continue it's journey.
Back at the carpark, I wondered if the black van may still have been waiting there, but it was gone. Then I noticed the note on the windscreen and had a laugh... Thx Salty for placing this new cache for us to find and NF for adding a bit of FTF race excitement on this first day back at Level 1.
