Hi Angus88. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5193 and I found it on Friday 25 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Thanks Angus88 for placing Westie Series - MONTY. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 2. Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2139 and was found on 25/10/2024 at 11:00FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
We wanted to do this walk on a high tide and we certainly got that this morning combined with high river flow made the water levels very high todayTFTC

In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Out on the bike today, grabbing the remainder of this series and others along this trail. Enjoyable views along the river and a few muggles out walking. Started searching at wrong stump but a easy find when in right location. Thanks Angus88 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Today we finally left Devonport after 6 nights and lots of different weather for a change of scenery and headed all the way to Latrobe. Its quite different here.We had a lovely walk at Bells Parade and then trundled along the bike path back towards Devonport to collect the balance of the caches in the Westies series. The most splendid of summers afternoons, beautiful weather. Sadly no platypus spotted today but lots of birds. Quick find and sign TFTC
On a walk with the GeoWesties to complete the maintenance run of the entire Westies Series [started a few days ago]. All good here with Monty.
Walked the trail between areas our car could pull off.Caching with The X-Trailers finishing the trail we started walking last night. TFTC
Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Three: Devonport Ferry to Latrobe (via Penguin and Sheffield).
Weather: sensational.
I’ve decided to finish the day with a walk along the Mersey River, and this was one of seven caches in the Westie series that I logged. I stayed in Latrobe Caravan Park the last time I was here, the night before all the flooding started. You wouldn’t really know that there had been a flood from walking along here today.
All caches were easily found and in good condition thanks to the double container system used. Thanks for the cache and the series Angus88.

That was an easy cache.. just follow the hint and directions and boom !! Thanks for this small cache
Was out in Burnie placing a cache today but came back to Devonport to drop off geo sis abb when we remembered we haven’t found a cache today! I was having a lovely walk on this path not paying attention to my phone when I liked to my side and noticed something suspicious and there it was cache in hand! It does seem like a possum has been living bing on top of this cache and left some dropping. Thanks for the find and all in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Angus88.
RLD4963, the two GeoGSP's and I were making our way to Port Sorell for a few days r&r. We have driven along this road a few times over the past couple of years, and have seen this track under construction and once finished have thought what a great piece of infrastructure. Today we actually walked along it and searched for your caches along the way. We passed a lot of people using the track - walkers, familes on bikes, other dogs walking their owners, and a even a couple of people on an e-scooter - this included RLD4963, who was giving his knees a rest.
This one was a nice quick easy find.

We needed a find today to fill a gap on our caching calendar so mr sharnie's tribe went looking for this one. We'd scouted it out previously so only had to come back on the right day to sign the logbook. This new pathway is certainly well used, a great addition for the community. TFTC
MONTY's cache was found and his log was signed at 10:07 on Wednesday 24 November 2021.
The log within is good and dry.
(The tide is way out at the moment exposing the mudflats. I have always wondered what land mass would look like with the ocean missing. The Continental Shelves exposed would show us just how deep the sea would have been way off shore [:o]
It would be so fascinating).

The clue was more than sufficient here . A nice walk along the river flats this morning
Very tidy cache and lovely walkway that is very sheltered on a blustery day. This is the only cache in the series that I will get today but I’ll definitely be back to do the whole walk at some stage. Thanks for bringing me along this way Angus88.
Freddo's real name is Monty. There is the full monty in the shower every morning. Hard to get that image unseen. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Tried to do this walking series today but unfortunately they are doing some serious work on it so only managed to find 3 of them
Today with the weather not looking so bright in Launceston seemed like a good idea to head to the north west for a full days caching. Started in Latrobe before heading west and finding myself in penguin then detouring back home via penguin and 2 caches in Launceston to top off a long day out. Total of 66 finds and 15 labs for the day
Thanks for the cache

Well, finally had a day to go and do some caching and had some good weather!!!!
The plan was to get the cache "Shale Cliff" and some puzzles that had been solved around Ulverstone, then on to Penguin, and hopefully a few around Devonport on the way home. Was up early and out the drop before 6. The drive to Devonport was fairly boring with the GeoKids, as we had done this road so many times before, but worth it considering the goal.
Our target was for 50 GC caches to get my yearly tally to 500 and total GC to 5500. Luckily I was successful in this
TFTC
The tree that the cache is attached to has cracked in the recent bad weather, and half fallen on to track. Suggest a visit by owner

Thank heavens for the specific instructions for this one!!
It still took Mr Beetle to come and find it though, after our grandson and I had given up. As he was parked not too far away we yelled out and he came along and spotted it straight away. Don't you hate that!!
Thanks.

Searched for ages and pretty sure I was in the right place. This one is too well hidden for me today
Combining a trip to the poultry farm for bagged manure, coffees at the Crowded Lounge and collecting the remainder of the Angus Series of caches. All good at GZ, dry and conveniently placed. Thanks for this series, which will come into its own once the pathway is complete.
Today we headed to Latrobe with whitewebbs to attend the community event and took the opportunity to find some caches in the area and this was one of them.
Although it rained most of the day we were still able to enjoy day and we visited some areas not been to before.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Up from Hobart Mrs W travelled to the Community Event at Latrobe with Tassie Trekkers in pouring rain. As we had a day of caching planned we packed a change of clothes and the rain coats. Arriving in Latrobe around 8.30 am we cached until 7.30 pm and had an enjoyable break at the event for two hours. Our list of caches changed as the weather improved or worsened so we will have missed a few. Gives us a reason to return. This will be a nice walk when they finish the track. TFTC
I was passing by on my way to Ulverstone so I detoured to see if Monty would co-operate and be found easily. Thank you Angus88 for the Series. That now leaves me only to find Lochie on some future occasion.
After caching on the road to Devonport Airport, we continued on to Bells Parade at Latrobe to check on a cache to see if it had become a casualty of some maintenance (it was still in place, safe and secure). Being so close, we continued on to this cache which has only been published today. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. the cache and contents were in good condition. To our surprise the logbook was blank. So we will claim {FTF} at 16:44. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Angus88 for another cache in the Westies series. We then took a little time to admire the superb reflections in the part of the Mersey River flowing past the track.
