13251. Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1105. We decided to find a couple of multi's and traditionals as we left Hawker this morning to make our way to Broken Hill. We got to SL Tnx earthlight
Second day of the dynamic duos venture north. Left Orroroo and headed up to Hawker for a nice and relaxing day as time was not going to be a problem. Didn't have a lot of caches on the must do list so ended up looking for, and finding, any cache close enough to the road we were traveling north on. Still got to Hawker in time for a couple of shortish walks which enabled us to clear the immediate area of any unfound caches. And of course, the main aim of the trip, the A Taste of Hawker's Heritage AdLab. All up, completed an Earthcache as well, and found twenty physical caches and this was one of them.
The log here was rather full so left a fresh one.
Thanks to earthlight for placing this cache on our playing field.

With a few days off work I decided to head north for a night to the Flinders Ranges, and attempt to find SAs longest unfound traditional cache and Mount Abrupt plus what ever I had time for in the area. A beautiful part of the world up here.
Thanks for the cache

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Today, we are caching along the road from Hawker to Peterborough. Thanks, earthlight.
Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Staying in Orroroo for a few days. After lunch we ducked out in light drizzle to try and add to our smilies in Orroroo.

With the packed roads heading north for the long weekend, it was nice to turn onto a less congested road and take a break [^].Quickly found . TNLNSL.Another great looking building we'd love to look inside .Thanks Earthlight.
I managed to get away for a couple of days to try abd build up the numbers for the year. I stayed at Orroroo overnight and made my way around the mid north.

On our travels a nice quick find at a wonderful location thank you for bringing us here
A quick find even though we thought we were being caught by a muggle. Turned out to be a fellow cacher and we had a lovely chat. TFTC
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. Geocaching has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
An easy enough find while exploring these old buildings.
Thanks earthlight for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Found during a caching trip to SA's mid north staying at Orroroo for two nights and Jamestown for the last night. Thanks for the cache earthlight!
We decided to load up the camper and run away from home for a week or two. The rain and a domestic water repair made us change our plans a few times but it didn't detract from the fun. We met quite a few people and learnt a lot from them - we were privileged to be shown a dugout at Coober Pedy and station life at Edeowie. We also found time to find a few caches, but we still have many unfound in the areas visited. Looking forward to returning to the upper north of South Australia one day soon.
Thank you to all those who helped make our trip very enjoyable.

Quick find after a dear friends funeral today shed a tear but our friend is a peace now a church cache TFTC
Headed north with Jack and the lovely Purrfect Di.
Saw some sights. Checked some shops. And found some caches of course, like this one...
A strong movement in the force in Orroroo. God moves in mysterious ways.
Thanks to earthlight for placing and maintaining this cache on our northern geo game map

Looking each and every day finding and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for sand traps, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for any old bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now everything's opening more - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Heaps of appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thank you for reading all this addition to the log word count!

Alice Springs to Adelaide Roadtrip
Day Five: Woomera to Morgan
The weather remains way cooler than around the red centre, much more conducive to travelling and geocaching. Morgan might seem like a strange choice for the last night, but I have my reasons!
I quite like Orroroo as a stop between Port Augusta and Adelaide and prefer this route to Highway 1 unless I’m pressed for time. This was one of four caches here.
Thanks earthlight.

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
DAY 5: Exploring some mid north towns.
Another quick find for us.,
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks earthlight for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Big drive home from Rawnsley Park to Adelaide before the next leg of our holibobs to KI.
Did a bit of a detour as the Moho driver was going a bit more slowly than me. Collected 12 caches and 5 labs before getting back into Moho planning.
Nice quick find at a lovely old church. TFTC Earthlight

Another Orroroo speedy find. This place is very geo-friendly. The tourist info includes a map of the geocaches in town and there are signs around the streets directing you around the geo-trail. I love Orroroo.
Found It!
Another quick find here on a quiet Sunday afternoon. There's a sign across the street with the geocaching logo on it but I'm not really sure what it has to do with geocaching.

Day 7
A church cache that isn't a multi, how strange. Found with jacknor and mogni. quick find.
found with Mogni and Jacknor. We where heading up Carrieton for a couple of days and then on to the Flinders Rangers for 5 days. The plan was to find as many of the church multi's as we could going up and then bright and early the next day head off to the " Bendleby Ranges " 4 x 4 tracks. Then clear the next section of multi's between Carrieton and Rawnsley Station and of course a few stray trads that would help Jacknor's jasper grid. A straight week of over 30 degrees meant less hiking than planned but we still got to the top of Rawnsley Bluff as well as some other smaller hikes. The Rawnsley station 4 x 4 track was completed and by then it was time to decamp and start the drive home. Stopped at orroroo and cleared the town out before going back to the church multi grind. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and extra logs added to those caches that the scroll was full or almost full, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintenance on them.

Holiday time, a week in the Flinders Rangers with sir_spectre and Jacknor. We had lots of fun, walk and of course found some caches. Today we packed up the camper and started to head for home early, strangely it took 13 hours to get home... Today we did lots of cache maintenance replacing cache containers and adding logbooks.

We had planned to visit Peterborough for the weekend to attend an event and do some caching. and as we had to deliver a heap of Crystal Decanters that we had engraved for the Clare wine show, to them, we figured we are halfway there..might as well carry on, so we organised a day off and are having a "long Weekend' up North! Today we teamed up with hevwalker and Bron. A quick find here todayTFTC

Day 30 of my trip north from Adelaide in search of warmer weather and a few caches.
I travelled up the Strzelecki Track then weaved my way around central and western Queensland as far north as Mount Isa. It was getting too warm for me to go any further north, so I crossed into the Northern Territory to Tennant Creek and began to head south. Eventually I ended up at Lamberts Centre and, after having to adjust my plans due to track closures as a result of deep bulldust, I headed to Mount Dare and down the Oodnadatta Track. I was hoping to go home via the northern Flinders Ranges.
However the Track was closed south of William Creek due to flood damage, so I had to detour to Coober Pedy and down the Stuart Highway. The Borefield Track from Roxby Downs to Marree was also closed, but scheduled to be reassessed in the afternoon, so I camped just north of Pimba last night in the hope that it would be re-opened and I could resume my travels as planned.
Unfortunately that was not to be, so I had to continue down the Highway all the way to Port Augusta, before heading north again.
On my way I noticed a cluster of five new unfound caches at Orroroo. It was not much more of a deviation in the scheme of things, so I decided to take the detour.
This cache was quickly found at a nice old church building. On opening it I noted a previous log from earlier today that hadn’t been logged. So silver for me.
Thanks earthlight for the cache.

Wow what a coincidence! Our first FTF and we found it as we were going to the Flinders ranges. Just looking for some nearby caches and saw that this wasn't found. TFTC!
PS: for other cachers, roll the log book tightly and place it in the lid so it is easy to get out for future cachers. We didn't do this and it was a little bit of a struggle to get out.
