We had been watching this cache a couple of years ago as we have enjoyed many of the older 2 Dogs hides so was disappointed to see it archived due to a cracked lid instead of someone replacing it. Today we realised we would be close and managed to find the co ords and indeed we were close so headed over. Once at GZ we could see why the lid would break due to the rocks and tried our luck to see what was left. The hide was soon found and the log book dry. Unfortunately we did not have a spare container big enough to replace it but after signing hide it under a large rock to keep it dry. TFTC.
I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:
- Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
- No response from the cache owner.
- No cache to find or log to sign.
- It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
- Cache has been abandoned by cache owner/cache in disrepair
As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in cache name) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.
If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.
Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

With the rain starting to come down heavier (that is it went from 5 spots per hour to 6 spots every five minutes) I thought one more grab before the darkness kicked in.
This old cache was the one I chose.
I soon found the cache but as others before me have stated the lid has seen better days....quite frankly, it's stuffed.
With the log book signed and the cache covered the best I could, I was on my way.

Went to add some caches to the GPS that we haven't used in several months and realised we missed logging this one. Luckily I could figure out the date as we completed it on our way to an engagement in Ballarat. We generally go Talbot way but took the McCallums creek route this time to grab this cache.
This one took us a while as it was quite warm and not wearing appropriate footwear, we were quite paranoid about snakes and therefore searched quite timidly.
Eventually we found it and got the log signed. Container was in need of some TLC.
Found with chan02, neisha07 & boo09. TFTC

Always glad to add a smiley but as we are logging this late, it actually stuffs up my 100 milestone. Oops!

Pam was having some friends around this afternoon for a quilting session, so after mowing the lawns this morning, I took off after lunch on a little road trip west to try and finish my qualification for the Local Government Area challenge cache by Sedgwick Dave.
Found after a short hunt not helped by a misbehaving GPS.
Unfortunately I had no spare containers as this one has a badly smashed lid. I tried to leave it so that the cover deflected most of the water, but it needs attention badly.
Another LGA ticked off.
Thanks for placing this cache The 2 Dogs

This cache is not in the best shape, but was in a nice little spot nonetheless. TFTC
TheRustyDuck and I quickly found this one after the short drive out to it. We were lucky that it was cool and snakes weren't such an issue. The cache seems to have become the home a spider as it does have a hole in the lid.
Have driven past here to visit friends up the road for years!! TFTC. Was completely exposed so hid a little better. Box not replaced as yet. TNLN SL
This container is pretty much due for a change. A bit weather worn. Love the cows watching me. MOOO
We done this one while caching in the area, It great to explore in different areas outside of our hometown, thanks to The 2 Dogs for the cache and showing us this spot.
CO needs to check this hide. Cache container has been damaged recently with lid broken. Found this quite easily, just followed the walking track through the grass to GZ. Signed old waterlogged log and new log provided by another geocacher. This place has real character. TNLN TFTC The 2 Dogs.
Great spot, great views despite the weather. Saw to very large wedge tailed eagles not far from here which was awesome. Caches does need maintenance. Signed the replacement log. Found with geokids and emily63. TFTC.

Thanks for the cache! A nice spot in here that I wouldn't have known about except for your cache.
Unfortunately the cache is in real bad condition and in need of desperate attention. The lid of the container is broken and doesn't seal also the log book was damp and covered in mold and the pen is not working.
I have left a new log book but did not have a spare pen to leave.

Visited friends in Maryborough for lunch with sulkybear and the geokids (age 3 & 5) so picked up a few caches on the way there and back.
My in laws used to live about 1km away so was nice to look at their old place. I worked out the spot from the hint. Nice use of words! Beautiful views. Thanks

Echo21 and Hubby went for a drive today and found this cache reasonably easily, apart from the very, very long, wet grass. The cache box is in very poor condition with wet mouldy log book. Took a smurfette and left a slinky, SL TFTC.
Great location, but I hated the hiding spot, sorry, I dispise long grass.
Log book needs changing too, its been soaked.

I was very foolish going in for this cache , due to a very, very snakey area. With rubber boots, long stick and gruff voice, I ventured along. Cache found, signed and very slowly retreated. PHEW!! TFTH
Find #858 @ 1554
After having to go to Ballarat for an appointment I decided to take the long way home to grab some caches.
Am I glad that it was not a hot day as the grass at GZ was well over knee high and I would not have had a chance to see a snake if there was one there.
after having a look around I soon gave in and decided to use the hint. it was then clear as to the location.

Found on the way to MTBO. Thanks for taking me here. What a great country. TFTC
Glad that I didn't touch the fence. Knew where and what to look for and really appreciated the scenery here. The ground had been cultivated and the brown earth was a rich dark colour.
The land did go on and on as did my search until I read a previous log.
A great southern land of ours that you have showed me..

Found on a chilly wintery autumn morning with the geowife. Love these old windmills. Today it was working overtime making some pretty damn awful noises. I think the windmill might need some work done to it. Growing up on the farm helped me understand the clue easily and the cache was located soon after. Can confirm previous logs that coords are about 7m off, but that shouldn't hinder people.
Thanks The 2 Dogs for bringing me here.
Cache in Fair condition. Container starting to crack up, however contents in OK condition.

An iconic image with the windmill and the road disappearing over the hill into the distance. Thanks to The 2 Dogs
At last a cooler day during our stay in Maryborough. Road in meant careful driving. GPS not happy ate the spot so used the hint to guide us to possible locations eventually locating the cache.

After admiring the simple operation of the windmill spinning in the breeze cranking the piston, The Spindoctors and myself wandered through the long grass, being careful not to step on 'wiggly sticks', finding the cache fairly quickly. signed the log and continued on our adventure of finding these 10+ year caches. Thanks The 2 Dogs
As my brother and I continued our trek to find the olde caches of central Victoria we came across this one. A great out of the way location. But what's this? A 2 Dogs' cache? In Victoria? Those were the days Great spot to stretch the legs and take in the view. Now what were you two up to out here?
No snakes today. The electric fence looks to have been removed. A couple more hazards to watch out for barbed wire and loose rocks. Nice spot. Found after a couple of minutes looking. TFTC.
Took far to long to find!
If you follow the geotrail you will be disappointed.
The cache was located further towards the intersection.
Use the clue.

This was our 3rd find for the day while out with Kinkell1. Well talk about GPS's taking you a merry dance ours did today, between dirt tracks, bushbashing almost getting stuck in ruts where only a 4 wheel drive should go we were about to give up when we were heading back to main road for another cache we found another road in and a reasonable road at that and before we knew it were near GZ, and then when we got to GZ being careful of electric fences which turned out not to be electrified thank goodness, as Mr Wanderer slipped and got an inch and half cut in his hand from the barb wire fence so be careful of the barbed wire fences as they do bite. THANKS TO KINKELL1 for perservearing with trying to find this one as she was driving and also played nurse when Mr Wanderer was bleeding and needed patching up.

"OH MY GOODNESS"!!!! Do not try to get this cache from the east around the swamp tracks....unless you happen to have an all terrain vehicle!! And with a very high undercarriage at that! After approaching from the east, the track petered out to just ruts and mud, so hesistantly, with Mr Wanderer directing me I reversed back a few hundred metres until I found a place to turn round....we were still 4km + from the cache! Stooopid GPS!! finally got back onto a made road and headed off for another cache....but wait..if we turn left we just might find another road in...lets look.....aha...a real road! Off we drove and there ahead was the windmill! We found the cache fairly quickly but as already said, some first aid was needed for Mr Wanderer. SL TFTC and the adventure. My little pulsar just earned its 4WD certificate!
Glad to have this one crossed off the list at last. Having been here previously on a stinking hot summers day with both Geo Kids, we gave up then after a fruitless 20 min search, due to my phobia of those long slimy looking things. Today was no different, and hearing "something" rustling in the long dry grass behind me, must've taken another 2 years off my life again. We did see one of those long slimy looking things at another cache today, so I may not have been overreacting when I heard noises here. Bogonghazy's persistence paid off, and we left with a smiley. Fantastic rural landscape at GZ. If it wasn't for those "things" I would have hung round a little longer with the camera in action. TNLNSL. Thanks to The 2 Dogs.
This one took far longer than necessary for Sully1 and I, and it was only after decrypting the clue that we managed to pinpoint this one, but I had to jump the fence to extract it.
No damage done, and a nice area to visit, thanks The 2 Dogs

Finding this cache was a bit tricky, all the rocks kind of looked the same, and the prickle bushes weren't helping me to move about either. I got it in the end, a pleasant day to be out amongst the fields and cows. I had no problem accessing the area, I checked Google and Bing Maps earlier to find the best path in (from the west side in my opinion).
There was unfinished business with this cache - having searched fruitlessly for this one a couple of times in the past. Finally worked out what the clue meant in one of those geo-brain brainstorm moments a few months ago. Finally got back here to test the clue theory (put the GPSr away and played the clue) and had the cache to hand in twenty seconds - no kidding! You could have heard the yelps of delight in Clunes after the log was completed. Found in the company of Dylan 7a. TNLN. Thank you to 'The 2 Dogs' for this cache. I can get some sleep now having nabbed it!
We arrived at the Gz, and found some geotrails which took us to no cache. We then used the GPSr and the cache was quickly in hand. Thanks The 2 Dogs. TFTH...LN Took TB

Great little cache. Had no problems finding it, once I'd got to the site. I tried to drive out to the East which I had planned looking at roads on Google. But the roads just petered out, or turned into swamp. I did drive through three boggy spots, each of which I thought, " gee I hope I don't have to come back through that!", which in the end I did. One spot I think I was luck not to get stuck. It would have been ugly if I had,
Thanks for bringing me here. Dropped in a coin.

Like most I was a bit concerned about the possibility of 'joe blakes' being around in the tall grass where the GPSr was wanting to take me, particularly as the weather was warm. Managed to locate the cache quickly, contents dry but plenty of evidence that it had been wet as previously mentioned. One of the catches showing signs of too much UV exposure, maybe some SPF50 required. TNLNSL TFTC
Found 12.45pm
Parked up close by but were worried about the waist high grass that the GPSr was pointing us into. Walked around looking for something that matched the hint when the penny finally dropped. Like others we found the log to be quite damp but were still able to write out log.

Too nice a day to sit indoors and this cache had been beckonning for some time. Initially, the Sat-Nav tried to take me over some rather vague and muddy thoroughfares, coming across from River Views but I figured there had to be a better way so I ignored it and approached from the other side. Much better. Had the place to myself except for a few cows. The new GPS lobbed me on the spot quite quickly, allaying my initial doubts as I surveyed the terrain. (Geez they've come a long way in ten years or so.) No swaps made. The log book is rather damp and mouldy and probably won't be useable for much longer. Many thanks for the cache, Hounddog and Snifter, from a fellow canine.
found at noon Easter Saturday ... took a photo of the windmill, found the cache after reading the hint, thanks!
1st find for the day.

Found on our way to Swan Hill for the weekend, after taking the wrong road and back tracking we got to GZ the clue really helped and a passing farmer gave us a good looking over as we "photographed" the windmill, and the nearby cows not sure what we were up to either. Nice to hear one of these working. Log book was wet and very mouldy and could do with replacing. SL TFTC NINO
Indeed this was an iconic location in the Australian landscape! It took me several minutes to completely wake up to the hint but once I did the rest was easy. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find, for # 274, today. Its been a while between drinks for this cache, however, although the contents were OK the logbook is on its last legs, no replacement availabe today, perhaps the next finder can replace.
The windmill lived up to its name, and creaked for a while in the wind.
After finding this cache made the mistaake of trying a shortcut back to the main road. Big mistake, the falcon is NOT a 4wd as I learned today.

Found by edmil & maddie. We decided to do a short detour and grab this one. The area is so Australian both past and present. At GZ so many places to look, so many joe blakes to look out for. It was gunna be a ripper of a cache mate. Well we busted a gut trying to get it in our maulers but eventually had to eye the clue. Ah the penny dropped and we had the cache in no time. Not a joey in sight and none of them muggles about either. We put our monika in the log and returned it to its hide. Thanks for the cache mate, real true blue. No swaps were made.
14:15 King and Queen Snr where not at all happy campers - out in their motor home "turtle" the in car navigation said turn left in 200 meters.... and they felt like they were going into a swamp ! Doh..... ! Maybe next time - thanks anyway.
Found the windmill but needed the hint for the cache. Glad I bring the kids along for the leg work.
17th find of the day at 12:25pm. Accompanied by Feathertop, we thought we might have trouble here but it was an easy find with the help of the hint. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx to The 2 Dogs for my 1500th find
1600th find today in the compnay of Oenze who made this one his 1500th, so a double celebration. Oenze cracked the clue and the cache was ours in seconds. TNLN thanks 2 dogs.
Couldn't find. Re- read the logs for clues but none appeared so gave up after 20 minutes after the geokids gave up after 5. Typical aussie backdrop and scenery. Couldn't help but notice even the weeds were dead. Thanks anyway houndog and SNIFTER.

This one challenged the tolerance of our small group. We had great trouble finding the way in as our initial route was blocked. It took us forever to locate the cache as our coords had us several metres away. Mr Morris finally located the cache and then it started to pour. The container was cracked and the contents a soggy mouldy mess.
We had a container ready to place today so placed the log book in this, rehid it and threw away the original box. Hope this is cool with 2Dogs - is in a slightly different location to prevent the cause of the problem. Will email with the details.

Fourth of six cache finds for the day. My Mother in-law had to go to a funeral in maryborough and needed someone to drive her there, so I ran down my check list ( Automatic car, Cruise control, Fuel paid for, Lunch at the local pub paid for and caches to log) all looked good was I dreaming. This is where my dream started to turn into a nightmare, My Gps had me at the fence pointing in at the water trough, I was sure it was not inside the fence so I began to search the fence, how many rocks can one turn over with one good arm.My caching Mate Dak Emu hates them in rocks and I was beginning to feel the same way. I spent around twenty minutes going up and down before I cracked the hint I then concentrated my search at the Item in the hint but no luck. By this time I was sure my Mother In-law would be calling to say the funeral was over and it was time to pick her up, so I rang the Pprass help line making this a Gaff 4 find. The trouble with couch grass is that it covers everything over, once I new where to look I soon had it in hand at 11:50. The lid of the container is beginning to develop cracks due to the object placed on top of it. Thanks 2 Dogs (Hounddog and SNIFTER) For the cache.
Found while heading back to Ballarat from a tech job in Maryborough. (Don't tell the boss!)
Walked straight up to hiding spot, co-ords were spot on.
Great size cache container that was well stocked.
Unfortunately I had nothing to swap (nothing even in the work car), so TNLNSL.

Found by Roma and Max, together with Bevfre.
We have never been in the area at the right time to check this one out and were really pleased to see that pprass had used their geo intuition to confirm this cache was just waiting to be found again.
An easy find now that we knew it was there!
We took a Parrot and left a Mondo Figurine, together with a new zip bag for the log book.
Thanks 2 dogs,

Found by Roma and Max, together with Bevfre.
We have never been in the area at the right time to check this one out and were really pleased to see that pprass had used their geo intuition to confirm this cache was just waiting to be found again.
An easy find now that we knew it was there!
We took a Parrot and left a Mondo Figurine, together with a new zip bag for the log book.
Thanks 2 dogs,

Many thanks guys for finding this one. I shall bring it back on line. What a great find for you.
Found at 5.20pm GAFF3. We were in the area and we saw the circumstances that led to the previous DNF's and thought that it was not conclusive that the cache had been muggled. So even after more than 2 yrs of it being not found and then archived, we decided to have a go. Got to GZ and started to look amongst the rocks which is where both our eXplorists were pointing. 5 minutes of turning over rocks and a trip back to the Patrol to check on the hint (which didn't help much!), C-pprass then came back to the scene and in a quite voice said - Look what I have found! What a beauty - she deserves a kiss which apparently was not enough! Well the cache is still there amongst the grass. We rehid it by placing some rocks around it so that there is a feature to look for when next searching. Thanks 2 dogs tn/ln

As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Before we jump into the deep water and place this in archives maybe someone who has been to this site and found it could do a check on it please.
We had a fantastic journey on the way to locate this cache, with the bovine residents in their pastures keeping a close eye on us all the way!
We spent about 20 minutes searching for the cache but couldn't find any evidence of it at all. Perhaps if a successful log is recorded in the near future, we'll try again. It was worth the trip.

we pulled up and we was pouring rain, we got out of the car anyway instantly had wet fett up to our ankles. we had a bit of a search around but the weather was a bit to much for us and the local farmers were very sus. of us sorry,
Found at 5pm with Kiwideb. A nice easy find and front of an audience of cows, who didn’t seem to mind us being around. It’s good to see that windmills still have a place in our country and work simply with efficiency. Swapped a whistle for a toy car.
Found this cache with Alan-san and Muzza in tow. Nice easy and quick find. I love those ones. Found at 1700 swapped a MacDonalds toy for a Gnome. Didn't test the fence I've had my share of shocks from them.
Thanks 2 dogs for the cache.

Found at 11.20am. A well worn pad and a curious farmer feeding his cattle greeted us at this cache.
An easy find next to a sleeping Australian Icon.
Thanks 2Dogs

Yes a great icon of the Great Southern Land. With the soothing noise of the windmill above us we searched for the cache. While looking in several likley places I almost stood on the cache.

Found cache Monday afternoon on my way to Maryborough very hot and windy! The cache is well hidden in the tall dry grass, I was worried about finding a snake instead of the cache lol,
great spot 2 dogs. Thank you, Team Mikita.

Found at 2pm. Nice to see a little path to GZ, so I didn't have to worry about hidden nasties! The windmill was pumping a lot of water today, making a lot of noise. Even so, the cache took a while to reveal itself - I discovered it the same way as Biggles Bear ! Took a footprint pen and left a pencil and parrot. Thanks 2 Dogs!
Found 14:45, after a brief search, nice outlook and the windmill was performing for us. Biggles Bear does wonder however what will happens next time farmer does a burn off.
Took two colour Christmas stamp and left screw driver, Thanks 2Dogs.

This is so typically Australian, with the windmill rumbling in the background. It was a hot day and the whole area is very dry. I was on the lookout for Joe Blakes but the worst I had was a plethora of grass seeds sticking into my socks. The well worn track led me straight to the cache so the GPS was superfluous.
I took the insect repellant wipes and left a bottle of Pot Pourri Oil and a Christmas Rolling Stamper. My thanks to the 2 Dogs for the cache. (I often wonder what takes the cache owners to these places in the first instance).

Found at 12.40PM. We followed the well trodden path and trod on the cache so it wasn't too difficult to find. Just enough breeze today to turn the windmill gently and we listened to it's clunking as we filled in the log. Swapped a stamp for embi's signature item. Greg and Bev
Found more easily than I thought we would probably because of the path that has been worn through the tall grass. Great location thanks 2 Dogs. Took pencils and left wooden craft toys.
This cache was on the way home from somewhere for both Mark(Embi) and I today.
After searching for about 30 mins we found it just 3 meters from the co-ords above. But that 3 meters was a 20 meter walk around a large prickle bush.
What a great location, thanks Two Dogs.
(I didnt have anything for exchange.)

I was out and about at a wedding not far at all from this cache today. What else could I do. I spoke with Darryn and we decided to meet up and do it. Having UHF radios is such a handy thing and we contacted each other by radio as we both reached the cache area. We continued on from the highway chatting away and then came to gz. We knew exactly the spot by the windmill but even with 12 satellites locked in and 4m accuracy we still couldn't find it. Both gps pointed to exactly the same spot. We were just about to give up when we widened the search area and even though we were very close the accuracy and number of sats put us off and the cache was found about 3m away. Good cache two dogs. Took chocolate sticks (I'm sure they would have melted soon) and left an embi signature item
