WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 29 - Bruce Rock to Corrigin via Quairading. This was a day of roads that while sealed, were not in much use. I visited a few used to be towns with one which still had a church and a scheduled service for April 27 2025, at lest they can plan ahead. I saw a rabbit trap on the old rabbit fence, lot of effort went into that enterprise. I had a few disappointing fails and plenty of great caches along the way. Plenty of cloud about today, but I think that just made it warmer. No sign of rain so far. A different sheet of placement but easy to find. We never even had to bend.

Full time nomads since February 2014, back in WA to visit family.

Still tootling around the countryside picking up some smilies after WAGB. Based in Quairading for a couple of days we ducked out in the morning drizzle, thankfully it cleared up for the most part of our day.

Visiting from the east and heading to the WAGB event and caching along the way and at the event and areas around Narrogin then on to Kulin and back to Perth via a quick visit to Albany. Thanks to all the various COs for placing caches (or EC and virtuals) for us to locate, learn and explore. Signing as Team East+2.

Day three of visiting the local regions with geo friends and enjoying driving around the countryside.
During our travels, to save space in the logbooks, we are signing mostly as Team East.

All hides were in good condition and found quickly due to great hints provided.

We had been planning an overnight trip to Kwolyin for some time and the cooler weather forecast for this weekend firmed up our plans! We set sail early to grab a bunch of Waymarks in York before powering our way east bagging caches as we went along.

G’day there Whitburn2321, I was in this area today and found your cache Badjalling North GC90D7K. Our name was added to the log book at 11:24 am on 18 December 2021. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!

We took up Geocaching on 3 March 2013 and this cache brings our total find count to - 12953.

We have travelled from Portland Victoria across to WA to see our daughter.

We are the victims of what we have now learned was unleaded petrol being added to the diesel tanks at Eucla. Many vehicles broke down across the Nullabor and we were one of the early ones.
As a result our car has been towed to Perth (from Cocklebiddy via Norseman and then Kalgoorlie)

She has now FIFO'd out again so we were able to borrow her car and head out to explore the wheatbelt. Day one and we headed to Kulin to tackle the Tin Horse Highway.
Day 3 of our trip and we leave Corrigan and head back to Perth. After reading about the Kwolyon rock we took a small detour to have a look then headed back again.

I'll bet this is stunning in Spring - all quiet here today though.

After the last two nights staying Northam it's time to move on. We couldn't get accommodation in Quairading so going a bit further east to Bruce Rock for two nights but of course grabbing caches as we go since there is Science souvenirs to claim. Think I should have enough finds by now but onward and upward.

We set out from Northam early this morning with the main aim the latest Adventure Lab in Kelleberrin. With that mission accomplished we wandered down the Kelleberrin-Yoting Road to see where it would take us. TFTC Whitburn2321

Thanks Whitburn2321 for placing and maintaining this cache. Out on a 6 day adventure with Barnzy12. Heading to complete the Holland track, we made plans to leave earlier than some others to collect a few more caches through the wheatbelt.

Today was around 400km with only 1 slight problem a bail spike through the tire, held up operations for all up around an hour by the time we nursed it to Narrogin and had it fixed.

Today we travelled from Perth to Kulin, via Northam, Quairading and Narrogin to pickup a few caches on the first day of our road trip. We snagged a flat between Pingelly and Cuballing so nursed the flat and limped into Narrogin.

We continued from Narrogin into Kulin which was our final rest stop for the day.

Enjoyed the back country road caching and getting out of the city, we’ve got a shorter travel day tomorow but big goals for the three days after that.

Thank you! Dad and I headed out on a geocaching day trip to Kellerberrin, Yoting and Quairading. We enjoyed the drive and the locations we found ourselves. Happy to make the find here.

The Better Half and I had planned to go out east of home to do some more caching when we noticed these new caches out a bit further so decided to drive out and find them. We arrived in the area well after the first finder so were second at each of the ones we found.

Cache found without any problems. Log signed and cache returned as found.

Chwiliwr and I had planned a trip to Kellerberrin to do the Adventure Lab today but when we noticed that some new caches had been published the previous night in this area changed our plans slightly to come via these caches to do them before heading onto Kellerberrin.

All caches found without too many issues. Logs signed and caches returned as found.
