It indeed appears that the Apple has fallen far from the tree. Sad we are looking forward for that hunt.
Found a zip tie that matches a previously posted photo of the cache but no container.
A quick stop in Waratah Bay and I convinced the family to let me go for one more geocache while they waited at the playground.. easy find here but the host plant is a little vicious! TFTC.
**#17539**During my stay at Sandy Point this cache **The Fruit Salad Series #2 Caravan Park** was also on my bucket listGreat hide! Loved it and decorated it with a blue heart !Thanks Lidlogger, for showing me this spot and for the placement and care of the container. TFTC
Tricky in the bushes! Thanks for the clue. My 10 year old was pretty happy to find it!
I recently quit my job of 8 years for a fresh start in an new one in a couple of weeks.
I needed to recharge. The last one had sucked the life out of me and I was spent. That’s it I thought…. I have to get away. Queensland? Hervey Bay to my uncle? It was all too hard and to be honest, I didn’t want to need to have a holiday to get over my holiday.
Somewhere remote. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do but relax and spend some well due time with the 3 and a half year old. She doesnt get enough of my time. I work to hard. And I hate it.
I ended up at Sandy point. I woke up and thought, we need to get out and have a look at this beautiful place. Where do we go? What is there to see? Where are the best places.
Geocaching! I haven’t had the time, energy or patience to really get out and about in years to be honest. Opened my app and thought… I’ll try and get the ones around. Didn’t know what the tolerance and patience of my 3 year would be like. Didn’t know what she was capable or and if a bit of bush bashing would be too much. I was wrong and didn’t need to worry.
What a trooper. “Let’s find more treasure mumma?” And so it be.
After doing the caches in Sandy point, we headed over to Waratah Bay. God this fourth is stunning. I had really forgot that. The competition with the 3 year old has began… I want to find it mumma!!! And I quietly pointed her in the direction of the cute little cache.

While at Wilsons Promontory we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A great theme for this series, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Lidogger for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Took two goes to find this cache had to put phone away and just search with instincts as the GPS was not happy. If you follow the track it will take you to the waterfall and another cache. Will have to return to collect the other caches.
Staying in the park right next to this cache so I finally got around to having a look for it. Quickly I realised that the branch that the cache was attached to had broken off and fallen as I found the cache on the ground.
I performed some repairs detailed in the following note, got the log signed and replaced.

I have replaced the zip tie with a new one and put the cache back into the same tree.
The inside of the cache was very wet so I have dried it and the log out. However a new O-ring is required otherwise the cache will continue to leak and I don’t have one on hand.
But for now the cache is back up and ready to go.

On a road trip to Waratah Bay with our caching friends and picking up a few caches along the way. This was the ninth cache for the day. After completing our walk along the beach in very windy conditions we headed up to find this cache. We did initially start looking on the inside of the fence when Wetjala ventured to the other side of the fence as he figured it wouldn't be possible to search for the cache in the caravan parks peak periods. It wasn't long B4 he had the cache in hand and was gloating about his find......... TFTC.
"It won't be in the caravan park" I said. "How do you get to the cache if there are caravans up here?" I asked. Did they listen to me? *Nope!* So after searching by myself while the unenlightened few continued on their merry but fruitless search within the caravan park I announced that I had located the apple cache which was astonishingly met with absolute bewilderment by my, er, *challenged* companions. "I did tell you" was my smug reply. Luckily for me my long term friends know me well so just sigh, roll their eyes and mostly ignore me!

Thanks for this cache Lidogger. We used to own an onsite van at this caravan park a long time ago when our children were little. It's been a long time since we've been back so we enjoyed the nostalgia.
Rebel found this one broken off and on the ground, but still attached while I looked further on. Replaced in a Banksia.
Out and about today with Rebel Acts on a loop that took us out through South Gippsland and down to the coast before returning home via Yarram.
We traveled through some undulating farmland with some great views before hitting the coast with some walks along the beach.
Some roads we had never traveled before and others not for quite some time.
There were a variety of hides and cache sizes, it being a tough and long day with a number of DNFs before getting home well after tea time.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Lidogger.

Out and about with Ski Pair traveling the roads less traveled on another tour of South Gippsland, We saw some great locations from the hills to the beach, we had a great day out.
This is one of the caches found today. Found this one on the ground the stick had snapped off the tree, i placed it back up in a Banksia.
Logs Signed as RASP Rebel Acts and Ski Pair
Thanks Lidogger for the cache.

Didn't stay long looking for this one, gps had me standing on the road at 0 m. Do the neighbors appreciate a cache here and the disturbance?
Sorry late logs. Staying in the area for 4 days with aqau. So glad the geocache brought me to the great view is lovely looking over the beach.
Thanks Lidogger
Thanks Lidogger
Woohoo find 210 for us!
This one had us stumped but the middle daughter found it!

Didn't have a lot of time to search but no luck in the 5 mins we had. Thanks for showing us this walk. There's no other information about these walks online at all
On the way back we found it. Yah! There's a car parked in the way which made it a bit tough.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
Haha! Always knew I preferred oranges to strawberries! A nice easy find for my nephew as I showed he and my niece their first caches. I think I'm still more interested than they are, but it was a fun experience none-the-less Thanks.
Once the GPS settled, we soon located the little apple This is a fun series, we’re enjoying our walk! Thanks Lidogger
Off to find our second piece of fruit. This was near the end of the track I had planned to walk down from the top road. I headed up the track firstly before reading the cache page or paying attention to what the finding device was saying. It ended up being on the other side of the fence from where I had gravitated to for the find. The coordinates were very accurate despite the cloud and tree cover. I hope the neighbours overlooking the court have been informed about what geocaching is and can enjoy the antics of us all searching for the cache. What a delightful place you live in.
Good co ords again has me another FTF, now is that a granny Smith ? nice hide TFTC lidogger
